There was a typo on the email I.e 2022/2023. But the Award letter reads 2023/2024

because PTDF made a mistake, this isn't the first time they've made a mistake. The emails have been sent to selected candidates. The list will probably be published tomorrow

Do they correspond to actual application numbers? or they just spoofed it to give a sense of legitimacy. If I recall correctly PTDF published a list of interviewees and their corresponding numbers sometime last year - it could be that is what they used to give an impression that it is the current application

If I remember correctly, it was Octave006 that told us exactly when the list would come out last year. I think he is a credible source of information on PTDF matters

Like I get ordinarily it would be termed scam email but how did the scammers get access to confidential information like the application numbers and photos and interfaces that looks like PTDFs saying shortlisted??

I agree the letter shouldn’t have been shared recklessly but that mail scares me more.

However, I will only talk about my observation on Saturday, August 19, 2023 between 4.30 - 5.30 pm.

I logged in and I saw another menu tagged 'References'. I clicked on it and saw what was written that the section is for German Applicants Only. I clicked it and I was presented with a form to input Academic or Professional References. Since I had not gotten any information about the scholarship, I did not fill.

Later, the References Menu disappeared. I traced the URL and tried accessing but I noticed that access had been restricted.

There is also something strange I notice on the portal under the Academic Information Menu. I noticed the Edit Button. I am not sure if it had been there before or it was recent. I know that anytime it is clicked, there is access restriction.

Someone already gave this information. Are you piggybacking off that information to give legitimacy to your 'interviews are going on claim' or are interviews genuinely taking place - if so are they physical or virtual interviews? are they rescheduled candidates?

It usually just details what amount will be allocated for your studies, and details such as your school and course and ofcourse the name of the scholar. Nothing to share here, this is not like job aptitude progression mail

Not by luck, they're actually very competitive. They give only 5 or 10 people the scholarship every year. Out of everyone that wrote the exam

Issue is that Chevron haven't recruited as frequently as the rest of them so their updated numbers are not anywhere. You're still right that American companies (Exxon) paid the best total package in the industry. I believe Chevron should be in that conversation but it has been so long since they did massive recruitment for graduates

I believe it's always a straight fight between those two for the best pay in that sector. I'm always surprised that Chevron is not in that dog fight. I had always believed (assumed?) that the American companies paid the best total package in that vertical. But for some reason, in Naija, Total upstream is almost always has the best total package

There are actually energy firms in Nigeria that top that. Exxon from my last calculation should sit ontop of the list

True that, and because you were once a staff of NLNG you would know better. Personally, because I know a graduate engineer at TotalEnergies E&P who confided in me what he earns, I just knew it'd be hard for any energy firm in Nigeria to surpass that. The pay is absolutely crazy.

It is true. The said person was meant to receive it last Wednesday but I guess due to some issues he was unable to get it.

On Friday he got a text asking him to check his mail for an important update. He reached out to them that there was nothing there.

So they were able to confirm that truly he did not receive the mail when others were getting and he got his today.

that's the nature of the market. Downstream pay is not terrible, it is actually fantastic - it is upstream pay that makes it look terrible

Judging by what I saw on this recent offer, NLNG pays well but not as much as IOCs. Total Upstream pay is handsome but Total Downstream pay is terrible.

This year's recruitment was swift. They kept to their word saying everyone will resume within a year of the advert being published.

How is the total number quite low? typically the numbers are not usually alot, maybe 100 at most. Given the number of people that did the AC, I imagine it must be challenging to find the best 100
