Kobojunkie: There is nothing in my post suggesting that he was the first to have disgraced Nigeria. Are you insinuating that because Nigeria has been disgraced many times over it should continue, or it's consequential anytime a "knuclehead" disgraces Nigeria? Has he not disgraced a nation? And where do you get your 140 million number from? Or are you implying that all Nigerians have shamed Nigeria? I don't get your point. Where is the pretense? |

@OP As much as I want to be compassionate, I have to take a rain check on this one. This young man almost succeeded in killing innocent people, and has disgraced a whole nation. I do agree with you that it is a great misfortune for everyone. Even though you are not advocating an easy pass for this man, your intent might be misconstrued as apologetic -- hope not though. |

blacksta: I don't think the OP meant that white folks should rule us in any capacity. I believe he is saying we should employ their services in certain areas that need help. Let's face it, we need help. We should employ whoever((Black, White. Yellow, Blue) can get things done These current fools are not going to get things done -not in a million years. |

@ EmperorOlu, Thanks for your write-up. I concur with you on some of your assessments, and most Nigerians propably do as well. Unfortunately, Nigeria is not a country where a group of civilian can seize power and sustain it. There are two many forces (special interests ) at work in Nigeria to mount a serious counter attack if such an event ever occurs. Have you noticed that past successful coups in Nigeria were led by senior officers? Every attempt by junior ranked officers has failed due to the complexity of Nigeria, and because of the many generals that seem to litter the Nigerian armed forces that can quickly quell a revolt of any kind. The generals are part of the "special interests" group -rich and corrupt. A civilian group has a next to nothing chance of successfully toppling the Nigerian govt -it may be successful at best for a couple of hours before been suppressed. Rather than mount a cavalry that has no chance of sucesss, why not form a pressure group to fight these people. A pressure group with enough capital base to fight these oppressors. The general believe in Nigeria is that we need to fight the FG to effect changes, nothing can be further from the truth. What is needed are pressure groups in each geo-zones to fight the governors in the court of public opinion, and the courtroom. All of this rubbish is happening because people (masses) are not united, and are unwilling to fight for their rights. Anyway, I salute your courage. 1 Like |

@kosovo You have taken a positive stance and on that you should remain. If anybody wants to promote hate, there are hundreds of hate sites that promote bigotry. Nairaland is a place where Nigerians air their views for the betterment of their country. Freedom of speech should be practiced with tolerance without promoting hate. @ MandingoII How would you feel if a KKK member used the "N" word to identify your people in the name of freedom of speech? Hate is not good and should not be condoned. Black people all over the world are being subjected to cruelty by other races. And here we are discussing if we should continue hating each other. Ask your self: Does it make any sense? Why do we want to tear each other apart? This is the problem in the AA community as well -lack of brotherly love. It beats me why anyone will want to deride their own. Just my 2 cents. |

kosovo: Thanks for lending your ears to the concern(s) of your patrons. Start by banning mekuxx, *jona, nachara, willy-willy, metal-gong. You don't have to wait for long, these perpetual offenders will cross your path in no time! Once again, thanks for lending your ears. |

mekusxxx: FYI, Sagamite and I are not the same. Every new member who comments on this thread is Sagamite? I thought you were the "smart one." Obviously, you are not as smart as you assert. Considering the amount of time you devote to NL, it doesn't take an Einstein to figure out that you are jobless. And if you are jobless, you simply don't pay taxes -simple deduction. |

ndu_chucks: Why ask someone who does not have a job to pay taxes or expect him to know where the tax office is? Every society has them - free loaders. |

Fasola is doing good but he needs to relax on placing too much burden on people who are not accustomed to paying taxes in the first place. |
