Health / Laugh Your Way To A Stronger Immune System by eyitiade(m): 10:09pm On Jan 08, 2016
Another simple and natural way to boost the immune system without
synthetic drugs is with Laughter. The Bible states in proverbs that
“ A merry heart does good like a medicine...”( Proverbs 17:22a) and
now scientific evidence available proves the validity of this scriptural
statement.

We all laugh but do we laugh often enough? The more time we give to
laughter or rejoicing, the more robust our immune system and the
healthier we are. This applies not just to laughter but to all positive
emotional states like joy, love, happiness, hope, faith etc. Several
researches have been done to demonstrate that positive emotions
strengthen the immune system while negative emotions tend to cause
a drop in our immunity. This observation is one of the key principles
of the new medical field of psychoneuroimmunology.

Most of the researches done on the effect of positive emotions,
especially laughter on the immune system demonstrate a marked
increase in the level of immuoglobulin A(hormonal component) in
the saliva compared to before exposure to comedy materials. Another
team of researchers Lee Berk and his associates at the School of
Medicine Loma Linda University also obtained similar findings for
other components of the immune system apart from IgA. They observed
that IgM and IgG are also increased in response to mirthful laughter. In
addition, after an hour of comedy there was an increase in the following
cellular components of the immune system:

1. Increased number of B cells
2. Increased number and activation of T cells
3. Increased number of Helper T cells
4. Increased ration of Helper/suppressor T cells
5. Increased number of and activity of Natural Killer cells(NK)
6. Increased level of gamma interferon

The above research findings demonstrates empirically that laughter has
beneficial effects on the immune system and so watching programs that
make you laugh has profound health benefits.

In the 2006 hit film/book “The Secret” a woman Cathy Goodman, gave
an account of how she overcame cancer within 3 months by affirming
constantly “Thank You for my healing” and watching funny movies.

The most famous triumph-by-laughter account was by Norman Cousins who
was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (a degenerative disease causing
the breakdown of collagen). Given up to die within a few months in 1965 and
almost paralysed, he checked out of the hospital and moved into a motel.
From here he placed himself on a high dosage of vitamin C and continuously
watched comedy programmes. His condition gradually started to improve
until he gained the full use of his limbs and returned to his full time employment.
He lived till 1990. All from the power of laughter!

With the above examples it is clear that you can use your amuse system to
boost your immune system. By incorporating deliberate laughter in your life
you are saying Yes to a healthier life and more resistance to sickness and
diseases. Laughter today will keep the doctor away or at least reduce cost
of medicare.

This also shows that the work of our local comedians and stand up acts like
Julius Agwu, Basketmouth, Ali Baba etc. has its own health benefits and it
is to our advantage to have some of their materials at home to entertain
ourselves or even attend their shows. If you like you can go for the American
or other foreign comedy programmes like Eddie Murphy, Mr Bean, Chris Rock,
Ben Stiler etc.

The important thing is to laugh a lot and reap the benefits by any means
necessary. Your immune system will thank you for it.

Health / Re: Prevent Illness By Boosting Your Immune System Naturally Without Drugs Or Herbs by eyitiade(m): 1:21pm On Apr 18, 2012
This stuff works even on skin infections! About two months ago, one of my medical doctor
colleagues noticed a fungal skin infection on the side of my face close to my right. He
recommended a month long treatment with Nizoral/ketoconazole with clotrimazole cream(canesten)
I thought to myself, how will I start using antibiotics for a skin infection while writing
a book on how to boost the immune system. So I decided to apply the 7th technique in the
book to the skin issue and viola! within 48hrs I could no longer see the skin rash. I asked
my wife to look for it and she too couldn't find it. When I got to the office, I asked my
collegues to look for it and they too couldn't find it!

I wrote this book because I know it works. If you will like to know what this 7th technique is
and the other six techniques, follow the directions above and buy the book.

My name is Eyitayo Adenuga and I have something wonderful to share with you.

Like the saying goes “Health is Wealth” so information on how to restore and
maintain health needs to be regarded as important. What I want to share here
is based on my own personal experience and on my desire to share the secrets
I discovered with the world.
I WAS ALWAYS SICK
My story is a very simple one. I remember that when growing up I was more
often than not attached to an infusion bag/drip! Fortunately my Dad is a
paediatrician, so I provided him with a lot of practice. In fact, I was sick so
often at one time that some people wondered if I was a “sickler”.

Being one with an AA genotype, I was naturally expected to be more
susceptible to malaria fever and earlier in life I was, from primary school,
through secondary school up to university the trend was no different. I had at
least four to six episodes in a year. Even during NYSC I remember that my very
first night on camp was spent in the sickbay because of malaria. It was during
the period of my NYSC that I experienced the meaning of tinnitus(ringing in the ears)
after attempting to use quinine to treat malaria. However, this trend of coming
down with malaria fever several times in a year continued until I made an
interesting discovery.
WHAT I DISCOVERED
Looking back, I realized most of my malaria attacks were during periods of high
stress, especially emotional stress. The higher the stress the more prone to
malaria I became. I then made an interesting discovery about stress being
largely responsible for lowering our immunity. So I decided to perform an
experiment in December 2008 to see if I could influence my health by
managing my stress using various techniques. I was astonished with the
results! By December 2009 I had not come down with malaria once during this
period despite going for an intensive physical training programme for four
months. So throughout the year 2009 and 2010, I did not come down with any
fever. In 2011, due to a slack in my stress management discipline, I treated
malaria once in October 2011. Since then till now, I have been able to keep my
immune system strong enough to prevent malaria and other infections. For
two years and ten months uninterrupted, I did not have to treat myself for
malaria nor use antibiotics. Great isn’t it?
WHAT I WANT TO SHARE
The truth is this, anyone living in a malaria endemic area like Nigeria has a
natural immunity against malaria. That is why malaria does not kill us as fast as
someone who has been living in another country for years. Such a person needs
prophylaxis ASAP because of the lack of this immunity. Medical scientists say
that by the age of seven years this immunity to malaria is fully established.
However due to poor nutrition and/or unmanaged stress, we might experience a
dip in this immunity that allows us to come down with malaria fever. So the
key is to eat properly and keep our immunity high enough to prevent
susceptibility to malaria/plasmodium.

What I want to share is the secrets I learnt that strengthens our immune
system enough to keep malaria, typhoid and other infectious diseases at
bay or at least, to greatly reduce their frequencies of onset.
