Freedom is the right and capacity of people to determine their own actions in a community which is able to provide for the full development of human potentiality.

In capitalism, only those who have money can enjoy real freedom. Those who have no means of living other than selling their labor power may have freedom, but their opportunities are always restricted. ABUJA- THE Senate Thursday passed into law that which would guarantee the validity of any admission offered by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB to any candidate for a period of three academic years from the date of the conduct of Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Also, the Senate finally put to rest the controversy trailing the conduct of the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) by the Universities, thereby declaring it illegal and unconstitutional, just as the upper chambers said that with the decision, the question of who was in charge of admission has been answered. Deliberating on the report by the Senator Barau Jibrin led Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND, of a Bill for an Act to amend the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Act and other matters connected thereof, 2016( SB.245), the senators amended subsection (a) of section 5 to read as follows: ” 5(b) the Matriculations Examinations conducted by the Board shall be the sole examinations required for admission and entry into all Universities, ‘ Polytechnics (by whatever name called) and Colleges of Education (by whateVer name called), to the exclusion of any other institution or body.” With the passage of the bill, it would now require the president to assent to the bill where it would then become a law and with the bill coming from the Executive, President Muhammadu Buhari may not delay in the signing of the bill into law. The Nigerian rapper who has released released a studio album every year since his debut in 2011, is working on maintaining his figures and keeping his momentum going, by dropping a studio album in 2016.

The new album will be released in December, as songs on the album have already been recorded. It will feature hit song ‘Who you epp’, along with other singles. No official title, artwork, and tracklist has been released.

This will be Olamide’s 7 album. In 2011, he launched his career with “Rapsodi”, and went further to release a string of albums every year including “YBNL” (2012), “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth” (2013), “Street OT” (2014), “2 Kings” (joint album with Phyno, 2015), and “Eyan Mayweather” (2015).

2016 has been a big year for the rapper. A four year old girl from central India, who went to the doctors complaining of an itch, has had 80 maggots removed from her ear which she got from living in dirty condition.
80 maggots have been removed from the ear of a 4-year-old girl, Radhika Mandloi, from central India, after she suffered from extreme pain and itching in her left ear as a result of living in dirty conditions.

Dailymail UK reported that medical doctors were shocked to find a blow fly attracted to bad smells inside her ear which had laid around 80 larva.

They warned if she was left untreated for any longer, the insects could have began to start eating at her brain – putting her life in danger.

Dr Raj Kumar Mundra, from the hospital, said: ‘I was very shocked to see so many eggs. This type of bug is attracted to foul smells and extremely unhygienic conditions.

It was a night of amazing performances from MI, Ice prince, Falz, Darey and Davido as Abuja came to a halt at the Star Music Trek concert, which held at Old parade ground, Abuja on Saturday, 8th October 2016.

The evening saw Abuja fans troop in large numbers despite the heavy down pour to see their favourite artistes perform when the concert kicked off with the host of the night, comedian Gbenga Adeyinka dancing to the Star Music The Trek theme song ‘My City Rocks’ which featured hooks from various artistes performing at this year’s tour.

The show opened with Gbenga’s tribute to Abuja hip-hop heads that included, Terry Da Rapman, Modenine and Six Footplus. As usual, the organisers gave opportunity to amazing upcoming local acts that stunned the audience. Their lyrics and stage manoeuvres belied their rookie status. This reinforces Star’s commitment to create diverse platforms to stimulate a positive urban music culture through the Star Music The Trek concert experience. Manchester United football club has signed Wayne Rooney's six year old son Kai Rooney to it's youth development squad.

Wayne Rooney has been taking Kai to training at Carrington alongside fellow footballer Michael Carrick and his son Jacey who is also a member of the development squad.

“Wayne and Michael really get into it when they bring their boys down. The kids seem to love it and have been coming down regularly in the week to train with the young development squad.
“It’s a bit funny because both their dads aren’t playing as much any more but these guys could be the club’s stars of the future.”
