A Nigerian man has accused the police and security officers at Novare Mall in Lekki, Lagos, of assaulting him because he recorded a Lebanese boss assaulting a Nigerian in the mall.
According to Ajibola, he went to the mall to watch a movie when he saw a Lebanese man ill-treating a Nigerian man. He immediately began recording the incident and when the Lebanese saw that he was being recorded, he got the security officers and police to deal with Ajibola for recording. They also forced him to delete the video but he was able to recover one video which he has now shared online.

The Boko Haram terror group has released a footage showing attacks on troops in the north eastern part of the country. Last week, Boko Haram insurgents ambushed a convoy in Balagallaye village in the Boboshe area
outside Bama in Borno state.

An officer said that the soldiers had received a report that “around 100 terrorists”had gathered in Boboshe and that the “troops mobilised to fight them” with the army suffering casualties as many soldiers were reported missing.
The Boko Harm terrorists attacked and overran a military base in Yobe state in the second major assault on the armed forces in two days.
The militants invaded the base holding more than 700 soldiers in Yobe State.
Fewer than 100 soldiers returned following the attack, which took place just 24 hours after Boko Haram fighters ambushed a military convoy in neighbouring Borno State…

Yesterday, a youth corps member, Linda Angela Igwetu, who was meant to pass out today July 5th, was shot dead by a trigger-happy policeman in Abuja.
Linda was out celebrating her passing out with her friends when the policeman shot the car she was in. She sustained gunshot wound and was rushed to Garki hospital where she died.

A fleeing suspected armed robber has died in an accident involving the vehicle that he and other gang members snatched from a woman in Katsina State.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Muhammadu Wakili, who confirmed the incident said

“On Wednesday, a patrol team attached to the Sabon Gari Police Division received a distress call that armed robbers had attacked one Hajiya Aisha Abdullahi in her house at Sabuwar Unguwar Quarters, Katsina. They robbed her of one Toyota Highlander with number plate, AS 579 KTS.

“The police team swung into action and while moving towards the scene of the robbery, the policemen sighted a vehicle with the said description at an accident scene adjacent to GRA Jumamat mosque.

“The only occupant, suspected to be one of the robbers, died in the accident.”
Wakili said investigation revealed the identity of the robber, which led to the arrest of other three suspects who were in police custody.

A family that was lucky to have escaped the horrific fire incident yesterday at the Otedola bridge along Lagos-Ibadan expressway are asking for help in locating their son, 3, who went missing in the chaos that ensued during the fire incident.
According to reports shared by a family source, the boy named Eyitayo was with his twin sister, mother, and driver in a car just a few feet away from the fuel tanker that exploded.

Immediately after the explosion occurred, the mother grabbed Eyitayo's twin sister while the driver, Joseph grabbed Eyitayo and they fled for safety.

Till now, the whereabouts of Eyitayo and the driver is unknown. The mother and the little girl are safe.

Nollywood actor Victor Osuagwu made news when he married his longtime woman in a tipper, causing tongues to wag as to why a man of his calibre would do such.

Speaking with Saturday Beats, Osuagwu said he feels fulfiled using a tipper for his wedding.

In his words;

“I felt very fulfilled using a tipper truck as my wedding vehicle because that was my target, I never thought of anything less than what happened on that day. Some people thought the picture was from a movie set but a lot of people knew it was my wedding. It was a long journey going to the reception and we caused a heavy traffic in town. It was not that I did not have the good cars or I did not have the money to rent lovely cars but people that know me are aware that I am a crazy entertainer and I wanted to show the world another part of me,” Osuagwu said.

On how his wife took the decision;

“I wanted to carry over entertainment from the television to reality. My wife never knew I was going to do that even Francis Duru who was my best man. When we came out of the church, people just noticed that there was a well decorated truck but nobody knew what was going on. People thought the lorry was there to convey goods until my wife told me that we should go into the car as her leg was aching because of the shoe she wore. When she asked which of the cars we were to use, I pointed at the lorry. She was so surprised and it was one of the biggest shocks of her life. She was dumbfounded. Francis Duru overheard what I told my wife and had to ask the same question and I told him it was the lorry my wife and I would ride in. I told everyone to enter all the available SUVs but that we would arrive at the reception in the tipper truck. All my wife said was, ‘this is going to be great but how would I climb into it?’ the vehicle was not an ordinary lorry but a double hassle truck, the big one. When we got to the lorry, the people brought a ladder for her to climb into the lorry.”

A 43-year-old Nigerian man, Remigius Duru Okonkwo was brought before Phnom Penh court, Cambodia on June 17, for defrauding a Vietnamese businesswoman of $356,000 USD.

According to the victim identified as Darg Mai Nga, on January 2018, she met the suspect via social media. On January 10, the suspect went to Hanoi to meet the victim, and convinced her to invest in a brick-making factory in Cambodia.

The suspect took the victim to visit Cambodia to see the the factory site, and told her that it belonged to his friend. The victim believed his story and she decided to invest in the business.

Nigerian man arrested in Cambodia for scamming Vietnamese businesswoman out of $356,000

The victim subsequently transferred money 5 times to a bank account, sending US$ 356,000 in total.

After receiving all the money, the suspect turned off his phone so the victim was unable to contact him for a while.

On June 15, the suspect called the victim, and told her that the factory was nearly completed, but he needed her to invest another US$150,000.

After that, the victim didn't believe the suspect anymore, so she made an appointment to meet in Cambodia again, and called the police, who arrested the suspect when he came to meet her.
