Segun Afolabi, a 26 year old Finacial Analyst and ex president of the Nigerian Economics Association, covenant university, has been murdered by his gateman and his neighbor who had interest in the car he bought about a week ago.
The incident happened on Monday, November 4, 2019, at his residence in Gbagada, Lagos state. It was gathered that the suspects, after killing Mr Afolabi, wrapped him up duvet and put him in the boot of his own car.
They the drove the car to the front of Gbagada General hospital, where they dumped his corpe and drove off. The gateman later sent his wife ton Afolabi’s house to steal all the remaining valuables there.

The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Wednesday said it arrested 42 suspects over rape, kidnapping and other criminal activities in the territory.



The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Command, Mr Bala Ciroma, disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja.



He said that 26 of the suspects were kidnap syndicates arrested during a Joint Counter Kidnapping Operation involving the Police, the Military and other security agencies tagged “Operation Sharan Daji”.

Ciroma said that the suspects were part of different kidnap syndicates operating along Kuje, Rubochi, Kwali and Abaji axis of the FCT.
He said that the exhibit recovered from the suspects were four locally fabricated fire arms, one dane gun with 10-round cylinder loader, four cartridges and three cutlasses.

The Lagos State Police Command says it is presently conducting an investigation on the involvement of a certain Mr Chukwunoso Happiness and his wife, Blessing in the trafficking of two children.


The wife, Blessing Chukwunoso was reportedly arrested on October 31st at about 8:30pm after the police attached to the Divisional police Ojo division, received credible intelligence, that the couple were involved in child trafficking.



Following the intelligence report, detectives from Ojo Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Abdullah Malah, tracked Chukwunonso Blessing (30) of No 23 Masebinu Street, Igbede, Ojo to a motor park at Alaba International Market while attempting to board a vehicle to Onitsha, Anambra State with two children.


A source, Nonso Paul revealed to Vanguard that the woman was found along Alaba International Market with two children trying to board a vehicle to Onitsha, Anambra State.
