Which means they already knew those that will be taken because they cannot make such categorical statement since there are other candidates yet to be interviewed and the selection process is yet to begin.

Even if they already knew the likely candidates to be employed before interview, for me, letting the cat out of the bag is unprofessional because if anything contrary happens, you will NEVER agree that the recruitment was transparent.

I would advise you to still pray and put your trust in God because only Him cannot fail.

We shouldn’t just give ourselves unnecessary pressure. Nobody has been given any APT letter and to the best of my knowledge, this recruitment is VERY VERY VERY transparent. People will just wake up and start drawing unfounded conclusion. We all should keep calm.

You should have asked him to prove his affiliation with DPR, how strong/influential his help can be and to provide more details from your profile since he claimed he got access just to know whether the whole thing is genuine or just another scam. A scammer would have none of this and would end the call by him/herself. Although there are many scammers around, it is a well-known fact that some people actually get the chance to select someone and depending on who they are, they decide to make money out of it. I am not saying this is the case but it's possible.

Lost interest immediately the guy mentioned the money. Either legit or not, wasn’ ready to pay a dime. I knew the guy probably picked my number when I signed the attendance before the test.

It is not scam. it's about updating into a DPR portal that many of us log into everyday. They didn't demand I send anything to any e-mail address, neither did he request payments or favour.

Good. Cos 2 days after I wrote my test in Lagos, a random number just called me and was telling me he works in DPR and he just saw my profile. He went on to say he can help provided I pay 300k. I immediately call him off, he end the call.

Pls be careful o. Might be a scam. People might have access to the attendance written on interview day and might wanna play a fast one. Just my observation though.

During my interview I asked one of the interviewer when they are likely to get back to us, he said early next year.
Now for those people saying January is no possible, I’m presently a Federal worker, I did my interview in Dec 2012 and got appt letter first week of January 2013. In fact my appt letter read Jan 1st 2013. So, It’s very possible. Secondly, pls and pls always refrain from using abusive or derogatory remarks for each other here. We are all potential colleagues and we shdnt be starting on a negative note, I have a very positive conviction that I and all of us here will be candidates of God’s mercy as we wait. I have been APC for so long, I had even started forgetting about DPR. Just now I decided to log on one last time before deleting the portals homepage from my phone. Lo and behold! I had access to my account once again!
Showing my interview date and location.. grand cubana hotel jabi Abuja for 15 Dec 2017 batch c...this has long elapsed..what to do now? I don't know.
Will probably call DPR's hotline after the holiday to find out my fate..
Please are there some APC guys still on this thread..try logging into your portal and see what's up.. I'll try uploading pics from my portal, I don't know how to yet cause i'm new to nairaland.

It is our responsibility to pray to God Almighty for merit to be adhered to. He can change the heart of men.

DPR will give letters to people on merit and by the Grace of God whom I serve, I will be one of those that will receive the letter of appointment(Amen)

What I am about to say might be offensive to some candidates on this thread.
A lot of candidates here have raised some very interesting points as regards to the FCC factor. But before that, a lot of candidates by their actions already disqualified themselves from being successful in the interview.
Before the guys in DPR pick out the list of successful candidates as approved by the FCC, they have to firstly weed out the unsuccessful candidates from the ones that have a better chance of being successful.
1. They would probably weed out candidates that missed the interview outrightly.
2. They might also weed out candidates that were absent on the day that they were to be interviewed and instead went to other venues to be interviewed.
3. They might also weed out candidates that came with incomplete documentation, or fraudulent documentation with regards to age and qualification. (Check your interview invites, proper documentation was labelled as a requirement).
Putting these factors into consideration, more than half of the candidates invited fall under at least one or two of the aforementioned categories.
By time they might have reduced the numbers, factors like interview/ CBT test performance, quota system or stake holder slots might now play a role in who may or may not be successful.
In all, Gods grace is the ultimate, but come on, if you didn't do what was expected of you, like for instance, honoring the interview invite, then it would be unfair on other candidates that honored the invite, if God favoured someone who missed the interview outrightly.
My opinion by the way. Please guys, no insults.

From my understanding, the idea of quota system is to reshuffle. A particular state mit already be well represented in the organisation so it is possible to cut out that state assimilation. Correct me if I'm wrong on the quota system function tho

According to what I know, this recruitment is not done to balance the lopsided areas. NO
The function of FCC in this particular recruitment is to ensure that all states are ably represented in this recruitment according to the quota system they have worked on and derived taking no consideration of what the current staff strength of each state presently represented in DPR.

i have been wondering while some of the interviewees were asked simple questions (in some cases just 3 spannin 2-3 minutes), while others were asked difficult questions(in some cases over 10 spanning over 15-30 minutes)...
the only logical conclusion is dat those who were asked difficult questions and spendin longer time during the interview are those who performed well during the test and who ve a higher likelihood of getting the job and those who spent just few minutes were just interviewed to fulfil righteousness!!...this is just an opinion pls nobody should attack me for it....anyways goodluck to everyone!

Wait until letters starts rolling out. The response of your first question can land you 9 other questions. Secondly, what about having realised they are behind schedule, they need to minimize time for each candidate and thirdly, have you heard about “GRACE” before?
I was only asked a question(where is the capital of United Nations) during the interview of my present job and mind you, it’s a Fed job where someone who spent like 45 mins in there didn’t get the job.

Firstly, I didn’t say I work in FCC. I only said I work in a Federal Commission where we liaise always with Federal Characters before we employ.
Now what I’m saying is this, DPR will be the one that will choose the successful candidate and will send the list to the FCC for them to check if DPR followed the standard state quota system. I hope you understand. But sincerely I don’t know how they share the state quota and why some states are more than others

i always laff when i see people neglect FCC thinking DPR is the real deal, i tell you at this stage FCC has more say in this recruitment than DPR. DPR has done its part now its FCC that will handle the selection and send the list to of the selected candidates to DPR.

FCC won’t handle and send the selected list. They will only ask for list of selected candidates to ascertain if the state quota system is adhered to. I work in a Federal Commission and I know 100% how the FCC issue works

They are really checking your age and birth cert cos you are GT. They asked my age and I said 31. The interviewer was furious until the other told him I was EH. So he said no problem.

I was like, why are you asking me since you have it with you.

He recorded everything in my presence and asked me why a third name in my B. Sc why other documents have just two names and I told him that I've sworn an affidavit for addition of name. He smiled and said that he saw it.

Then why did he ask again since he saw it?

Immediately, I got into the interview room, the 2nd man started again, this 9 on your birth certificate looks like 5 and I started laughing. I tried to explain and he said "I don't want to argue with you". I kept quiet and the 1st man looked at it and told him that it is actually 9.

I have to provide my baptism card since I am a catholic and the 1st man confirmed to him that it is actually 9.

He still asked me to give him any of my other documents and I gave him my National ID which did not even bear my date of birth and he just glanced through.

And the interview continued.

I don't blame them because the woman who wrote it has a very funny handwriting.

In fact, the 2nd man still went ahead to check my primary certificate and asked me when did you begin primary school? When did you complete primary school? And you were born which year?

You obtained primary certificate in 1998, when was your state created? And I answered 1991 and he smiled and asked his colleague, I thought it is 1999 and his colleague told him no, it is 1991.

After this, he became relaxed and did not ask any further questions.

They actually take the issue of age serious.

In fact, it got me wondering if they would have gone ahead to interview me if I did not clarify issues with them.

The truth is it doesn’t take anything away from one to check his portal everyday. I was envisaging that situation that interview invite might just be rolled into portals without text messages or mails. And it was so. I got the text message a day to my interview but luckily was aware 10 days before.

If I read the above comments correctly: The first guy is believing that having his name on page 1 number 15, means he is the 15th highest scorer in the CBT, while the second person is believing that the numbering during interview is arranged according to who they want to take, which means he's the second person DPR wants to take ...Ok, I read you all!

No offence please, but let renew our mind. The number I was during the interview have nothing to do with my 'selectability', and so is everyone.

I understand that most of us need this job, but at this point please, no need for vain guessing and empty insinuations. Just go and keep praying. I will keep praying to the Almighty God for my life is in His Hands, and if by His Grace and Mercy I am selected, then Glory to Him, but if I am not, I know He will still do better things with my life greater than DPR, and how I wish everyone on this thread could see it this way.

Just show your grievances to him and see how remorseful he is, you can even report him to his parents. I think they won’t be proud of what he has done.
