Most likely by January, navy and airforce forms would ve been out. This is because airforce and navy cadets ll pass out by December and January respectively. The army should be out February. This is because the dssc cadets ll be passing out by April 24. Goodluck

@emily, police don't have a enough. A police man once told me dat police officers retire almost every month, he gave me an example that wen he came in, they were about 2k, which means that wen dey wil go, about dat 2k will go. He also said police nids ova 200k officer but politics won't allow it.

@Henryblaze, dia is notin like break wen u are in camp o. Rber FG only gives 25th and 26th as xmas break, dey may just allow d rest to b in camp dia, not going home.

Finally, I tot d training is a year, nd if its so, den I blive successful once will enta camp b4 dis year runs out, cos they wil want evrytin to end next year...

I don't think they will plan to start a recruitment process in 2014 and end it 2016. Let's watch sha, if dey don't call Nov, we still have Dec and Jan.

DSS has every business to do with the elections. Its in their mandate to forestall any act that would threaten internal security (of which politically motivated violence is one of them). They are also charged with the responsibility of vetting prospective appointees to public office.
A large number of The Service personnel were deployed to both Osun and Ekiti states during their governorship elections, they were also deployed to Niger state during the Niger East senatorial bye-elections. The Service is definitely going to be stretched beyond the level it has ever been before during the forthcoming general election in order to ensure a peaceful event.
That said, its still possible camp is going to be this November, a 1 or 2week break will be given in December for Christmas.

Hv u also tot that, if election would delay d recruitment, they would have known well to have left everything until after election, instead of starting and stoping half way to attend to election?

Training should be January, I have taken my time to make some observations. Its like SSS calls for training on the sixth month, counting from the exam month.

That of 2012, the exam was June and training started November, which was the sixth month. So we should still exercise more patience.


For those saying people are already doing documentation, we should have in mind how slow the FG does their recruitment.

Those saying after election, SSS has no business with election, if its INEC now, I would believe the after election gist...

Have u considered having close to 400 people in camp and also ensuring pre,Election and post election security.

With the 2011 post election incident, definitely room 4 repitition of such won't be allowed. So priotizing so as to avoid divided attention is paramount, never the less if no Signal 4rm Yellow house till December then its after election.

However, SSS is not the only security agency in Nigeria, however I believe their are people whose main duty would be training new officers and securing the camp... Election can never be the reason for delay, if not they would have left the whole process until after election...

Before November ends, we will all know our fate...

For the same recruitment, a CG was forcefully retired.

For the same recruitment, people died.

For the same recruitment, a new committee was formed to help make things right. Something that has not happened before.

Yet, we have not heard anything for more than a year the application started. Who knows what will happen next before this process will be conducted, I only pray it shouldn't be a bad one...

Please, we should not base our hopes solely on any job in Nigeria, they are highly uncertain...
