Australia is not easy to migrate, to get its PR is very tough.

Please, who told you so.

Australia and Canada are almost the same ( PR wise ). I personally find it easier and straight forward.

The major difference is that Australia is further away from Nigeria and also they also have a high cost of living.

Hmm. No problem then.

Why do people rarely talk about going to Australia.

Personally, it is my top schooling destination. Even though it's cost of living and education is expensive, it is still my first choice.

I intend doing my Masters in Mining Engineering in Australia. Mine Engineers seems to be in high demand over there and they also pay well. I believe with this career path, it would be easier to get PR and eventually become a citizen.

As about the high cost of living and education over there, I have a plan that if followed rigorously would help me take care of my bills over there.

I'm still an undergraduate so I believe I have some time to follow through with my plan.

Good day guys. Followed this thread from the beginning and it is really amazing.

For as long as i can remember, I have really love Australia. I intend doing my masters there with a goal of getting pr and then citizenship.

As I'm currently an undergraduate in Nigeria, I have researched and i came up with a road map to achieve my goals. But then I have some questions to ask.

1. Is there any way to bypass paying tax as a crypto/forex/stocks trader in Australia?

2. In Mechanical, Electrical and Mine Engineering, which is best to do my Masters in as I'm currently studying Mechatronics engineering (B.Eng).

I would really love to get a reply from experts in the house as it would help me fine tune my plans before my graduation.

Thanks in advance.
Ps: I love Perth, WA. grin

Send me a mail OK

1 - 3. Cowrywise can do a lot most especially savings. It helps you to be properly guided on how to meet your savings target either monthly or yearly. But me personally I didn't use it for savings, banks can do that for me. I invested on mutual fund with it. And you can watch your interest grow with the app

a. Meristem : I really love meristem and I do recommend it to any investor who needs stock brokers to trade stocks with.

b. Afrinvest is good too. But before you are qualified to trade stocks, you must have a CSCS account and a Clearing House Number (CHN)

For amount, it depends on your capabilities. But remember, the higher the amount, the higher the profit. That's why I laugh at people that always tell you to bring 5k to get 1 million. Can you imagine. It doesn't work like that. You use money to get money. But I advice you start small OK. And then build it like an edifice. Treasury bill under Afrinvest is minimum 100k.. Federal government bonds is minimum 1 mil some 5 mil minimum. For shares, is 10k minimum

4. Is for buying and selling. But we have short term investment and long term investments of shares.

NOTE: You must study the market properly ( following the daily stocks info before you invest)

All the best.

OK Boss, I just sent a mail.

As a student, what is the minimum amount one can use to invest in mutual funds, because I heard one need to invest bigger amount to get good returns from them.

Also what is the Investment period when buying shares.
what is the duration for short term investment and long term investments..

Floda, good morning! You can ask it here, so that others can learn

OK boss, my questions are

1. How does cowrywise, Meristem and afrinvest work

2. I learnt one can save on cowrywise while still investing with afrinvest and the likes, please clarify me on this.

3. how much is the minimum one can use to invest in afrinvest or meristeam

4. does shares just have to do with just buying and selling..

these are the few questions I can remember right now.
thanks for your answers in advance....

Nice question

I have learnt a lot in this 100 days o

Books : I have read very nice books that I believed will and have positioned me for life.

1. The Richest man in Babylon
2. Think and grow rich
3. Rich dad poor dad
4. The millionaire next door
5.The parable of dollars

I have been able to stop working for money rather to make money work for me. That I should not mind liabilities which removes money from my pocket but to focus more on assets which puts more money in my pocket.

I have been able to increase my investment by learning about the stock market.
I have three accounts now on Afrinvest, Meristem and Cowrywise.

Currently I own shares in Zenith bank, Fidelity and Dangcem ( I plan investing more in future)

I learned how to use Canva. Though I didn't do much.

Most importantly I learnt to save more, not only to save but to also invest and invest my gains too.

So far it has been so good. School should not open again. Our lecturers should just call us and ask us to swear that we understand all they have been teaching us.

NOTE: You can search for the authors of those books mentioned above if you care to read them for your good.

I am MULTIPLIER

Good day boss.

I must say, this is productivity at it's peak.

I noticed you invest in Afrinvest, meristeam, cowrywise and the likes. I also have interest in them. I have done a little research about them but I'm still confused.

I would appreciate if I can get your WhatsApp number so as to chat you up and get first hand info from you.

Please help a Nigerian student out.

I really can't switch. Currently in my department, we have like 3 guys that switched from mechanical and electrical engineering to my department. Don't know what they saw here.

I still love my department just accreditation issue.

Career / My Department/course Is Still Unaccredited. Help! by Floda: 8:04am On Oct 18, 2019
PLEASE DON'T IGNORE

GOOD DAY HOUSE..
I'm a 200l student studying an unaccredited engineering course in one of the Federal Universities of Technology here in Nigeria.

Although we are still new (our highest level is 400l). My department has got everything I thing we need to get accreditation but I fear what would happen if I get to my final year without my department still getting accreditated.

As at last semester I heard the accreditation team came to start the process. I think the first step was VERIFICATION, and I heard we passed it.

On my jamb admission letter, it's mechanical engineering that's there but on my school admission letter it's the course I'm studying.

Does it mean that if they don't still accredited as at when I'm to graduate, I would be given a certificate from mechanical engineering department.

I'm really uncertain about what would happen if I graduate from an unaccredited department.

Please professionals in the house, I would love to be enlightened on the consequences.

If you also graduated from an unaccredited department, please share your story and what you or what the school did.

Thanks in advance...

OK so your girlfriend is visiting you for the first time and you need advice on what to do...

well let me tell you what I would do if I were to be in your shoes..

1st you need to know that she is coming with her cousin because she doesn't fully trust you yet(don't believe anything she says... this is the real reason)... now it up to you to build that trust so that next time, she won't mind coming alone.

THINGS TO DO..
-Find out her favourite dish or snacks and try getting it for her, along with a chilled drink( although cooking for her is the best).. it shows that you care enough to make available what she likes..

-Make sure there is light(Nepa) but it best to have a standby generator. The presence of light in an apartment gives additional beauty to it.

-please put your place in order

-Dont watch any movie, even if she asks for one(she would be engrossed and might not give you enough attention.. don't forget her cousin is there, so you might not be that free with here).... you can play songs, it lots more better.

-At any chance you get, display affection.. like touching her hair, arms, hands or even kissing her I you get the chance...

-You can also stare at her till she notice you staring, when she asks why you are staring, tell her you just realizing how beautiful she is (she should be blushing now), then proceeded to slowly running the face of your middle finger down her cheeks... say and do these things so her cousin would see and hear you (it necessary her cousin notice that you like her, so next time she wont want to get in you guys way..... that if the cousin is smart)....

- Give all your attention to your girlfriend (it would further discourage the her cousin from coming with her again)

- At intervals make reference to how much fun it would have been if she didn't come with her cousin or tell her about some things you planned but can't carry on with because of the presence of her cousin....

just a few things I think i would do if I were to be in your shoes...

I know you might be thinking of banging her (nothing spoil sha we are guys and Konji na bastard), if you get the chance and she is interested, you can carry on with banging her... but don't forget she is your girlfriend, and if you truly love her I don't think you would be in a heist to bang her but rather be more concerned about making her have a lovely time at your place(my opinion though)

Good luck
