Crime / Tenant Stabs Landlord To Death In Anambra by Floraberry: 12:34pm On Oct 09, 2020
A 21-year-old man, Onyeamachi Mmaju, allegedly stabbed his landlord to death on Tuesday in Ogidi-Ani-Etiti in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The suspect had a petty fight with his landlord, Nonso Umeadi Oyiboko after he was accused of bringing too many women into the compound.

The allegation led to the death of the landlord when he was stabbed by the suspect in the heat of the argument.

Crime / Viral Video On Alleged Killing Of Youth By SARS In Delta False by Floraberry: 12:10pm On Oct 07, 2020
The viral video that showed the alleged killing of a youth in Ughelli, Delta State by Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has been tagged as false and misleading.

SARS came under attack by Nigerians on Saturday after a video showed that that the Policemen allegedly killed the victim and fled with his vehicle – a white Lexus Sport Utility Vehicle.

According to the Commissioner of Police, CP Hafiz Inuwa, on Saturday, at about 4:00 pm, a team of police personnel of Operation Safe Delta were on patrol along the Ughelli- Warri by Wetland Hotel, when the driver of a white Lexus 350 RX jeep with registration number ABC 484 DK immediately made a U-turn, and drive off on high speed as he
sighted the SARS operatives.

How the driver zoomed off was suspicious, so the Police were forced to intercept and arrest the two occupants in the vehicle, identified as Joshua Ambrose and Ovie Odafe.

They were on their way to the Police Station when one of the suspects, Ovie Odafe, jumped out of the moving vehicle and hit his head on the ground.

Politics / SARS Needs Reform Again- IGP by Floraberry: 11:56am On Oct 07, 2020
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, NPM, mni, has restated that the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) needs to be reformed because of the complaints about the extrajudicial acts by SARS and other Tactical Squads are not acceptable.

The IGP made this known when he hosted a delegation led by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, at the Force Headquarters on Monday.

In his address, the IGP noted that the activities of Federal SARS are regulated, they had been decentralized and reformed in 2019, but the controversy surrounding the Unit of the Nigeria Police Force calls for the need to address the flaws.

“When we came on board, there was an outcry about the extrajudicial activities of FSARS. For that reason, I decentralized FSARS, gave the responsibility to the State Commissioners of Police, and changed their mode of operation.
