The first serves are disappearing. Unforced errors creeping in. Three deuces in the second game of the second set. Finally, he holds. It's one game apiece. |

davidylan: Nadal is more mentally stable than Murray, so I'll go for Rafa. I'm hoping Federer goes past Djokovic because should the Djoker beat Fed and win the title, he'll overtake Federer as the new world number two. I pray that doesn't happen. |

The fourth and last Grand Slam of the year has kicked off today. For the first time in a while, Federer is not the main favourite to win - don't forget he is the defending champ and a four-time winner of the tournament. Nadal is seeded first, Federer second and Djokovic third. Federer and Djokovic are in the same half. Will Nalbandian shock us like he did late last year? The women's field is quite open, with no clear favourites. . . except of course the Williams' sisters. So who do u think will win this year's tournament? Let's talk about the matches. The Draws |

I agree with Debo, creating threads for major matches and tournaments, not just football, would create more awareness. Comments after matches/upcoming matches, off-the-field/court news can be talked about on the main threads. |

No medal for the Switzerland in the tennis event. Blake just beat Federer in the first QF match. What a year it's been for the swiss master! ![]() |

Happy Birthday, Roger. I wish you a successful outing at Beijing. How about having a Nadal - Federer final at the finals? I don't think Murray and the Djoker will give us the pleasure. |
