Many years ago, Some one made a statement that South East can never like Buhari even if he built a highway to heaven for them. I laughed it off at that time.

I have found out that is the truth because Buhari built a bridge (2nd Niger bridge) worth billions of Naira for the south east yet they even hate him more than before.

With all due respect, I am sorry to say you have a mental problem and you really need to seek urgent medical attention before your situation becomes untreatable.

What is 2nd Niger Bridge? How is that a favor; a bridge that will be tolled? Who even uses that bridge as we speak?

Buhari intentionally destabilized Southeast and turned the region to one of the most insecure regions, a region that was the safest and most secure regions in Nigeria before 2016?

Buhari destroyed Imo state by foisting Hopeless Uzodinma on Imo state people.

Buhari used his wickedness to make Nnamdi Kanu a star.

Buhari allowed Fulani herdsmen terrorists to almost overrun Southeast hinterlands which made Igbos to cry out for help and Buhari then deceived Southeast Governors with "I will hand over to one of you" which made Dave Umahi to decamp from PDP to APC and also made Southeast Governors to remain silent over Fulani herdsmen terrorists atrocities in Southeast in order not to offend Buhari who promised them Presidency while Southwest Governors came together to float Southwest Security outfit Amotekun, Southeast Governors got deceived by Buhari which made Igbos to cry out to Nnamdi Kanu who kept calling on SE Governors to do something and as they refused to act, Kanu under IPOB floated ESN a voluntary regional security network with the aim of fighting off Fulani herdsmen terrorists from the southeast hinterlands and forests.

The same Buhari turned around to use dangerous military force to clamp down on ESN and killed their leader which further radicalized some of their members who wanted to seek revenge for their murdered leader Ikonso.

The same Buhari radicalized unarmed flag waving IPOB members through use of military and DSS to abduct, kill and massacre unarmed youths waving flags. Remember, Nnamdi Kanu had been broadcasting even under Goodluck Jonathan.

Same Buhari proscribed IPOB even before they started fighting back.

This same Buhari kidnapped Kanu from Kenya which further set Southeast on fire and despite all pleas by well meaning and respected Igbos that were even close to Buhari to temper justice with mercy and release Nnamdi Kanu just to pacify the situation and restore peace in Southeast region, Buhari hardened his heart.

The same Buhari oversaw an electoral fraud that stole the mandate of an Igbo Presidential candidate and you are here talking rubbish, please dont get me provoked angry

Politics / Re: Response To Moses Ochonu On The Diverse Origins Of The Igbos Of Delta Igbo... by franchasofficia: 9:38am On Aug 22
tonychristopher:

Every border community in the world experiences migration, intermarriage, and cultural exchange with its neighbors. This phenomenon is not unique to the Igbos of Delta State.

Take, for example, Strasbourg. Many assume it is in Germany because of its German-sounding name, but it is actually in France, close to the German border. In Ondo State, Nigeria, a similar mix exists with the Ijaws. Omoyele Sowore of Sahara Reporters, for instance, is Ijaw but from Ondo State, as Ondo shares boundaries with Ijaw communities. Along the Shagamu-Benin Expressway, the last town in Ondo State is Ofosu, while the first town in Edo State is Ohosu, showcasing the similarity in names due to their proximity.

This same blend is observed between Anambra and Kogi States. In 2018, Governor Obiano of Anambra State appointed an Igala man, Bonaventure Enemali, as a commissioner. Enemali hails from Nzam in Anambra, a region near the Kogi boundary where indigenous Igbos also reside.

Similarly, in the Kwara/Kogi area, the Okun-Yoruba people exhibit this cultural and linguistic mix. Enugu and Ebonyi States share boundaries with Benue, while Ebonyi also borders Cross River. The influences are evident in their languages, names, and traditions.

In Abia State, towns like Abiriba, Ohafia, Arochukwu, and Bende, which are close to Akwa Ibom and Cross River, exhibit similarities in names, traditions, and attire. The traditional ruler of Abiriba is called Enachioken, and it is common to see Abia natives with names like Etim, Mang, Ekpo, and Ojo.

Given these widespread examples, I don’t see why the Igbos of Delta and Rivers States are often singled out for scrutiny when similar scenarios among the Yorubas in Kogi/Kwara or the Ijaws in Ondo are not questioned.

It is undeniable that the Igbos in Delta and Edo States, situated at the frontiers of Igboland, have experienced migration and influences from neighboring Edo and Igala communities. However, it becomes problematic when these migrations are overemphasized at the expense of acknowledging the indigenous people who were present before these migrations occurred.

The Benin and Igala kingdoms were known for their powerful kings and territorial expansion through conquest—something the Igbos historically did not pursue. The River Niger further separated the Igbos of the Southeast from those in Delta and Edo States.

If the Igbos did not conquer the towns in Delta and Edo States, and if they were geographically distant, separated by the largest river in West Africa, it is difficult to explain the dominance of Igbo language, names, traditions, and practices in present-day Delta and Edo States.

While the exact events of 500 years ago are unclear, certain logical conclusions can be drawn:

1. Language typically does not change fundamentally except through conquest or other forceful means.

2. The adoption of the Igbo four market days—Eke, Orie, Afọ, and Nkwọ—across Delta and Edo Igbo towns could not have occurred without significant indigenous influence.

3. The Igbo obi/obu/diokpa (dị ọkpara) system of leadership could not have been implemented without the pre-existing presence of Igbo people.

4. Eze Chime, said to be a Benin prince, would not have abandoned his language merely by moving some distance from Benin. If he were truly of Benin origin, what happened to traditional Benin names like Ewuare, Eweka, Akenzua, and Esigie?

5. Eze Chime bearing an Igbo name and taking on an Igbo ọzọ title would be illogical if he were of Benin origin.

6. The most plausible explanation is that Eze Chime was an Igbo man who migrated from the Igbo heartland to Benin, possibly due to his reputation as a great medicine man, before eventually settling in present-day Delta State.

7. The same reasoning applies to Akalaka, the progenitor of the Ikwerre people of Rivers State. A Benin prince named Akalaka (meaning “destiny” in Igbo) would not have lost his language, traditions, or practices without significant interaction with an Igbo-majority population.

8. If these men were truly of Benin origin, the only logical reason for their loss of language, traditions, and practices would be that they settled in areas already populated by Igbos. Minorities do not typically dominate majorities without conquest.

9. The Arogbo Ijaws and the Western Apoi tribe of the Ijaw people in Ondo State have not lost their language, names, or traditions despite living in a non-Ijaw region. Similarly, the Dutch who settled in South Africa, the English in the USA, Canada, Australia, and Ireland, and the Yorubas in Brazil have retained their languages and traditions despite migrations. It is therefore unlikely that Benin princes would lose their identity without significant external influence.

In summary, while the Igbos of Delta, Edo, Benue, Rivers, Nsukka, Abakaliki, Arochukwu, and Abiriba may have absorbed migrants from neighboring non-Igbo communities, their fundamentally Igbo language, traditions, names, and religion suggest that these areas were originally Igbo.

This, however, does not imply that individuals cannot choose their preferred identities. For instance, actress Stella Damasus from Delta State mentioned that her family’s surname was originally Ojukwu, but due to oppression during the civil war, they changed it to Damasus.

https://techandbiz.com.ng/2024/08/22/response-to-moses-ochonu-on-the-diverse-origins-of-the-igbos-of-delta-state/
My dear Igbo brothers, leave the Delta Igbos and Igbos in Rivers state alone, let them be, they can choose to join Ghana if that makes them feel fulfilled.

Let's focus squarely on uplifting the Southeast Igbo region to a greater height through pursuit for indigenous development and industrialization that we are known for, and if God permits work to secure Biafra secession from Nigeria so that we can use our developmental strides in Biafra to set example for the whole black race on how black people can evolve and seek for industrial revolution and true nation building.

By the time we achieve these great feats, it is those Igbos outside Southeast that will beg to be reunited with Igbos in Southeast and by that time we or our generation that will be alive by then will give them strict terms and conditions to be reunited or else they should remain wherever they have chosen to be when we were struggling to defeat our common enemies.

I know it hurts to watch your own blood brother deny you and your family bloodline because of past misunderstandings or quarrels, but there is.nothing we can do than to keep correcting them even though they are being misled by Nigeria's crude oil politics played by the Hausa-Fulanis and their Yoruba accomplice undecided

Politics / Re: Simon Ekpa's BRGIE Features In U.S. Security Journal by franchasofficia: 8:22am On Aug 22
Broveens42:
THE NEXT ADMINISTRATION MUST KEEP AN EYE ON NIGERIA

Nigeria is an African giant. Its population of
220 million people is more than that of the two largest African countries—Ethiopia and Egypt—combined. Although Nigeria is no longer among the world’s top ten oil producers, it is still a major OPEC member whose production impacts the global economy.

Nigeria is also on the front line of several security seams. To its north, it faces a persistent Boko Haram terrorist insurgency, while pirates ply its southern waters. Corruption saps its potential and contributes to disillusionment and instability.

In order to distract from their failings, successive Nigerian presidents have exploited Nigeria’s ethnic and sectarian divisions. The problem grew especially bad under President Muhammadu Buhari, president of the country, between 2015 and 2023. Buhari was no stranger to ethnic and religious discord. As a young military officer in the late 1960s, Buhari was at the vanguard of the forces that perpetrated genocide against the largely Igbo population in the self-declared Republic of Biafra. After a half-century, his disdain for the country’s Christian and animist Igbo did not diminish. He facilitated the transit of Fulani militiamen to raid and murder the region’s Christians and designated the peaceful representatives of the Biafrans to be terrorists.

Alas, he found a friend in Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the Biden administration who argued that the anti-Igbo, anti-Christian violence was the result of migration caused by global warming. This was patently false, however. Climate change does not charter buses to transport death squads. Nevertheless, even as Islamists kidnapped Christian girls, slaughtered Christian men and boys, and burned churches, Blinken removed Nigeria from the religious freedom watch list.

Biafrans, however, are not going to subordinate their faith to support State Department pandering, nor are the Igbo willing to pretend that they feel safe and secure in Nigeria. Between February and May 2024, the Biafra Republic Government in Exile held a referendum to allow Biafrans and their diaspora to declare if they wished to remain part of Nigeria or become an independent country. Thirty million voted, a greater number than those who cast ballots in Nigeria’s most recent presidential elections. Those who cast physical ballots on the Biafra referendum registered in advance and showed voting cards, while those who cast their vote electronically used Google forms to ensure they only voted once. The results are consistent with public opinion surveying.

Biafran leaders suggest they could declare independence as soon as this autumn. Biafrans, it seems, want self-determination. Even if they do not declare independence, however, the Nigerian government’s unwillingness to address ethnic persecution and anti-Christian discrimination cannot continue.

Blinken believed he could sweep persecution under the carpet in the name of diplomacy. He believed that if the State Department refrained from criticizing the Nigerian leadership’s bigotry, Washington and Abuja might enjoy smooth relations. It is impossible to paper over such persecution, however. By refusing to demand that Nigeria treat all its citizens equally and respect their cultural and religious freedom, Blinken and the State Department demonstrated that Biafrans could not work within the system.

Succession is never an easy solution. It often sparks great violence if not civil war. Absent American attention, that could quickly become Nigeria’s future.

A more astute U.S. policy, whether under President Harris or Trump, would acknowledge the reality of decades of Nigerian persecution toward Biafrans, recognize that trust no longer exists, and work toward greater autonomy if not an internationally supervised referendum to confirm the Biafra Republic Government in Exile poll results.

https://nationalsecurityjournal.org/the-next-administration-must-keep-an-eye-on-nigeria
This must sound scary to one Nigeria proponents because it seems Simon Ekpa's lobbying of US lobbyists is paying off gradually as Igbos and Christians persecution in Nigeria seems to be getting the much needed global attention, and should Trump win, it may portray even greater danger for Nigeria, lets watch and see as things unfold with time

I learnt you cannot move one meter in most parts of Lagos state like Ikotun, Isolo, Ejigbo, Satellite town, Festac, Oshodi, Mafoluku, etc without having a flat tyre or damaged car suspension due to completely worn out roads which Lagos state government have refused to maintain or repave except the ones done by Governor Ambode before they ganged up and pushed him away just because Igbos praised his infrastructural achievement in Lagos and supported him.

Why can't Iran embrace peace and focus solely on developing their nation and its citizens?

Why sponsoring terrorist organizations all over Middle East just to target and destroy Israel?

For your information, Iran have a goal to completely destroy Israel and take their land to convert to Shia Muslim holy land where Shia Muslims will be going for their own pilgrimage like Sunni Muslims go to Medina Saudi Arabia, that is why Iran and Saudi Arabia are sworn enemies.

Iran sponsors Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon

Iran sponsors Houthi terrorists in Yemen

Iran sponsors Kata'ib Hizballah (KH), Harakat al-Nujaba, and Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq terror groups in Iraq

So Iran is a big threat to Middle East peace and must be restrained at all cost and if they dare bite more than they can chew, Israel with the support of US will bomb them back to stone age when they were Persians before Muslim land grabbers conquered Iran

Yes Russia was just basking in their past glory. Take nuclear weapon away from Russia, US would have invaded Russia to unseat Putin and free Russians from Putin's grip grin

As we speak, close to 10,000 Russian soldiers, including high ranking military officers are now in captive in Ukraine as prisoners of war and Ukraine will use them as a bargaining power whenever Putin comes back to his senses.

Though Putin Muslim supporters are expecting Putin to level Ukraine's capital Kieve with long range missiles and possible lethal weapons but little did they know that Russia have done all that and most got intercepted ever since US, Germany and France gave Ukraine some of their best missile defense systems, I really love how this war is going so far grin

That is why Russia is supporting Iran openly against Israel to spite US. They want Iran to confront Israel while they also instigate China to annex Taiwan as a way of distracting US from Ukraine, but US is way miles ahead of every other nation on earth and there is nothing anybody can do about this until the set time God has put in place for US power and influence to die down comes.

This is what we have been telling Nigerian war mongers who love using war to threaten Southeast region in Nigeria based on what happened between 1967 to1970 that Nigeria fought civil war with Biafra. War is unpredictable. Who could have believed that Ukraine a nation without a formalized powerful military before 2021 will be able to dare Russia and now taking the battle to Moscow as Ukrainian soldiers now send assault drones into Moscow?

Over 10,000 Russian soldiers are now in captive in Ukraine as prisoners of war, this life de funny grin

Honestly Nigerian corrupt Presidents should learn from this; don't underrate any region or group of armed people today, anything can happen once they get enough foreign support.

A word is enough for the wise.

Well done Ukraine, please you guys need to send more powerful drones to Moscow let some hit targets to send a strong message to Putin so he can embrace peace sooner than later, we need peace in the world but Muslims keep pushing and cheering Putin to doom because of their hatred for US undecided
Foreign Affairs / Re: Putin Kisses The Quran As He Visits Holy Mosque In Chechnya (Video, Photos) by franchasofficia: 4:18am On Aug 22
You see how Putin is making deliberate efforts to reintegrate Chechnya region fully into the Russian federation through reassurance of love and wholehearted acceptance even though Chechnya region have been agitating to completely secede from Russia for decades? This is how a sensible leader or President responds to internal national crises.

But take a look at the failed, corrupt, visionless Nigerian Presidents starting with that pretentious corrupt Fulani man called Buhari to the present Lagos looting machine. All they do is to send mentally unstable Nigerian Jenjeri soldiers to the Southeast to intimidate, harass, malign, torture, dehumanize, maim, kill people and destroy properties in the Southeast region in the name of trying to suppress their agitation to secede from Nigeria. A tactics that has never worked since the 1960s yet these clueless black leaders failed to learn from history.

You can't kill an ideology with military force, especially one that has to do with internal cry of political marginalization and injustice, you will rather cause more harm through the use of military force.

Russia a more powerful nation with all the required military might to crush this Chechnya region agitating for complete secession from Russia have been unable to kill their agitation to completely leave Russia but some clueless corrupt Presidents of a 3rd world country called Nigeria foolishly believes that the only way to stop Igbos from agitating to leave Nigeria is to use military force and their ignorant hate-filled bigot supporters continue to cheer them on foolishly, instead of addressing the issues that Igbos have been complaining about for decades as a way of pacifying them to shelve their quest to leave the failed Nigerian union.

As Russia under Putin have realized that the only way to be at peace with the Chechnya region is to embrace peace, reassure them of Russian people's absolute love and care, I believe a sensible President that would do same in Nigeria is coming cool

God bless Professor Yemi Osinbajo that applied absolute wisdom in handling this issue in Nigeria when he acted as President when Buhari traveled abroad for medical treatment during their regime.

Well done Putin

How to Positively Curb Healthcare Workers Migration in Nigeria

1.) First, government must make a serious effort to improve healthcare workers remuneration, allowances and work conditions.

Make it compulsory to pay every graduate nurse in Nigeria a minimum starting salary of NGN400,000, Doctors NGN800,000, and create a special salary structure for healthcare workers just as we have for NNPC, CBN, NIMASA, FIRS, etc, create a highly rewarding healthcare workers salary scheme for Nigerian healthcare workers.

Clamp down on private hospitals to also implement a special salary structure for healthcare workers in Nigeria, even if it's not up to what the government is paying, let it be at least 50%, and also clamp down on use of quack nurses and doctors by private hospitals in Nigeria. Let every healthcare profession regulatory body sit up and have an enforcement team that will be visiting hospitals unannounced on weekly basis to inspect and verify their nurses, doctors, etc to ensure they are fully licensed nurses and doctors.

2.) increase funding to nursing schools and colleges of nursing all over Nigeria and also increase their admission quota to like 200% so that Nigeria can start producing more than enough nurses that will serve Nigeria comfortably and still have excess to export to countries that need them without complain so that Nigeria can be removed from red listed countries by the World Health Organization.

3.) Increase the tuition fee for nursing and medical related courses to make nursing schools and college of medicine self reliant with less funding from government.

4.) increase verification fee for nurses

CyrusVI:
Nigerian Govt is just tryna protect the masses

The Mortality rate is high already and a quarterly exodus of Nurses will only raise it higher up

Govt should dialogue with them and try to meet their needs
Now let's analyze this policy to bring our the negative and positive sides of it, follow me.

The Positive Side of This Draconian Policy of Shutting Down Nurses Verification Portal

According to Nigerian federal government, they are trying to curb brain drain in the healthcare sector, so their best approach was to start with Nurses by shutting down their verification portal so as to prevent Nigerian Nurses from migrating abroad to work or traveling abroad to further their nursing education.

According to people that believe in this thoughtless policy, it will help retain Nigerian Nurses who they said got their nursing education subsidized by the Nigerian government since if NMCN don't verify their license, they cannot practice outside Nigeria.

To them, it will help Nigeria have more than enough capable nurses to manage Nigeria's hospitals.

The Negative Implication of This Draconian Policy of Shutting Down Nurses Verification Portal

What this means is that you are intentionally holding Nigerian nurses on hostage to remain in Nigeria in order to render healthcare services to Nigerians that fall ill. This also means that Nigerian nurses who have made up their mind to migrate abroad to work to better their lives and that of their suffering family members in Nigeria will become unhappy with their nursing jobs in Nigeria and will never give their best. They will be transferring their frustration to patients that visit their healthcare facilities and this will soon lead to poor care service deliveries in our hospitals as nurses will be working without passion and dedication because they are working under psychological and emotional trauma and frustration. This will even lead to deterioration and collapse of our health sector.

These ill-informed old men and women in position of authority in Nigeria are unknowingly destroying the future of Nigerian youths because this healthcare professionals migration have really helped a lot of Nigerian families and youths as these nurses migrate abroad to earn more money, grow their career, fly the image of Nigeria positively abroad and still remit back huge FOREX to Nigeria that help to sustain our struggling economy.

This nurses migration also help to create more opportunities for nurses in Nigeria because Nigeria's healthcare system have not been able to employ the nurses we already have in Nigeria plus the thousands graduating yearly from various Nursing schools and Colleges of Nursing all over Nigeria, if this nurses migration is closed, it will have a devastating effect on Nigeria's healthcare sector sooner than later because Nigeria cannot employ the number of nurses we produce and this will further worsen the rate of graduate unemployment and underemployment in Nigeria and in turn push more Nigerian youths to the poverty den with time.

What then is the best way forward?

In a senseless effort to curb healthcare workers migration abroad in Nigeria, the Ministry of Health through the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) have implemented the most draconian policy in the history of mankind.

What makes this shameful is how foreign countries have been commenting on this issue which further reduces Nigeria's integrity and government perception in the international scene as they shudder at the absolute disregard for human right plus complete disrespect of Nigeria's lawmaking government arm; the National Assembly by a mere government ministry and parastatal.

How can a mere Minister and Secretary of a tiny government body that overseas Nursing practice disobey the 3rd arm of a country's government without any consequences? This further tells how the APC led regime have destroyed respect for rule of law and order in Nigeria cry

How Nigeria's Ministry of Health & NMCN Are Destroying Destinies of Nigerian Nurses

Nigeria’s Ministry Of Health, Nursing Council (NMCN) Disobeyed National Assembly’s Directive To Reopen Licence Verification Portal for Nigerian Nurses out of jealousy and thoughtless policies.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), under the Federal Ministry of Health, has declined to comply with the National Assembly's directive to reopen its portal and resume verification of nurses and midwives in accordance with its previous guidelines, effectively ignoring the legislative body's instruction.

SaharaReporters reported earlier that the suspension of license verification services by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) has resulted in the rejection of Nigerian nurses' applications to work abroad.
