Travel / Re: Which Language Is The Easiest To Learn? by FrenchXpert(f): 2:20pm On Oct 26, 2021
You can only make comparison based on which language is closest to your original language. No language is easy to learn. None. Especially international languages where you have to learn structures for literacy purpose. A Korean will say Chinese is the easiest language to learn and a Spanish will say Italian.

The closest languages to English are Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and French only that they all have gender.

Among these closely related languages German and Dutch for me is easiest because of the lack of strong accent and the easy pronunciation. Then of course Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Easy pronunciation patterns, and even with the heavy accent of these languages once you've gotten the rhythm then you are good to go. French comes in last solely because of the heavy syntax in the language and you do not pronounce half the words written so they end up sounding the same, then there's a lot of merging of words.

But what to keep in mind is, It's not impossible to learn any international language, just time and effort is required.

Campus France is an organization set up by the French government to aid students through their France study application. They are available in over 150 countries across the world. Here in Nigeria, there are two Campus France offices, in Abuja and Lagos. Very pertinent to note is that you MUST pass through Campus France for any study application to France. They take care of all processes from admission down to obtaining your visa.

Etudes en France: This is an online portal connected to Campus France where you create an account and have your personal dashboard for all online processes. Campus France is the physical organization; Etudes-en-France is their online platform.

The entrance for 2022 began in October and closes 31st December, 2021. Within this period, you make your application to the universities through the portal. A few years back, you could apply directly to schools, now, only a handful of schools permit you to apply directly to their school portal. Applications on school portals are solely reserved for French Nationals and European students.

A great usefulness of Campus France is that they afford you the chance to apply to up to 7 universities with just one application. This increases your chance of being admitted to at least one. They however charge an administration fee of N50,000.

If you managed to get an admission directly from a school, you will have to manually connect your admission to Campus France and pay the same administration fee.

I decided to open a thread for France. There is hardly any information for studying in France for Nigerians even when it's one of the cheapest, easiest and most straight forward process among developed countries. If you have any questions or concerns, drop them I will be answering all your questions. I will do my best to include the most necessary information as the thread goes on.

First things first, the application window to apply for admission to French Universities started 1st of October and will be closing 31st of December.

Update: Application on the portal now closes 15th December.
