Rip to the dead.

Those oil workers must have undergone survival at sea and also helicopter under water excape training (SAS and HUET). The oil company should be held responsible for not giving their workers the minimum required training before sending the offshore.

Also the helicopter company RT brisco will also pay for not checking for the HUET passes of all passengers and also not providing them with life jackets.

Yes, I agree with you. It's obvious all the necessary checks weren't in place. Another tragic aftermath of the rot in the Nigerian system. I'm sure if they all had life jackets, they would have jumped into the ocean and probably would have been alive. May their souls RIP. I pray those in the hospital survive as well.

Catholic with two wives is ok...please o catholicism is Christianity and in the bible it says a man will leave his parents and be joined with his wife...not wives. So because women are now more than men, they should be changing women like clothes. Na wa for your kinda mentality... i'm sure if your sister was Kachukwu's first wife, you go dey swaer swear for the guy #smh#
Politics / Re: Buhari To Split NNPC Into Two…plans Fresh Bid Round For Oil Blocks by Fresh38: 3:56pm On Jul 25, 2015
I really love the fact that Nigeria is now a fully democratic system. Current ruling party(APC) vs Strongest Opposition(PDP). Three months ago, it was the other way round. Every regime has an agenda. Jonathan had an agenda whether good or bad but wrecked Nigeria. Every incumbent President always has a bad name but in all honesty, I don't see Buhari like that. Can anyone clear the mess of 16years in a tap of your fingers? No way! If he has decided to split nnpc into two so that there will be transparency in revenue accountability..fine. If he decides to sell oil blocks and will be transparent in the process, we'll all see with our eyes now. Some people don't just like good things o. Someone is still praying for PDP to come back. I'm sure you benefited so much from Jonathan's regime. It's just like saying Abacha should come back into power. If you're not one of the looters, you should support buhari's transformation agenda because PDP will never return. It's like you're not seeing God's hand yet. It's the dawn of a brand new Nigeria. Please don't pull us backwards.

Do you have any 450-500 sqm plots for sale? Where is the access road to the location or will I say access roads?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Monthly Net Salary Of Federal Government Ministries, departaments, Agencies And P by Fresh38: 1:12pm On Jul 23, 2015
This disparity in the entire public service salary scale is too much. We all know essential service workers like electricity workers, health workers, teachers etc across the world have higher salaries but what's with the revenue generating bodies? I don't get it! The money is meant for the government to share across the three tiers not for the workers to get juicy packages...there's something terribly wrong with the computation system because we all go to the same market and buy at the same prices. I think the national salaries and wages commission and revenue mobilisation and fiscal allocation commission should use a contemporary and standard formula to calculate wages instead of the unrealistic model they use presently which doesn't conform with today's economy. Civil servants in ministries have turned to beggars o...no allowance of any form whatsoever. if you think you don't need their services, why employ them and punish them with miserable salaries. A graduate earning about $200 dollars a month..its really pathetic! PMB do something o..abeg! Civil servants are dying of hunger and poverty!

oduastates:
Good riddance to bad rubbish .
This is how they recycle jagbajantis in this country.
None of these men has ever ran an international standard corporate organisation in his life.
Yet a list of useless ex-presidents continuously saddle the country with incompetent and hopelessly useless appointees.

Enough of federal character.
The government must cast her net beyond Nigeria.
I have come to realise that the problem with all ministries ,parastatals and agencies of government is the lack of competent managers.
The dangotes and adenugas recognise this fact and this is why, they stack managerial positions in their groups with foreign managers or at least, Nigerians who have demonstrated verifiable excellence in a formal corporate setting.
No wonder they keep getting wealthier by the day.
Garbage all over.
Nigerians resident abroad can attest to this .
I have seen school principals who are more competent and knowledgeable to run departments of government than most of the appointees and civil servants.
Hopefully, buhari will look beyond Nigeria. There are former managers and CEOS of big oil firms who can be appointed to man all key managerial positions and Leaving only positions where Nigerians cannot cause damage to Nigeria.
After 30 years , no one needs further proof that Nigerians are incapable of running anything beyond a provision store .

N:B the arrival hall ( immigration post) of the murtala Muhammad airport is a national disgrace . The place stinks to high heaven with missing ceiling tiles and exposed wirings all over.
It would have been better to put a desk outside under a tree
What about staff lounging lazily with legs on chair in front of visitors . Such attitudes shows a complete lack of accountability.
Give me that airport to manage and my first action would be to fire every single manager or at least demand that they be transferred to the ministry of special duties.

Hopefully

I beg your pardon @ ooduastates or whatever you call yourself. As much as we all know there is freedom of expression, please mind your language. I simply classify you as a very unpatriotic Nigerian who does not believe in his/her country. Dunno if you're a he or a she but we are tired of the imported gibberish you call seasoned technocrats. Now what did the likes of Arumah Oteh, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala etc that all came from abroad do to our system? Probably you've never travelled abroad and see how most of them who come back to 9ja to do big boys and girls languish over there. Then they come back here and spit in our faces and you call that seasoned managers; they loot our treasury dry and you call that technocratism! Seriously, you need to believe in your people. Regardless of whatever state we've found ourselves because of our leaders' greed, the system isn't completely dead. We still have very good hands in the government sector. We just need the right mechanisms for them to function properly. Mind you, the private sector is different from the public sector...probably you're a novice. the private sector is majorly profit-oriented so they can afford to import or employ foreigners to make their money quickly. The public sector is policy making not profit making. So we don't need foreigners to come and make policies for us in our own country. We know our system, we know the mechanisms that might probably work for us. Even if we try to copy, we have to modify it to fit into our system. So sorry uuhhhnnn, the Nigerian public sector doesn't need foreigners....theyve never worked for us....they don't understand the complicity of the Nigerian system....love your country omo Yourba.....gbam!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: NERC Recruitment: What's the update? by Fresh38: 7:22pm On Nov 20, 2014
Well, I think the naija factor always take place in every recruitment process...even in the private sector. I also think that some people were already recruited for some positions we wrote exams for. They've to follow the camouflaged 'due process' according to 'federal character commission' laid down rules. All these are just programmed. I did not hear anyone saying they were called for interview for the position and written exam I did. So it's very likely that such positions were already filled before the recruitment process commenced especially if they're not so technical in nature. For those that did the interview, I would encourage you to still be hopeful. Who knows....you might get the job. There's always room for exceptional candidates in recruitment processes like this. Just be hopeful and pray hard.

It would be ok if you transferred money from one account to the other as both accounts are yours: just ensure that you provide evidence of such transaction and that the the origins of the funds are comprehensive.

Ok Justwise, thanks a lot.

Actually, current account is preferred.
Anyway, what matters now is the accessibility to the fund: is the money in the account readily accessible or there is a clause that regulates the withdrawals?
But the questions that you are asking are the same questions that are answered in your previous post.

Ok...I just went through the thread again. you've answered most of the questions. I can make deposits and withdraw from the account anytime. I actually have a current account in the same bank but I guess it's kind of complex transferring money into the current account. It would makes things complex and make me sound desperate...what do you think?

You are probably right, I might have been having a bad mood due to earlier developments. so, given the benefit of doubts, I like to believe that you did not intend to attack me with that post.
By the way, I like to advice you to NEVER refer to your Husband as a PARTNER, every westerner will misunderstand you to be a gay person in homosexual relationship: SPOUSE is the appropriate word

Ok JustWise,
I understand you perfectly. Guess I used the wrong word. But you were just too harsh with in your response. No problem anyway. So back to the initial post about monthly salary. I said my monthly salary is about 90k. All savings are in a personal savings account. I made the savings over a stipulated period in excess of the 6months required. I hope that wouldn't be an issue. There are no lumps deposits in my accounts. The only deposits are those I told you my husband did and they're not in excess of 100k. My spouse also has a registered company with tax payments. I don't know if his documents are very necessary for this application. I'm just asking. I'm going to include the documents for the properties bought in my name. I don't know if I need a letter from my dad/mom stating that they did the purchase in my name. And please let me know any other thing I really need to be very careful with. Thank you.

Hum, another woman taking on me again. Perhaps I need to make a reconsideration.
Did you say these of your own accord or you were motivated by other posts that attacked me?
It is you who should be cautioned for the way that you use the English language, you need to avoid applying words that you do not know the meaning of: you did not refer to your Husband as your Spous, rather, you call him your PARTNER, that word is used for gay couples.
Besides, you did not state that you reside in Nigeria, you gave the impression that you are in a civil partnership certified by a country that practices such law, hence you are not able to get a replacement of your lost civil partnership certificate: what normal wife is there that calls her husband a PARTNER?
Enough of all these nonsense.

Ok Justwise,
Don't start the unnecessary here. My comments are as polite as possible. Probably you're not in a good mood at this time....and heeeyy....i don't need you calling me 'abnormal' cos I called my husband my partner. I can call him whatever pleases me or him. Please don't say anything nasty anymore. I dunno you and you don't know me. I'm only here to ask for advice or clarity on some issues. Take it easy on yourself man.... and I'm not acting on whatever anyone had said earlier about you. I posted my last comments independently. Amazingly, I just got to this thread the first time ever yesterday and I can see there are 232 pages on it. Please tell me what time I've to start reading peoples' comments in less than 24hours. We all have our independent issues and I'm acting on my own. Na wa o....

What makes it difficult for you to get a replacement of your marriage certificate?
Without prejudice, allow me to ask whether you are a gay man in hοmοsexual marriage (partnership)... are you?
As for the question regarding documents, you do not need any document from your partner if he is not taking sponsorship role.
As for your N1m savings, this will depend on how the money was built up and how convenient it is for you to fend for such trip without feeling the weight...
The N100k that you got from your partner would not be considered as money lodgements if it doesn't make a significant part of the fund available...
It is not a problem if you do not frequently withdraw money from the (current) account, it will only be a problem if the reason is because the money in the account can not be withdrawn...
The properties that your parents bought for you will be significant especially if they are not isolated land or building that are not deemed to be taking more of your responsibilities: it is different if you own (let's say) business property that requires your obligatory management;

Hello justwise,
I'm a 'she' and not a 'he' please.....a woman married to a man under the laws governing the federal republic of nigeria. As much as I appreciate you helping people out on issues regarding visa applications, I think you need to take a bit of caution with the kind of questions you ask on this forum. I'm very sure there are no gay marriages in Nigeria for now.
With regards to monthly income...its about 90k. The said account isn't a current account. I've built up deposits in it for a period longer than 6months although what is required is 6months. I do not have large sums of money deposited into that account. I have salaries paid into the account for the stipulated period. As for the marriage certificate, I'll try and see if I can get a new one. Not sure of how possible that is especially within the time frame I've to do the application and submission of supporting documents. But since you said I can use the certified true copy, do I still need a new replacement? Thanks for your assistance so far.

Yes I did. The passport is expired though and none of the visas are still valid.

Hello JustWise,
Please I need your advice on my first UK Visa application process. I've about four other visas from three different countries on my old passport. I just did a renewal this year. I'm actually going for my graduation programme in december. I did the course online. I've read articles on supporting documents but I want to know if my marriage certificate can be replaced with a certified true copy because I can't find the original one. Then my partner is self-employed. He has his own company. I don't know all the documents I need to get from him to act as supporting documents to my application. He's not going with me on the said trip. I also want to know if my savings a little over N1m will be okay for this application. I'm just staying for ten days. My savings are basically my salaries in months and deposits less than 100k from my partner. Are they classified as lump sums? I've not done any withdrawal from the said account in 6months. Is that okay for financial statement? I also have properties bought in my name by my parents. Can I tender the documents?? I'm not comfy with that because I work in the public sector although the properties were bought by my parent. Do I also need a consent letter attached to the certified true copy if I can use a certified true copy of my marriage certificate? I did the certified true copy some days ago. I don't know if that's sufficient for this application. I hope to hear from you in this regard. Thank you.
