Romance / Re: (must Read) Rape Is Never A Good Thing by Futurejoy(f): 3:12pm On Jun 06, 2020
hazard7:
It is so funny when people talk about rape(especially on nairaland) like they know better. I am like dude wtf are you talking about. Rape is a vile crime that should be punished by death not on only just men but women also. Yes women get raped often by men(your opinion) but could you tell me what do we do about men that get raped by "women"?
STEOREOTYPING
I have seen the threads of the likes of Badboibipo,missimelda09 and the likes about why are all men rapists. I have to say they asked a valid question but. They are stereotyping for cheap likes and shares. I don't support their whole generalization but let's ask ourselves(we men) that question. Why are "all men" rapist?
ANS: All men can not be rapist because that means your grandfather, father, brother and males from your family tree are rapists. Its as simple as that,am not trying to knock anyone down but that was what you are trying to say. Yes some men rape, doesn't mean all men. Making that statement its like a white man saying all blacks are drug dealers or all nigerian males are fraudsters. Is it really true? Tell me is......... It.......... Really.......... True?(Your opinion)
THE INJUSTICE
Why is it that if a man is raped and if he reports it he is shamed with answers like(did you not enjoy it?). Seriously could people be more retarded? Like dude, cause I don't have a vagina means I can't be forced against my will to have sex? Or cause my John Thomas(dick) raise up when am romanced means I consented to sex but if a lady is wet and achieves orgasms during rape means she is raped and am not? Right I forgot we are only humans after all, always seeing your side but can't even check my side of the story to see the "other side of the moon". I dig that.
Its a fact that women get raped more times than men(don't know how true is that cause I sure know male rapes are not that acknowledged) we (think) know that but the truth is we don't. Our society is bleeped up, government is bleeped up,our judicial system is bleeped up, the world is bleeped up and sorry to say,we the people are more bleeped up. Just tell me why if a female is raped by a male is a crime and the vice versa is not(just tell me). Men are raped day in day out nobody is saying anything and you are expecting the same men to show sympathy to a lady that just got rape. Sorry baby doll but no one gives a bleep about your "so called" trauma. Let me fill you in on this short story.
I was raped at the age of 7 by my mother's friend. My mom sent me a message to her and when I got there, I knocked on the door and she opened the door. She told me to sit down and offered me juice not knowing it had sleeping pills(mind you, this is a woman who is divorced with three kids and youngest happens to my close friend). I drank the juice without question and two hours later found myself naked. I felt weak and asked her what happened that I am naked, she said that I was the one that took off my clothes by myself while sleeping(like are you fucking kidding me,lady). I delivered my message and went home. I know you are wondering how do I know that she raped me? We almost close. To cut the long story short.......
On September 20,2000 I was coming back from school when I was called by that same woman to come and help her to buy 5 bottles of coke. I obliged thinking I was a good boy not know that what will happen on that day will forever leave "scars" that will haunt me for years to come.
I brought the bottles of coke for her since she was staying outside but she said I should take it inside which I did. I entered and found four other older women. As I was dropping the bottles, I saw her locking the door and putting the key inside her clothes. I didn't initially see the red flag, when I was done,I walked up to her and told her I was leaving and she looked me eyeballs to eyeballs and said I was going nowhere. On cue the other women in the room grappled me to the floor and that was how it started........
I was beaten with belt in order as I was told by my assailants to "remove the spirit of defiance in me" then I was forced to give "head" to each of the lady there including my supposed mother's friend. Then I was romanced all over in other to get an erection which it didn't work. They decided to inject me with drugs,I got a full erection and the rest they say is history.
MY SINCERE OPINION
Some people will believe, some will diss me that didn't I enjoy it since I got an erection, some will even mock me and say am a liar but its all your opinion, you entitled to what ever you want to say but don't come here to say "all men are rapist" that what you are reading now doesn't justify anything. Yep hon,it might be true or not. More men are raped but nobody listen to our plight because we are men,we are supposed to be strong,we can never be raped because we are men. Well I was,I still remember what those drugs injected in me have cost me both emotionally and financially. I have every right to be angry but am not because that's just LIFE. Not all men are rapist, the same way not all women are whores, the same way rape is not female based. It is just what it is.
To all those genuine rape victims(both male and female). It is tough at first but you need to move on,I know it feels like the end of the world but trust me when I say there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Yes grief, but don't let it pin you down, they(rapist) won you physically but don't let them win you emotionally.
Don't think you can't start life again, you can and you SHOULD. Look at the likes of Oprah Winfrey,if she can do it so can you. Those of you who are looking for someone to talk to,you can always dm me and I will do my possible best to help. Let's say
#No to rape
#No means No
#Justice for rape victims
I can’t doubt your story cos there is a guy I know of that was raped by his mum friend’s daughter that was close to her 30’s when this guy was barely 17. This guy went through serious trauma that really affected his relationships. It’s crazy that people don’t believe that guys get raped.

Family / Re: My Husband Wants To Know Everything About My Finances. by Futurejoy(f): 1:15pm On Jun 06, 2020
UzorChinonso:
Good day Nairalanders, I have been married for just a year now and it has not been easy here! My Husband wants to know every thing about my finance. He has disturbed me to know how much is my salary worth of.

I have always denied him of the fact, what I know is that I used my money to refurbish our flat, got some new things to change the outlook of the place....

But I am not really finding it funny any longer. As we speak, he collected my ATM card since last two weeks, said I must tell him the pin or I should forget having it back. I went to my bank, told them that I lost the card and they changed it for me last Friday and he collected it again said it's either I tell him the pin or he will do something funny ...

I don't know what funny thing he's gonna do but I am worried! Pls is this how marriage is?
He claims to own me and own my salary! Is it fair? This marriage is too early instead I would have quit and I am pregnant at the moment!
What do I do? I don't want anybody to know anything about my finances including him till I have my baby whom my spirit accepted that I should make my next of kin.

What do I do ?
To be honest, your husband has a right to know your finance but since he made the statement that he owns you, then there is more to him. He is probably there for your money. Is your husband working? Does he earn better or lesser than you? If you can answer this , I can be able to help you.

Romance / Re: My Near Rape Experiences by Futurejoy(f): 11:14pm On Jun 05, 2020
BosyBabe:
Good day, after going through a lot of back and forth within myself I finally decided to put my story out there. This is not in a bid to garner sympathy but in the hope that my story could help someone get out of a similar situation.

Growing up as a young lady in Nigeria is quite difficult especially one who receives a lot of male attention. I experienced a lot of abuse while growing up. I was beaten, fingered, molested and harassed as early as age 4. At a point I tried to speak up but I wasnt believed so I became accustomed to it and didnt bother to mention it again.

My first near-rape experience occurred at age 16. The perpetrator was a coursemate who happened to like me and had been asking me out for a couple of months. Despite my continually rejecting him, he was persistent. At a point he started stalking me, then calling me with strange numbers and calling at odd hours like 1 or 2am. I just overlooked it all and felt he would get tired at some point.

The day that the incident occurred I was going to school at around 5pm to study for a test. On my way, I noticed the guy following me. He than came up to me and asked for me to hear him out but i refused. We kept arguing for about 3 hours on the road, I kept trying to get away but he wouldn't let me, I even tried to get the attention of a few passersby but no one bothered to help (they probably thought it was a lovers quarrel). At a point I began crying and begging him to let me go but he refused.

A friend of his saw us and came up to us and asked me to just hear the guy out. I finally agreed because I was so exhausted and drained. They both suggested that I and the guy go and talk in his friends room which was just across the road. I agreed and we went in, I sat on the bed and listened. This guy proceeded to kneel and beg me to date him, I agreed just so he would let me be.

The next thing I knew was that he had jumped on me and started groping me. I struggled, cried and pleaded with him but he didnt stop. He went on to rip my trousers open and pull off my panties. I struggled furiously and even tried to screamed but that earned me some dirty slaps. I felt defeated. All I could think of was how much I hated the helplessness I felt which was so similar to what I felt as a child.

Suddenly, a thought popped into my head about a rape survival story I had seen a while back, I decided to try it out. I stopped struggling and just acted calm, I guess he took that as good sign and stopped hitting me. He held my two hands with his one hand and used the other to pull down his trouser. He then began to rub himself on me, I prayed and made a split second decision. I pulled my knee up and hit him in the balls as hard as I could before he could recover I pushed him off, jumped up and began to scream as loud as I could, I carried a standing fan which was close by and smashed every single thing I could in the room. People came rushing in and that's how I was saved. It was so crazy that a guy had to help me with something to cover up because I didn't even realize that I was naked from the waist down.

A few years later, I had my second near-rape encounter. One night while going to the hostel after seeing a friend, I was accosted by a security personnel. He claimed that I was out too late and he would have to take me to the security office, I was surprised because that was around 9pm and there were still other people around so I argued with him, a colleague of his intervened and insisted that I follow them to the security office.

I agreed to go but I kept my distance from them. While walking, the security officer suddenly pushed me into a dark corner, pressed himself against me and began to tell me all the things he was going to do to me for arguing with him. I began to struggle and cry, I couldn't believe this was happening again. He tore my gown open and then my panties. When I tried to cover myself, he slammed my head and hands against the wall with such force that my wristwatch broke.

Once again faced with a situation I felt helpless to do anything about, I calmed myself down and said a silent prayer. I then began to pet him. I told him I wanted this too but it was all to sudden, he didnt listen to me at first but went on to pull down his trousers he then tried to penetrate me but i kept begging him that we should please hold off a bit

Eventually, he listened and said I was right because he doesnt trust uni girls so it would be best for him to use a condom considering that hes a family man. He held me and kept running his hands all over my body and told me that he wants me so much and I should promise that I would come see him the next day when he calls me. He even threatened to harm me if I didn't do as I promised. I did as he asked, gave him my number, promised to be back and ran as fast as my legs could take me.

The next day, with the support of friends I went to the school authorities, reported and he was subsequently sacked.

Despite years of abuse, these two events helped me see that I didnt have to always be a victim but that I can also be a victor. I was not as helpless as I thought.

The major point I would like to point out from my story is that aggression is not always the best option, often at times we can fight these rapists by being calm and rational. I went on to watch rape survival stories and realized that so many rape survivors avoid being raped, killed or further harmed by trying to reason with their attackers.

Also, allowing an attacker feel that he is in control can give one the opportunity to take him unawares and take back control. Being angry, fighting back, insulting him or threatening to expose him when the opportunity comes can just lead to more violence or him even going as far as trying to shut you up permanently.
I made a post on this topic too, this is quite a co-incidence but I pray ladies learn from it.The guy that tried to rape me held my hands with one hand and tried to use the other hand to defile me. Aggression didn’t work cos I was already weak but when I stopped struggling, I was able to think and start asking him questions
that later led to me shouting. Ladies need to be careful, this world is filled with a lot of rapist especially in Nigeria. After that experience I had, I battled with committing suicide that I had to run to the school chapel to meet with one pastor, I told him of how I was molested and raped while growing up and how I just escaped a near rape. The pastor told me a lot of girls that has come for counseling had been raped from childhood, he even spoke of a girl that her father raped ...,,I was speechless

umtitibaba:
In life, there are moments we are faced with difficult situations with the sole aim of surviving hoping there will be light at the end of such circumstance..

Mine: it happened when I was I part 2 second semester, it was close to end of semester and there was no cash on me, no gas in my cylinder and I had to eat that night .... i had to Cook 'Eba' with normal water, ate with Palm oil sprinkled with salt.. imo that night bad gaaan....

So over to you guys, what Is the weirdest thing u have done to survive?
In my year 1, I had about N500 with me, my last card, no allowance yet, no helper...die hard broke. I just arrange myself and stepped out of the hostel, I saw a woman selling avocado pears at a very affordable price and I bought N200, bought garri N100 and sachet water . I had N200 left Incase of emergency pending when my allowance will come towards the next weekend. Ladies and gentlemen, I drank garri and pear for like 3 days until one of my roommates came and collected the spoon from me to taste the combo and was like “ why do you like this pear and garri so much, let me taste it”.....I just smiled weirdly and said I loved it cos it was my favorite (favorite bawo? Me that hunger want to kill).Later that day I just took my card and went to the ATM to check if I would see any money, low and behold, 12k was in my account (the first cut of my allowance). I was happy so I called my dad to thank him and ask when he sent the money, he said he sent it days ago but didn’t bother to call me...I was speechless. I just ran to buy chicken and plaintain, to replenish the lost nutrients in my body.
Another one was when I went for Saturday fixed class by one old “wicked “professor in my 300l . After 3 hours lecture he gave us 1 hour to go out for lunch, everybody went out and I was the only one in class with him. He later noticed me and called me, he asked me why i didn’t go out. I told him I had nothing on me to eat so what was the essence of going out. He asked what I wanted to eat and how much it would cost, I told him N300, this man removed N1000 to give to me but told me to bring back his change on N500 . I told him ok, I left and went to eat, on my way back to class I heard he had dismissed the class so I went to his office to give him the balance. I saw him outside and he said he wanted to see if I was a sincere person, he told me to keep the balance and that was it. I stopped seeing him as a wicked lecturer from that day.

Same thing i always, ignore and overlook..no calls no chats infact i delete everything about my ex ....i was surprise to see her call earlier this year..after 5 years telling me she wish me unfruitful marriage with my wife..that i wil never enjoy any woman except her that she loved me so much that i will come back to her that she is d only one made for me...imagine after 5 years...i taught she would hav been married by now..because of the way she carries herself then...i never altered a word while she was ranting..i only allowed her finish .then i replied thank you..takia...put off the call and blocked d number again...why hasnt she gotten over me?
You don’t need to bother about why she hasn’t gotten over you, you should be grateful that you didn’t marry a bitter person

I lost a Caucasian too in February, she died of pavro. You should have fumigate the cage and sterilize your previous dog care tools plus most importantly take the new dog to the vet to get injections against pavro.

Where should I start from...ok, let me go straight the point where she needs help...towards the end of March 2015..in one of the 25th,26th,or 27th sha one of this days...she and her friends went clubbing, then she was still in the university so she met a fair tall guy, handsome and have a big head kinda according to her description, who came to the club with police escorts at G.R.A ,Port harcourt,so according to her she was just catching her fun and kinda naive so he convinced her to go with him to his hotel room at "The Edge hotel"she didnt want to go, her friendz advised her not to but the guy was fine and had all the sweet talks so she joined him to his hotel room that night, her other friends were telling her not to go with him but she was love struck ..she followed him,...he made love to her raw, released inside of her,she was a virgin!,but she didnt bleed, and according to her the guy made "a statement that she's gonna be pregnant ",she asked him if he was HIV positive, he said no and after she put to birth, she ran HIV test, she was negative, ...he said he is from a well to do family and they are in abuja, and if his mum get's to know he got a girl pregnant ,she will kill him,he just slept with her only one round...in the morning he was in a hurry to meet up with something and left, but told her he was coming back.so she kept calling his line to be in touch, he gave her number to another guy,to give her t.p to go home, and the guy was saying she should come outside the hotel to take it,and she was like no she cant, she doesnt know him but his friend..she didnt meet his friend though,..
The guy she slept with told her go down the dinning in the hotel and eat something, she went, she finished eating ,he then came later, met her upstairs(in the room),then her friend came with one of her dress for a change of cloth, and they all left ,he told her he will get in touch and they talked for a while on WhatsApp before she lost her phone and lost contact to him and she didnt tell him she was pregnant...she carried his child and birth the child..the baby girl will be 5 years this year..fair like him, tall like him and looks like him...I pray the guy can remember and get to me,to get to her.their one night stand..has begotten a beautiful baby girl...she just want him to know he has a daughter and the daughter know her father...
I went into intrinsic details as told so the guy(I pray he sees this)could remember the scene and come for his daughter....

PS:keep your negative talks and tantrums to yourself..she is doing well for herself ,she just want the father to meet his daughter...Thank you.

Here is the main reason why people like you get confused, why asking him how much he earns? Do you mean God is responsible if you earn more than him ? That's not even to say you earn more than him cos this is a faceless forum, you can decide to claim anything. Are you saying Bill Gates or Dangote is rich because they share the same religious doctrine with you? . OK tell me Christiano Ronaldo or Neyma is that rich because they believe in what you believe in ? You are seriously a joke. Being rich a factor of how smart, hardworking, resilient and most importantly lucky . You must be very funny to think giving your money to one GO to buy private jet will in turn makes you rich . Let me even burst your bubble most of billions and donations most of these GOs gets are from our corrupt politicians. After looting away the future of generations to come , they will now donate a fraction to churches and Mosques believing even if there life after death , there is something positive God can record for them, your pastors takes the money without questioning the source .You better wake up and stop believing these scammers
When I asked how much do you earn, I meant “what are you doing with your life”? Cos the people you are hating on are doing well in their business. So go and get a life and stop being jealous

Jehovah witness do not believe in Hell Fire yet they are the most peaceful people on earth. They don't fight war, they don't do politics neither do they vote, they don't carry guns. You can not find a witness in a worldly seen. While those who believe in HELL FIRE are killing daily with guns, doing all sort of evil to make money. Though they are not perfect! But I score them 95% when it comes to moral behaviour.

Hate them, love them they speak truth to religion, they don't deviate from biblical facts, most of their end time message are what we see happening yearly while other churches preaches prosperity with ears twirling, fake miracle.. They teach their children from infancy.

Prove me wrong: They are the most united in the world. No racism and they love themselves. They have passed through more temptation that any other religion on earth. They refused to fight in the 2nd World War despite the pressure, World powers was not able to stop them from progressing. They have educated people more compared to other religion through Awake and Watchtower etc.
I'm ready to prove it. I liken them to the Noah of our generation because majority failed to believe them despite all evidence provided in the Bible.
They don’t vote abi, I see that they are the main problem of Nigeria.

Is God against Blood transfusion? I am only asking to know more.
If my parents were to be JW that means I won’t be alive till today. My dad has donated blood on two different occasions when I was standing face to face with death because I was low on blood. A lot of people will die because of religion and when they get to heavens gate, they will be told that they weren’t expected....I blame the white men that brought Christianity to Africa in a different slate.

We Africans are gullible. All these stupid policies can never happen in any European or Arabian countries. That country would hv been brought to halt. The citizens of those countries don't joke with their welfare.
I tell you. It’s very ridiculous
