Here's an update of a teacher's brutality on my nephew.

My nephew woke up with dark swollen lips covered with bruises and was running serious temperature. So, My sister decided to go and report first to the school authority and to ask why they tried to cover the teacher up for such wicked act.

She went to the proprietress office and reported the case; telling her that she wanted to take it to the police but because of the respect she has for the owner of the school, that's why she's here to let the school know her next line of action. The prorietress was shocked to hear what happened and summoned the teacher.

When the teacher got there and was asked what happened, she said she didn't beat the boy that his tooth just fell off.

The grandma ( that's what they call the proprietress. She's 98) asked her,
How will you not touch a child and his tooth will remove? The teacher insisted that she didn't touch the child. So grandma told her it's better she says the truth as the mother is planning to take the case to another level. That she should at least own up and apologize. Your sister did not handle this well at all. You do not let sentiments prevent appropriate action to be taken against evil people. This is a teacher who comes in contact with children daily. Deduction from her salary IS NOT ENOUGH. Why? She will take that anger and hurt another child. She should be arrested and her teaching licence should be revoked. I remember when I was invited to interview a year ago. At this point, I had given up. I asked HR straight up what the budget for the role was. She was stunned and tried to go around it with all that we will let you know when you meet with the chairman. I told her bluntly what I was currently earning and if they could guarantee a 25 percent increase on that sum and give me a 6 week resumption period. I explained to her that their initial delay had messed up my calendar and as an employee, I didn’t have the luxury of taking days and time off if it wouldn’t be worth it in the long run.

To cut it short, she had to come clean and state what the role budget was. I thanked her, her chairman by extension and causally told her to try the next candidate. To keep good relations, I sent a formal email and wished them well.

The problem with Nigerian entities is that they take advantage of the teeming unemployed population and offer the barest minimum. I worked hard to get good grades, spent money on education, almost damaged my eyes in the process, deprived myself of so much and you want to toss me left and right and still offer peanuts because there’s a Nigerian and even Indian out there so desperate they’d take anything.

I’m in no means being uppity but Nigerian employers are taking advantage of the poverty, unemployment and desperation. This is why we have so many Nigerians seeking employment in different countries. I know my worth and I know a lot of these entities can do better. Unfortunately they won’t because there’s literally 10,000 Nigerians waiting to take up that offer you rejected. F**k the system.

Please I need a piece of honest advice from experienced nairalanders, I am a Software Engineer, I got an offer from a very close friend (He is like a brother to me) of mine that resides in Dubai to come and manage a club he co-owns to enable him time for other activities. I will need to learn how nightclubs operate since I have little or zero knowledge about the nightlife. I have the freedom to pick up side gigs (or remote work) when I can and He is not in any way restricting me but he needs me to learn the business with him.

The plan, in a simple language, when I learn the business well enough he will pull out and open his own so I can be his manager since he doesn't want recognition.

He paid for my flight ticket and was the one that processed the visa for me (tourism) and he is currently working on how my visa can be extended and my work permit too.

Before I came to Dubai, I applied for this opening with a tech firm in Berlin. I completed the last stage here in Dubai and have been sent the offer but I will have to relocate to Germany because the work is on-site, the company bare expenses regards flight ticket, travel insurance, visa process et al. The start salary is 56K euros per annum (gross).

Also, I resigned from a bank as a development specialist (full-time staff not yet confirmed though, was earning 450K naira net with other benefits) prior to my trip to Dubai. I was doing well in Nigeria because I earned a total of up to 800K (with all my works combined) just that the work ethic (the bank work) is toxic to me because you will work your brain out debugging code, plus I am looking at a good place that I can start a family when I am ready and Nigeria is a no for me unless I have enough money to send my kid abroad to study.

Since I came back over two yrs now she has been mishaving , she locks her phone constantly, something she never did before, even if its opened the apps are lock only her can open it, if complain abt that she will respond like why will I touch her phone, asking me who does that, to touch a woman's phone even to go to social media, and she has being subjecting me to that because I don't trust her, when we are about to sleep she put her phone on flight mode, and put it under her pillow and put her head on top. Her phone is constantly on silent mode during day time so if it rings she will determind whom to pick so I won't hear and know. We can't watch movie together as partners perhaps she afraid of who will call next ,because she knows I will give her hit.

If I manage to pick up her call she will be shivering,
We have had alot of issues because of her giving in to distractions , I'm tired of talking , I don beat her tire my hand don bend. I have told her if u don't want me again and you have seen somewhere better , open up and tell me instead of cheating that will be honorable thing to do. I don tire for this gal, if I drive her away she has no where to go. The school she's going I'm the one supporting her, her family is not giving her enough support because the don't believing in education all the know is business, and I'm the only one bearing her load and i'm not doing that because i want to marry her, i'm doing it because she needs help and she is my lover.
She doesn't want to loose me because we have really suffered together so she want to keep me as potential husband and still be playing games outside , what crime did I do to go for service so I can come back and make life better for us, cos that was when she got spoilt. I deflowered her and thats not how I left her.

I have resolved chasing her away, right now I'm in offshore , I never trusted her while I was on land is it now that I'm offshore I will trust her?

Not many people will tell you this truth but you’re a beast. A terrible Wicked beast. You’re one of those dangerous people that believe because they have done something for others they have a right over their lives.

You found a young naive and helpless girl, gave her the basics and now treat her just a little better than your boxers. I’m sure if we ask how old she was when you met her there will be “-teen” at the end of her age. Predator! You laying your hands on her just shows you do not have a foundation of proper love and care in your life. A damaged man who cannot wield natural male authority so he takes to beating someone physically weaker than him to instill fear. Pathetic!

I feel a lot of sympathy for that girl. She’s probably hiding her chats because the scales of gratitude are slowly falling off her eyes and her interaction with people are not favorable to you at all. Her friends are probably advising her against you and she’s looking for a way out. She’s tired of the beating and dominance, but her Stockholm’s syndrome and desire not to look ungrateful to you is keeping her there.

I pray to the good Lord that you find a woman who has the strength of May weather. So when you raise your hands she lands two square in your face and dislocates your weak jaw. Imagine beating a woman who cooks your food and has access to you while you sleep. You’re such a f**l. It’s probably on this same nairaland we will hear your end.

Anyway, if you don’t trust her and you’re tired of her “behavior”, set her free. Give it a timeline, discuss with her and you both go your separate ways. Your beastly temperamental psychotic behavior and her Stockholm’s syndrome is not the best mix to bring Innocent children into at all. Nigeria is already unsafe enough as it is. We don’t need you both breeding domestic terrorists.

This man is worthy of all the hype and admiration. He stood up for his wife and defended her against her rapist. He damned all the abuse and nonsense of the rape apologists and men/women who have never received true and unconditional love.

Timi is the ultimate example of an alpha male. A man who is ready to be at the fore of his family issues and fight for their dignity at all times. A fearless provider and protector. Please friends and good people of nairaland help me out to make a right choice am in a cross road with my career, i have HND in banking and finance with upper credit, am i applied for direct entry in a federal university and am giving the option to choose between B.sc ECONOMICS and ACCOUNTANCY, please your matured advice is needed on the one to go for. Do give reasons for your choice

Definitely economics. It gives you a wider range in the job market when you graduate. While in the university, you can go ahead and take those internationally accepted professional certifications. It will be grueling but definitely worth it.
