donuba61: Good day car gurus here. I have a Honda civic 2008 that was bought brand new by the previous owner, the car don't have custom paper, my question is can i travel interstate with the car without custom wahala? The car has Honda receipt showing it was bought brand new.
With the receipt you are good to go. Customs hardly stop such cars on the highway
hopefulLandlord: I've noticed something strange with my Xiaomi Redmi note 7. started about a month ago. Whenever I'm charging the battery percentage fails to increase but reduces. I notice however that if I reboot the device it then starts charging as expected. what could be the cause of this? also I'm using the fast charger.
Princecanada: I am about to pay for a Nigeria used Honda Civic 2007. The owner said car is in good shape and only issue is the AC compressor. Should I be worried about the AC not working, can it be fixed, and how much will it cost me to fix? Are there other things I need to check in the car or questions I I should ask? This is going to be my first car. I almost paid for a benz C240 recently but had to back out of the deal. How much do you think is good price for a Nigeria used Civic 2007 with over 200k mileage?
It could be more than the compressor, it could be the condenser, it could be the evaporator, it could be pipes. So make sure you put the cost of the above listed into consideration when negotiating.
Luxurydriverng: Driving on the Uber/Blot platform has been an adventure and also opened my eyes to alot of things. I see drivers turn cars into hotel rooms and spend days on the road just to meet up with weekly remittance before they can start thinking of making their own gain.
Buying a Toyota Corolla which is rideshare's number 1 choice has become so expensive.
Here is a list of 5 affordable alternative for the Toyota Corolla.
oladipuposadeeq: as for me, civic is way ahead of Hyundai elantra and when it comes to travelling and using it within the city, you will enjoy it very well if its bought as Toks and also remember to check the VIN history also. I delivered one to client in akwa ibom few years ago and he hasn't called me up till date that the car is giving him headache though i am the one that sends engine oil and oil filter every 3 months.
Thanks for this post. I've been thinking of getting either a C class benz or BMW 3 Series for this biz. Corrola just full everywhere. And so far on the enquiries I've made, the fuel consumption is even better than most popular cars used for Uber business.
Still stuck at picking between the two tho. Suggestions are welcomed
If you want to go for a BMW, stick with any 4 cylinder engine and also avoid 4 wheel drive because maintenance is higher. Another thing with 3 series is that it does not have enough leg room for those seated at the back.
bowintrillz: Hello house Please for a first time car I'm thinking Honda Accord 09/13 And Honda Civic 2013.. Comparing them as regards value for money..which should I go for please
As a first time owner I will suggest you go for the CIVIC. It's more economical and would serve you well.
dru23: This is my 03 Honda civic that I use on Uber.. Mobil 1 Extended performance is what have been using from day 1 ......
As you can see they is no sludge roughly after 5k miles on Mobil 1 EP.. It will likely run another 4k miles before another oil change.. This is how good Mobil 1 EP is .......
My advice if your car is fresh tokunbo, Mobil 1 EP is one of the best choice.. You get longer oil change interval and your engine is well protected..
So place your order.. This stuff really works and keeps your engine running smooth...
adeinfinit: Good evening Gurus in the house, Please help a newbie. My Honda civic doesn’t accelerate smoothly. When i try to accelerate after a stop, it drags before moving. When its in motion also, i also notice it drags while changing gear. It was serviced recently and the gear oil changed with the attached.
My mechanic says might be the fuel pump or nozzle.
That dealer encouraging you to buy Camry 07-09 for Uber/Bolt does not like you. 1. Camry 07-09 2.4L engine has a problem of excessive oil consumption and other issues. Infact you can research about it online, if you can avoid those model years. 2. The automatic transmission can easily develop problem and it's very pricey.
I will advice you completely stay away from Camry 2007 - 2009. Lexus E350 is a luxury car with a V6 engine. Its fuel thirsty and parts are expensive.
For that kind of business, you need a car that is very durable and has good fuel economy. I will personally recommend the following based on your budget of 1.6m-1.8m: 1. Toyota Corolla 06-07 2. Toyota Camry 06 3. Honda Civic 07 (plz avoid Civic 06) 4. Toyota Matrix XR 06 FWD 5. Hyundai Elantra 08-10 (2.0L US version Only)
