The equation is simple, how many CNG are they getting, what is the population of the 2 countries, $3m at what rate, what is the aim of the 2 countries on the plan CNG.

Mushin Mathematics:

Kenya- $3million = 1000 buses
Nigeria- N100billion = 5,600 buses

The federal government has concluded plans to launch and deploy Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles for mass transit, starting this May, as part of activities marking President Bola Tinubu’s one year in office.

Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement, yesterday.

Onanuga said while considering buses and tricycles in addition, the government targeted about one million automobiles by 2027. He said the committee led by Michael Oluwagbemi was set to deliver cheaper, safer and more climate-friendly energy vehicles.

Onanuga said the committee had fulfilled some foundational reforms to enable the new CNG and electric vehicles deliver the future Tinubu promised.

He added that all was ready for delivery of the first set of critical assets for deployment and launch of the vehicles ahead of the first anniversary of the Tinubu administration on May 29.

The presidential aide assured that from the end of May this year, Nigeria would join the league of nations with large fleets of CNG vehicles.

The federal government provided N100 billion, as part of the N500 billion palliative budget, to purchase 5,500 CNG vehicles, being part of the many intervention programmes to cushion the effect of increase in petrol pump price on the masses. This included buses and tricycles, 100 electric buses and over 20,000 CNG conversion kits, spurring the development of CNG refilling stations and electric charging stations.

BasiGo garners $3 million in Kenya
Kenyan electric bus solutions startup BasiGo has secured $3 million worth of equity funding to scale up production of electric buses for Kenya and Rwanda.

The investment in Kenyan electric bus manufacturer BasiGo comes from Corporation For Africa & Overseas (CFAO), which also owns Africa’s largest automotive distribution network and is a subsidiary of the Japanese group Toyota Tsusho, the trading arm of the Toyota Group.

The Kenyan bus maker assembles BYD electric buses and provides charging and maintenance services for bus operators. BasiGo says it already has over 500 reservations from bus operators in Nairobi and an additional 100 reservations from operators in Kigali, Rwanda. The start-up is offering public transport operators its 25-seater “K6” and 54-seater “E9 Kubwa” BYD models assembled in Kenya. With the fresh investment, the company says it now aims to deliver 1,000 locally-assembled electric buses over the coming three years.

The investment is backed by venture capital firm Mobility54, the corporate venture capital arm of Toyota Tsusho, which led a $6.6 mn funding round in 2022 along with Trucks VC, a transportation-focused venture capital fund in Silicon Valley, and Novastar Ventures, a global VC supporting entrepreneurs in Africa.

He added that the terms of the agreement between NIPOST and the plaintiff included the remuneration of N7.50 from every 50-naira deduction.

“That the Plaintiff’s 15% which is NGN 579,130,698,440 is part of the 3.8 trillion naira in the Stamp Duty Collection Account.

It's mind boggling that a public servant signed this kind of contract on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria. The banks are the ones collecting and remitting the funds to CBN, I need clarification on why FG needs an intermediary and if it's absolutely required, it will be 15% of the money from now until eternity.

They will struggle to get this huge commission from this current administration of CBN and President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This is why CBN Gov Olayemi Cardoso was brought to CBN and he is called "The Headmaster ".

The Judge just carefully used wisdom too wink

Politics / Ondo Commissioner: Tinubu Demanded Ondo Deputy Governor Sign Resignation Letter by ganisucks(f): 7:48pm On Dec 01, 2023
The Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu, in his intervention in the political crisis in the state, requested a signed resignation letter from the Deputy Governor of the state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu, in his intervention in the political crisis in the state, requested a signed resignation letter from the Deputy Governor of the state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Aiyedatiwa on Thursday presided over the state’s executive council meeting after a months-long political impasse between himself and the governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

The executive council meeting came after Tinubu called the warring factions loyal to Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa for the resolution of the political crisis in the state.

The intervention by Tinubu means that Akeredolu remained the governor of the state while Aiyedatiwa remained the deputy governor, the Presidency said.

However, Ademola-Olateju, who was a guest on Channels Television’s Lunchtime Politics on Friday, said that the President asked the deputy governor for a signed undated resignation later in case anything untoward happens.

“First of all before I even talk about the Abuja meeting I just want to thank the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for being a very good leader, wielding into the crisis in Ondo State.

“His intervention has cooled the temperature that was just going haywire in Ondo State, we thank him. At the Abuja meeting, key decisions were made by Mr President who is the leader of our party the All Progressives Congress. Those key decisions were that the status quo in the state be maintained.

“He decided that the executive council must not be dissolved under any condition and the party structure should be maintained, that the leadership of the House of Assembly should be intact and he nominated three people; the Secretary to the State Government, the party chairman and the speaker of the house to be the enforcers and to forestall further problems.

“He asked for the signed resignation letter of Honourable Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Deputy Governor undated in case anything untoward happens, so that is what I know,” the commissioner said.

The Ondo State House of Assembly and its Speaker also withdrew an appeal filed before the Court of Appeal, Abuja, against the ruling of the Federal High Court, Abuja, which stopped the planned impeachment of Aiyedatiwa.

The House of Assembly and its Speaker had challenged the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court, Abuja to handle the matter and appealed against the court’s ruling halting the planned impeachment of the deputy governor.

At Thursday’s proceedings, counsel for the Speaker and the Assembly, Remi Olatobura, told the three-member panel of justices of the appellate court that he has the instructions of his clients to withdraw the appeal.

The senior lawyer told the court that parties in the matter have found a political solution to their problems and have signed an agreement to withdraw the appeal.

According to Olatubora, the appeal is being withdrawn in the interest of peace and, as part of the agreement reached by the parties.

Respondents in the appeal confirmed that they were served with the notice of withdrawal adding that, they were not objecting to the notice of withdrawal.

Justice Haruna Tsammani, who led the three-member panel, subsequently dismissed the appeal, having been withdrawn by the appellants.

Let us say you supported Peter Obi like I did, do you think change will happen overnight. Please try and balance your views.

The only person I support is President Ganisucks. Everyone else is incompetent until proven otherwise. President Obi will have faults and failures just like Balabu.

Go to immigration offices and see for yourself what is happening. All that mkpirimiri snuff addict is doing is to pay media houses to lie for him. If he likes let him demolish National theatre, it won't change the inevitable. In 2027, the SWAGA empire will come to an end.
