Job Description
The position of Recovery Officer is vacant within the Remedial and Classified Assets Management department and we are seeking to engage a suitably qualified and self-motivated individual to fill the role.

NDA AFSB Screening Requirements:

Candidates MUST bring along the original and 2 photocopies each of the following documents:

JAMB UTME Result Slip 2018.
Acknowledgement Form and NDA Examination Admission Card.
Academic Certificates / Statements of Result and Testimonials for Primary and Secondary Schools (Junior and Senior).
Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, preferably Birth Certificate.
Letter of Attestation of State/Local Government Indigeneship duly signed by the SSG or Chairman of Local Government, as the case may be.
Certification obtained from a military officer from the candidate’s state of origin, who must be of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and above or equivalent in the Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force, may be used in place of Local Government Indigeneship Certificate. In this case, the officer must indicate his formation/unit, appointment, contact address, phone numbers and e-mail address. The officer must also affix formation/unit stamp and sign.
Letter of Consent from Parent/Guardian.
Candidates are to download both the “Attestation and Letter of Consent Forms” from the NDA applications portal/NDA website (www.ndaapplications.net/, www.nda.edu.ng) and complete same. Candidates who fail to bring along the documents listed above will be disqualified. Any alterations on the documents will attract outright disqualification.
Other Requirements.

Candidates are to also bring along the following items:

Writing materials.
Three blue shorts and 3 white (round-neck) T-shirts.
A pair of white canvas shoes and 3 pairs of white socks.
Toiletries.
A non-refundable fee of N2, 500.00 each for verification/confirmation of results at WAEC/NECO.
Scratch cards for WAEC and/or NECO results for online confirmation of result.
Four recent coloured passport photographs.
The second copy of “Postcard Photograph” that was presented and endorsed at the Exam Centre during the NDA Screening Test.
Transport money to and from Kaduna.
Note
Candidates who fail to report by “Saturday 23rd June, 2018” and “Saturday 14th July, 2018” for Batches 1 and 2 respectively, will not be allowed to attend the interview. Any candidate in Batch 2 who is seen around the NDA premises before “14th July 2018”, will be disqualified.
All candidates will be accommodated and fed throughout the duration of their stay for the AFSB.
All candidates will undergo a screening exercise which will involve certificates/credentials screening, medical and physical fitness tests amongst others. Only candidates who pass the screening exercise will qualify to continue with the interview.
Thus, any candidate that fails at any stage of the screening (documents verification and medical screening) will be asked to leave the NDA premises.

This program, promoted by the Women for Africa Foundation, aims to promote the transfer of knowledge, exchange and training of African women undergraduate and graduate students through scholarships in Spanish universities that collaborate in this initiative.

The Women for Africa Foundation is a private entity founded in 2012 by former vice president of the Government of Spain, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, with the aim of contributing to the development of Africa through its women. Since then, the Foundation has launched a dozen projects in the areas of education, economic development, health, and knowledge and women empowerment.

Serves as the liaison personnel with finance department (Inventory unit) towards ensuring that the share information of Asset Register/ Asset tagging are constantly with all facilities management details.
Captures FM information for implementing proper Asset Management processes and procedures
Ensures that all requests from various users/department within the organization are dealt with in a timely manner and in accordance with stipulated service level agreement
Develop a partnering relationship with all key stakeholders, aiming to meet their needs whilst maintaining budget control and alignment of policies and procedures
Supervises Maintenance tasks to meet the requirement of statutory and regulatory legislation, quality and service level agreement requirements
Monitors operational performance of service providers including maintenance and security operations in line with processes and procedures to achieve optimal efficiency and also escalates issues to the facilities manager as and when required.
Ensures that invoices for services rendered are duly submitted for payment processes.
Operates as the customer service liaison personnel for the FAS department towards providing unparalleled service delivery for users of RusselSmith facilities.

S/he will also support in maintaining contact with relevant government authorities and technical partners, to enhance

Persons (TIP) and exploitation among affected populations. Activities will be carried out in coordination with the United Nations (UN) humanitarian response system, and especially the protection sector working group as well as government counterparts such as NAPTIP.
S/he will also contribute to developing and promoting of the IOM’s Counter-Trafficking policy in Nigeria.

Core Functions / Responsibilities
Support the overall implementation of the mission’s counter-trafficking and victim protection activities and the development of new ones especially in North East Nigeria. Monitor and track the financial, administrative and technical oversight of projects to ensure adherence to IOM’s policies, practices and global standards on counter-trafficking (particularly focusing on the victim-centred response) as well as relevant requirements, guidelines and grant agreements regarding the issue of trafficking in persons.
Coordinate daily project activities and participate actively in training development and delivery. Communicate and follow up with appropriate IOM units and field offices, including in relation with psychosocial activities, IOM counter-trafficking and other vulnerable groups regular programmes on-going the Mission.
Promote dialogue, information-sharing and cooperation among Government and non-governmental actors on IOM’s priority areas for cooperation. Monitor the protection needs of the victims of trafficking, their families and communities and coordinate systematic reporting.
Collect and report critical information related to counter-trafficking activities/stakeholders or existing plans in Nigeria.
Assist with the integration of victim protection related variables into assessments and tools used by IOM (such as DTM) and coordinate their analysis and treatment within IOM and other key protection actors.
Implement victim protection strategies, notably identification, referral and assistance activities for children (special focus on unaccompanied and separated children), victims of human trafficking and exploitation, victims of gender-based violence and/or other survivors of violence, exploitation and abuse, in coordination with other colleagues and concerned protection actors.
Coordinate project staff as well as consultants recruited to support and/or undertake specific activities.
Participate in protection focused seminars and other meetings of governmental and non-governmental entities, as requested.
Draft regular reports covering counter-trafficking and protection activities; prepare inputs for briefings, statistical/narrative reports and background information as required including specific information requested by Governments and other entities.

The RPO will report to the Deputy Chief of Party and serve as the Nigeria program’s primary advisor on OTI’s regional approach. To do so, the RPO will liaise with RPOs and program staff from OTI’s other LCB programs, the OTI LCB Regional Advisor based in Accra, and staff from OTI’s regional Learning Analysis and Reporting Program (LARP)
S/he will serve as a member of and advise the Nigeria program’s Senior Management Team (SMT) on regional political, legal and economic developments, and developments in the regional agenda that affect the Nigeria program’s strategic focal states/regions
The RPO will provide strategic guidance on how to continuously adapt the program to ensure that it remains coordinated and relevant, effective, and immediately takes advantage of windows of programming opportunities as they arise within the context of OTI’s regional strategy.
The RPO will work to goals and targets of the Nigeria Program, set in coordination with the OTI LCB Regional Advisor (LCB RA) to achieve regional approach and work plan objectives. The RPO will coordinate with both the Nigeria Monitoring & Evaluation and Program teams, and the OTI LCB RA and LARP staff to ensure that lessons learned are captured and incorporated region-wide

Qualifications

Prior experience with international development organizations, particularly with transition programming, and/or programs that have both national and community-level engagement;

The Curtin University is an Australian public research university based in Bentley and Perth, Western Australia. The university is named after the 14th Prime Minister of Australia, John Curtin, and is the largest university in Western Australia, with over 58,000 students.

The candidate should have a very good command of English language. Therefore, the application should be written in English.
