Please for the benefit of those of us who just entered the pool and are awaiting ITA, We'd appreciate some advice on what next to do.

- What are the documents to put together, which of them should we start with first seeing that its 60 days time frame to submit application after ITA. In order words can you kindly list them in order of urgent importance

- Is there a checklist of this documents and what are the requirements

1. You guys will be married next month so why not just apply as a couple? If you want to go ahead and apply alone, do NOT apply as a single as that will be misrepresentation that can ruin your chances for PR. Instead, you can go as "spouse unaccompanying" but bear in mind that you will still have to show funds for you+wife, submit her PCC and then she'll go for a medical exam even if she's not going to Canada with you. Then you'd have to explain why she's not coming with you blah blah blah. All the wahala for spouse unaccompanied and then you go through the hassles of taking her over later? Mr. packaging, don't worry yourself at all. Just read up and explain to her the benefits of being a Canadian PR. When madam learns about the "packaging" Canada offers to PRs, it is highly likely that her job will suddenly become less time-consuming and she will jump ship from Dubai to Canada immediately .

2. No idea. Try to get a contact there/in Nigeria so you can get more info.

3. Depends on your score as the PA. Your age/work experience/academic degree/IELTS score would mean a lot here. If your points are not high enough, she might have to step in to write the IELTS to boost your score. Play around the CRS tool to simulate your scores which will help put things into perspective. I think you need to read this as well.

4. I hear it takes a year after you land as a PR and it's no easy feat bro. Better to add her to your application now.

My first attempt ielts result is out LRWS: 8.5,9,7,8.

Basically I used ieltsonlinetests.com and Cambridge books for listening and reading. Speaking was ielts mentor and Jay E2 language, writing was Jay E2 language for task 1, Ryan and ieltsadvantage for task 2. Thanks @drcynthia for reading and correcting my writing trials.

I must say managing your time is pivotal. I was able to manage my time to read through my writings and make corrections as well as change some words to their synonyms.

I made sure I finished my reading in time and used the extra time to read through the passages line by line where I realised I had picked some wrong answers while skimming and changed them to the correct ones.

In all, God favored me. I also said the prayer of St Joseph of Cupertino though I'm not catholic. May God's name alone be praised.

Congratulations. You see this IELTS exam, one can not rule out the 'God Factor' in it. A person can put in ample time to practice, and after exam, still fall short. My second seating gave me L9 R7 W7 S7.5 (British Council), and while preparing for this exam, I prayed the Novena to Mary the Undoer of Knots. I'm Catholic. All the glory must be to the Lord. Option 1: jump into the pool now, get ITA, submit your application, then get married and add her post AOR.
Option 1b: even if the wedding doesn't hold till you get COPR, you can still add her before landing.
Pros: she won't need to do Wes or IELTS.
Cons: you both might be invited for interview in Accra (emphasis on 'might'. You could get lucky)

Option 2: Get married asap and apply as a couple. With your high score, she won't need to do both ECA and IELTS. Pick one and move on.
Pros: You eliminate the interview 'threat'.
Cons: you would have to wait till after the wedding, to start.

Option 3: Apply, get COPR and land. Then get married and sponsor her to Canada.
Pros: none
Cons: too many to count

My point is that if you really want to include her in your application, you need to get married even if it's just court marriage you do, that will be enough and I hope you have enough evidence to prove to CIC that it is not an arranged marriage. Evidence such as messages you exchanged , WhatsApp chats, call logs, pictures you've taken together during one of your outings, etc.

If you are sure you can prove it's not an arranged marriage, then my advice will be for you to process the application as a single person first, after your submission with AOR, you can do a court wedding and inform CIC.

Doing this will not need her to write IELTS and probably WES as well. Although WES would be need if she wants to study in canadCanada.

First, timeline for spouse sponsorship is anything upward of 12 months. I'm sure you wouldn't want to go through that long wait.

If you want to include your boo to your CRS, get married immediately after submitting your application and inform CIC of the change in your family composition.
@463 even if you get deducted 5 points after ypur birthday, you're still in a very good position to get ITA almost immediately.

The decision is yours to make.

My CRS score currently stands at 463, I'm 30 and I turn 31 by June which means the score may reduce if i dont enter the pool to make the draw slated for April 17 now and wait till my next birthday. I have a fiance and I want to use my CRS for the both of us.

Whats the House's advice?

1. Do i enter the pool (at my current age which gives me the 463 score) and get the PR for single person, then begin processing for her because by the time she writes the IELts and do the WES, I may get to my next birthday which may reduce the CRS score both both of us.

OR

2. Do I wait it out while she writes her IELTS and gets the WES so we run it together as a couple, which means the CRS score will reduce due to an age increase?

Between options 1 and 2, what do you advice??

Thirdly, if I chose option 1, and after getting the PR for single applicant, how soon can me ad my fiance process hers and how long do you reckon it will take?

Truth is I dont want to go to Canada without my boo, that's why we are in this fix. So we thought to ask the house.

PLEASE can I also add that I did my WES in 2018 and I wasnt asked about anything concerning WAEC. I hope there is no problem oh?

Yes it is in Nigeria. But WES converted it to the Canadian equivalence which is 4 years.

Okay. Select "Bachelors' degree" for your BSc, then add your PGD separately and select "One year program at University, college, trade or technical school, or other institute" for the Postgraduate Diploma. You will be awarded points for "Two or more certificates....". Read through the first page here for more info.

After creating and submitting your EE profile, crosscheck your EE overall score (displayed on your account) with your simulated score on the CRS tool to ensure it tallies and that you were awarded the points for 2 or more certificates.
