enilove: This isn't about insult. I will not insult you back. So the argument now is it wasn't you and you mum. Your mum went alone abi? Noted don't use that to derail the thread. The problem with you is that any bad news you hear about Islam is true no matter the source. It is equivalent to me bringing information from www.evilbible.com. It doesn't make any sense. enilove: Hilarious!! So all the pope that are not getting married are sons of God? Many things are not known about Jesus (Isa, PBUH) and this include the fact as to whether he got married to Mary Mangalene or not. I've prayed that prayer several time. May be you can continue praying it on my behalf. It will be very appreciated. Unlike you I've not sealed my heart. pointblank 321: Ask Isaiah 29:12 sir. "And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned." I thought christians say God is the alpha & omega meaning he can do anything. All he has do say is "be and it will." |

I still remember vividly my encounter with a former student of the school. I got the shock of my life when I told her I'm a Muslim. But the last time I visited her she actually showed me a copy of the translated Qur'an she now reads. I'm so full of joy for her right now. 2 Likes |

^^^ You leave the main questions I raised only to chase shadows. I've not lied concerning what I said about you in anyway. You can open another thread to discuss whether the prayer of the living can affect the dead. I'll be glad to contribute. Your story about Abraham is quite hilarious. I'm sure you are not referring to the one in Genesis 17. I'll implore you to quote the verse. If salvation is of the Jews, then they should invoke death if they can but they will never be able to because of what their hands had sent forth. I love Jesus (Isa, PBUH) because I've been instructed to by the same religion you are castigating. The Jews never believed in Jesus (Isa, PBUH). So much lies on this innocent man called Jesus (Isa, PBUH). You can read up: ‘Misquoting Jesus’ by Bart Ehrman. The name of Jesus (Isa, PBUH) is powerless. That has been discussed extensively in the thread below: https://www.nairaland.com/996451/name-jesus-2-10. "I pray that God will arrest your soul and you will know that this life is not a joking matter." Quite hilarious to say the least. |

@enilove The fact that you were born into a Muslim family as claimed doesn’t make you right. It just goes to show that the same lies people are overcoming is the exact one you choose to imbibe. If I tell you my background, you will marvel. What do these people have in common? Eric Abidal, Frank Ribbery, Garry Miller, Lauren Booth, Sean Stone, Nicholas Anelka, John Brennan, Calsius Clay (Mohammed Ali), Mike Tyson, Wesley Snipes, Thierry Henry, the Jackson family, Bruno Metzue, Kenneth L. Jenkins, Dr. Jerald F. Dirks, Martin John Mwaipopo, Raphael Narbaez, Rev. David Benjamin Keldani, Archpriest.Viacheslav.Polosin and a host of others. There were all fed with the same lies for years if not decades. But later they found the TRUTH. I pray you do the same. Christianity will continue to be relevant in Sub- Saharan Africa where poverty is the other of the day. That explains the linear relationship between the establishment of churches and our backwardness. We keep looking for non-existing miracles, the miracles that took you to the church in the first place. Jesus (Isa, PBUH) is only a messenger of Allah. Jesus (Isa, PBUH) spoke to a man who had called him ‘good,’ asking him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.’ (Luke 18:19) And he said to him, ‘Why are you asking me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.’ (Matthew 19:17). Which commandments? Definitely the commandments in Exodus 20. 360 idols were worshipped in Mecca prior to the coming of Muhammed (PBUH). Because Idols were worshipped there, nothing good can ever be done there right? Idols are physical objects. What physical object did Muhammed (PBUH) ordered Muslims to worship? Why did you intentionally missed the part when Muhammed’s (PBUH) first wife took Muhammed (PBUH) to her uncle? The uncle (a Christian) said to Muhammed (PBUH) that people will revolve against him because of the authencity of what he has brought but as long as he remained alive, he would stand by him. Is it not sad that centuries after that people like you are still revolting against him? The first commandment is explicit enough in Exodus 20. THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME. The first pillar of Islam is: THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD AND MUHAMMED (PBUH) IS HIS MESSENGER. The Qur’an is so explicit about one God: “And your God is One God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.” – The Noble Qur’an 2: 163. You want to tell me there are many gods in Islam or what? If you are Yoruba as your handle implies then you will understand why OBAS usually use “We” to describe themselves or why you use “Awon” for your parents or elderly people. If you believe Jesus (Isa, PBUH) is God, then we don't worship the same God. 1 Like |

@enilove, And you are one of this few without a carnal mind who understands the bible, right? Interesting!!! How many Jews believe in Jesus (Isa, PBUH)? The religious affiliation of the Israeli population is 75% Jewish, 16.9% Muslims, 2.1% Christians and 1.7% Druze with the remaining 4% not classified by religion. The same Jews Jesus (Isa, PBUH) described as a wicked and adulterous generation in Matthew 16:4. Here is the Surah you are referring to: Say, "O DISBELIEVERS, I do not worship what you worship. Nor are you worshippers of what I worship. Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship. Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship. For you is your religion, and for me is my religion." – The Noble Qur’an 119:1-6. At least you’ve just admitted you are an unbeliever. As long as you keep worshipping man and three gods we will NEVER worship the same God. I want you to describe to me how Jesus (Isa, PBUH) prayed while he was alive and who was he praying to in Matthew 26:39, Matthew 26:42 and Matthew 26:44? The concept of one God is biblical. Matthew 4:10: “Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: "Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only."'" John 17:3: "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." 1Corinthians 8:5-6: "For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords", yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." 1Timothy 2:5: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" James 2:19: "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder." “O people of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah aught but truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an Apostle of Allah and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His Apostles. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is One Allah: glory be to him: (for Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs" – The Noble Qur'an 4:171. “Believing in one God does not make the person to be serving the true God.” Can you please explain this quote. “That was why even Abraham could not make heaven until Jesus came and shed his blood.”The question is: Why would an innocent man shed his blood for me? “The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.” – Ezekiel 18:20. The condition is the lineage of any man or woman is linked to the paternal ancestors. Remember Adam like Jesus (Isa, PBUH) also had no paternal lineage. If the criterion used in referring to someone as a son of god is having no earthly father then Adam and the Angels are more qualified for the position. Who was this prophecy referring to? Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, “Read (recite) this, please” and he says, I am not literate.” I therefore put it to you that you are ignorantly & arrogantly working for Satan by hindering men from the truth. "I shall turn away from my signs those who are arrogant in the earth unjustifiably, and if they see all the signs (in creation) they believe them not, and if they see the path of righteousness they do not take it as (their) path, and if they see the path of misguidance they take it as (their) path. That is because they deny our signs and are used to disregarding them" The Noble Qur’an 7:146. I’m not surprised because I remember how you said you and your mum went to seek help in the church. If she had gone to the herbalist you would have become a BABALAWO and still come here and preach to us about traditional practice. |

@enilove, I am aware that the Prophet lived for years after the event happened. What kind of food poison is that if I may ask? Should it be able the number of miracles or rather the gift of miracle? Nigerian pastors arguably have done more miracles more than Jesus (PBUH) and what does that indicate? There are more holy than Jesus (PBUH) right? Definitely not! The true account is that Allah initially – on the night of the Mi’raaj when our Prophet (PBUH) was taken up into heaven – enjoined fifty prayers to be performed night and day. Then the Prophet (PBUH) kept asking his Lord to reduce it until it became five prayers to be offered night and day. But Allaah decreed the reward of fifty prayers for these five, so whoever prays five prayers will receive the reward of fifty prayers. "Indeed, the example of Jesus (PBUH) to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was." Al-Imraan 3:59. Adam (as) was first man and first prophet but he was not a Messenger, because of the hadeeth about intercession in which it says that the people will go to Nooh and say to him, “You are the first Messenger whom Allaah sent to the earth.” This text clearly indicates that Nooh was the first of the Messengers. I find it quite unbelievable that Jesus (PBUH) never predicted the coming of Muhammed (PBUH) according to christians. This is so strange considering the number of events he predicted. But I've heard some say that Muhammed was predicted as a false prophet. Here is a verse from the bible that actually talked about a false prophet. "Jesus answered them, ‘Watch out that no one misleads you. For many will come in my name, saying, "I am the Christ," and they will mislead many ... Then if anyone says to you, "Look, here is the Christ!" or "There he is!" do not believe him. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Remember, I have told you ahead of time.’" Matthew 24:4-5, 23-25. This description does not fit Muhammed (PBUH) in anyway. You will even agree with me that that description fit perfectly with some GOs we have today. Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) was definitely predicted in the bible and not the Holy spirit because the Holy spirit was already around and the verse was a reference to a human. Genesis 1:2 "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." 1 Samuel 10:10 "And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them." 1 Samuel 11:6 "And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly." "Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?" (Isaiah 63:11) "For he (John the Baptist) shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb." (Luke 1:15) "And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee." (Luke 1:35) "And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost" (Luke 1:41) "And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying," (Luke 1:67) "And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him." (Luke 2:25) "And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost (Simeon), that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ." (Luke 2:26) "And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him (Jesus), and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased." (Luke 3:22) "Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost." (John 20:21-22). My point with respect to the Nehemiah verse is which church is currently during that today. And the Matthew verse was Matthew 26:39. The accounts of Jesus’ death and resurrection as depicted in the gospels are in serious conflict. Furthermore, Jesus’ resurrection appearances were not originally part of the gospel of Mark (the earliest of the four gospels). Mark originally ended at 15:8 with the women running from the tomb frightened. Verses 9-20 were a later addition. What the Christian scholars often overlook is the interesting phenomenon of later gospel manuscripts knowing more details than the earlier ones! This is a clear indication that those details were never part of the original oral and written accounts but were inserted into the later copies. The accounts of Jesus’ death and resurrection as depicted in the gospels are in serious conflict. Please you can state the questions again explicitly because I didn't see any questions in your initial post. Thank you. |

@enilove First of all, which Moses are you talking about here? What year was Prophet Muhammed poisoned and what year did he died? Many have performed miracles before him and many are still performing miracles till tomorrow. John the baptist was sinless as well. The similitude of Jesus (PBUH) is that of Adam (PBUH). They both had no earthly father and they are both great prophets of Allah. Exactly what lesson do you want us to learn with respect to the event you narrated? That Muslims don't have cure for sickness and that's why they are all dead, rigt? It makes no sense to you the source of the power. As a Muslim I believe only (God) Allah heals. How old were you when this event happened? Did Jesus (PBUH) founded christianity? No! Paul who never saw Jesus (PBUH) did. What is Paul's last name? Did Jesus (PBUH) tell you to worship him? No! Did Jesus (PBUH) died for our sins? No! "The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the father. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin." - Deuteronomy 24:16. Muslims worship God the way He should be worshiped. The way He was worship in Matthew 16:39 and Nehemiah 8:6. "And establish regular prayers at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night: for those things that are good remove those that are evil: be that the word of remembrance to those who remember (their Lord)". (Al-Qur’an 11:114). The verses that conceived me Islam is the way are: Deuteronomy 18:18, Isaiah 29:12, John 16:7, John 16:12-14) among others. |

adenuel2012: Bros you really need to watch those matches again. 1. It was ideye who made assist in the first game. Mikel was only involved. If we go by your reasoning then all the 11 Nigerian players including the keeper made the assist since it was also someone who passed the ball to Mikel. 2. He missed the penalty in the first half and made the assist in the second half. 3. Trust me I'm the last person who will beef Mikel. |

I didn't watch the Ethiopia game, but I'm sure he would have been one of the better performers on that day. Bros please try to watch the match first. I've always been a fan of Mikel right from under 17. I always refer to him as a stabilizer but he keeps disappointing me when it comes to Nigeria. Did he make assist in the first game? No! He only tried to make up for his missed penalty against Zambia. That's all. |

Phrankve1: Everything that has mikels name on it people will come with their negative insight. This guy has been one of our best players in this tournament, I dont know why he is getting unnecessary hatred from Nigerians. Is there any nigerian player that has been able to play for a top club for 7 years and still counting. And so fu**ing what? Is he the first player to be converted. Was Yobo not formally an attacker? He has been playing defence now for over a decade. Was agholahor not formally a right back? He is not the first player to be converted and he won't be the last. Sometimes we destroy these players without knowing it. How much does he have compare to Messi, Ronaldo, Falcao, Rooney, Terry, Ver Persie and co yet you see this players giving more that 100% for their country. What can you talk about Kanu who played for Ajax, Inter Milan and Arsenal with goals and brilliant perfomances to show for it and fantastic career with Nigeria. I still remember vividly how he wept at the Nations cup in 2000 in Lagos. Each time I see Mikel I see a player who lacked confidence and is afraid of taking responsibility. It is so sad that we expect more than he can do from him. Don't even mention Okocha because for Nigeria Okocha is in a world of his own. Mikel is a classic example of luck. That he wiped poverty from his generation, his family will be thankful to him. Nigeria will also be thankful to him for his performance in Holland 2005. We still remember how he dodged the Beijing Olympics in 2008. |
