President Muhammadu Buhari's media team have released a photo of him "reading" a newspaper.

The minister of transportation under Buhari, Rotimi Amaechi purportedly said in an audio leak at the weekend that Buhari doesn't read nor listen to anybody.

"The president does not listen to anybody. He doesn’t care. You can write what you want to write. Does he read?," Amaechi purportedly said in the tape.

"I was flying with him in the aircraft and we saw a news report where a goat seller was complaining that he couldn’t sell his goats during Sallah because of Buhari’s administration. And the president said what my business with goat sellers is?”

Since the tapes were leaked to public domain, the minister has neither denied nor admit he indeed made those statements.

The young Nigerian man who shared how he was manhandled in the early hours of today in Lekki Phase 1 wrote;

So this morning In Lekki phase 1, i was sleeping when the security man came to wake me up that he caught someone broke into my car with the things he stole from the car and everywhere ransacked, we called the security agency and they called the cops but they had no patrol vehicle as they said, we decided to take him to the Lekki Divisional Police station, the case was reported, i wrote a statement as the complainant, to cut the story short they asked if i wanted to charge the thief to court and that I’ll have to pay for the transport and some stuffs to be able to charge a thief to court, i told them i don’t want to be the one responsible for sending another man to prison for stealing things i already recovered, they still begged for money anyway cos they found out i just came back from America, i gave them some money and i wrote a letter to withdraw the case and let everything go, so before i could come back outside one of the policemen went and wrote on my car “MEET US AT THE ELF BUS STOP SAYS BY AROMATE CONFRATERNITY TODAY OR YOU WILL FINE YOURSELF AS A DEAD MAN BY 11 ON THE DOT signed “

So i went back into the police station to get the attention of the officers and they were all acting like they don’t know who wrote it or what was going on.

Who could have come to a police station and write this on the car, like WTF, This is what Nigerian police has been reduced to, they either find a way to extort you or even kill you for your possession if they have a chance, this is exactly why no one believe in this country no more, this country will never be great, there’s no way it will ever be, politicians aren’t the only problem we have...smfh

A CCTV footage have been released of how a man escaped or rather confused some robbers who wanted to rob him on his way home.

The video which has over 40k views and 5k shares got Nigerians talking of how they will confuse their enemies this year..

The footage which was captured on the first day of this year, showed how a man intelligently confused the thieves by running haphazardly and escaped.

Some Nigerians, who reacted to the video, asked God to give them the kind of sense the man has so that they will equally curve their enemies this year..

Embattled Nigerian lawmaker, senator Dino Melaye has reportedly submitted himself for an arrest to the police after seven days of a siege on his Abuja residence.

About 20 officers of the police were at Melaye’s residence on Friday, December 28 to arrest the lawmaker representing Kogi West senatorial district. But he did not surrender to the Police, saying he was not in Abuja.

Melaye is currently standing trial in more than one suit. He has been accused of illegal possession of arms, gun running and sponsoring hoodlums in Kogi State.

In a sperate trial, he was accused of a six-count charge, bordering on attempted suicide, attempt to escape from custody and damage of police property.

Police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said the shooting and injuries on a police officer by Senator Dino Melaye and his armed thugs in Kogi State on the 19th July 2018 warranted his arrest.

He added that the police officer was yet to recover from the gunshot injury he sustained during the attack and was under intensive medical care.

Melaye, however, challenged the police to be responsible for securing the lives of Nigerians, rather than seeking the arrest of an innocent citizen like himself.

He told the Nigeria Police that the siege laid on his Abuja residence by security operatives was uncalled for, saying he is not a criminal.

An Abuja high court had on Thursday refused to grant Dino Melaye’s application to order the removal of police blockage on his residence.

Nigerians onboard a commercial flight went all spiritual as they showed utmost gratitude to God after a terrifying flight from Lagos to Port Harcourt on Thursday, January 3rd.

A Twitter user, @saratu who shared the video online, wrote,

“This is what happens when people land after spending two hours between Lagos and PH in a plane that nearly tumbled and couldn’t land three times. Never been more grateful for a safe landing.”

Recall that few days ago, a report was made about an obsessed female fan who was stopped from committing suicide, after Wizkid’s concert in Lagos.

According to an eyewitness report, the lady went into depression because she couldn’t meet Wizkid, one-on-one, after his performance.

In the viral Video ,the lady climbed one of the masts erected at the venue and was about plunging to her death when security operatives rescued her.

Pres. Buhari, yesterday, said those who are calling him “Baba go -slow” are wrong, saying it’s the system that is slowing the pace of his work. .

He said unlike when he was in the military, he has to go by the system as a democratically elected President.

“Fighting Corruption, yes, we are slow because the system is slow. It’s not Baba that is slow but it is the system. So, I am going by this system and I hope we will make it.

I told you what I did when I was in uniform but now when I have to go by this system (Democracy,) where people have to be arrested and then prosecuted, taken to court and then with evidence, we will collect back what they had taken illegally and for doing that, people are calling me Baba go slow. .

I am going slowly but whatever the case, I will not stop pointing fingers at those who have abused trust by taking money that does not belong to them. I will keep on trying to do my best for this country and get back what belongs to the country.

We are going to do the roads, revive the railway and electricity with the little resources at our disposal,” he said.
