It is a big shame and a pity that the so called solidarity walk holding in various cities in the South west failed woefully today. Less than 50 persons protested in each city. my question now is ''Where are all the Yoruba youths and the online warriors disturbing us here? I do not want to go tribal here, but if it happens to be Igbos, We would be seeing tens of thousands of protesters by now. Our western brothers should wake up from slumber because this is about their security.

Don't support evil so that it won't come to your house. Amotekun is unconstitutional and at such illegal. Perhaps, the yoruba elders have realized how needless it is to keep supporting such stupidity. Let's not promote terrorism

Think before you embark on a deadly journey. The north has nothing on Yorubas. The only thing you can threaten us with is the presidency which only the politicians care about. We on the other hand can destroy you without lifting a finger.

Think about access to the sea.
Think about the oil in the south
Think about the revenue you share
Think about the cattle you sell

We can destroy your economy
We can cripple your zone
We can make you look like your brothers in Niger
We can make you not taste the presidency in a long time
You can’t even singlehandedly defeat boko haram
Don’t let me say too much. Watch your tongue boy.
You will loose this warfare. Your elders that are begging know more than you do.

Too many children on here. Too many children. My dear, my posts are not for your like. You are certainly too young to understand and it won't tell well, debating anything with you. But I will ask you one question. If you get it right with sufficient details, then I will quote you again. Otherwise, you will never see me quoting you again.

Here is my question" Can you tell me the circumstances surrounding Obasanjo's emergence as the president of Nigeria in 1999, while also hinting on the contributions of the actors that made it a success?

Lastly, I will advise you to stop using derogatory terms on people. Children that do that rarely go far in life.

For the bolded, may I ask you what unity and country? If you are in your wild imagination referring to Nigeria, there has never being a unity in the shithole called Nigeria. You are one of the goons that make Nigeria remain silly and unprogressive. It is very unfortunate that those who come for equity in the zoo called Nigeria do not come with an open hand. The attempt to raise the issue of trust in the above crap indicts you and Yari.ba. In one instance, it shows you are dubiously mischievous to include "other Nigerian" in your figment of imagination and in another instance, indicts Yari.ba as betrayal artists.

I should be correct to assume that over 90% of Nairaland population is made up of children who barely understand how this world functions, hence my reason for ignoring most of your questions. Sometimes, when I find time, I like raising important points on this forum concerning pressing issues of national effect. Sadly, the mods here find pleasure in deleting them. Is there something people don't understand about me or are you all scared of the truth.

You people say, Nigeria is a shithole and zoo, yet when you travel, it is with a Nigerian passport. You say Nigerian president is incompetent yet when you commit crime you SouthAfrica and the indigenous people kill you for it, you call on the supposed "incompetent President" for rescue. Don't you think you lots need some help?

I will correct you once again today because the time is here. There is no perfect country in the world. Nigeria has her internal issues just the same way European and American countries have theirs. So internal issue is a universal thing. I'm liberal in my thinking. This is why I have some people in my circle who rarely agree with me. But at the same time, I'm a man of the majority. They wait for my opinion before making decisions.

The unity in Nigeria does not suggest that every individual must be satisfied with the national course. Take for instance, Boko-haram has a mission that hurts national cohesion. So are IPOB, Niger-delta militants, OPC etc... These are the elements that can never be satisfied with anything of national interest because they are enemies of unity and growth.

When we warn yoruba governors against creating another group that will soon metamorphose into a terrorist group, we are mindful of the many problems facing Nigeria. Are you aware that a good chunk of the country's annual budget goes to fighting terrorism? If these governors are aware of this, what sense does it make to add to such burden? People should think!!!

Will Amotekun fail? Yes, in less than 2 months, it will cease to exist.

Will "these" people get away with this treasonable act of creating terrorism in the country? No, the punishment for this silly behaviour will be perpetual.

For the fact that this Amotekun nonsense still lingers up till now shows clearly that yoruba elders have evil plan against the unity of this country and we must be ready. I dare say that they have temporary lost their place in Nigerian politics.

Truly, people make mistakes but once they realise, they apologise and make amends. This is what the yoruba elders have failed to do. Even tinubu did not deem it necessary to come out and condemn this terrorism. This has evidently made him an accomplice.

To all yoruba people reading me, IT IS NOT GOING TO BE AN EASY RACE FOR YOU!!

You are about to destroy the trust other Nigerians have for you and this might haunt you for years.

My advice. Start up a political party now and in 8 years or more it will probably be big enough to win a presidential election but you see APC? Buhari and Tinubu worked all their lives for it. I am sure you wouldn’t handover such project to a just anybody because they are getting emotional.

Unfortunately, with nuisance the elders of yoruba land have chosen to become, nothing reasonable will come your way again. We sounded so friendly when we told you to jettison the idea behind this tribal army called amotekun that will soon begin to terrorise peaceful Nigerians but what did you do? You want the world to see how stubborn you are. Wise people do not bite the finger that feed them but being foolish, your elders and governors have done just that. Forget 2023 presidency and any reasonable in Nigeria ever again. And I must add that whether you like it or not, in less than 2 months, amotekun will cease to exist.

Should the southwest wait till they are dealt with like Benue? Should they wait till their loved ones who greeted them in the morning are sleeping in their own pool of blood in the evening? What happened to the saying “prevention is better than cure”? Is the body language of the fg not clear on impunity/favoritism/tribalism? Is the recent cries by neighbors over someone securing his house not an evidence? Or why should your neighbor be angry at you for employing a security? If you think those in southwest are crying wolf on the killings, then you should be reminded that, he wo values something protects it also, they don’t go into the labor room as often as those that thinks human lives are nothing. Let them protect their interests.

There is the police, army and navy. The protect yoruba as much as they protect others. Must yoruba people form a tribal security outfit before they feel protected? Even when doing so contravenes the contents of the constitution? Although, I know that Amotekun will fail but attempting to create is a big attack on unity of this country. yoruba have elders who cannot think but rather behave like untamed donkeys. The consequences of what you have done will be dire. Those who embrace you with love are the people you stab but you call it wisdom.

It is not really the Amotekun the Danfodios are scared of. It is the fact that a Southern region was able to find the needed UNITY and COURAGE to look beyond partisanship and other mawkish considerations by setting up a regional security outfit to protect their people from a govt sponsored terrorist group masquerading as cow herders

I immediately knew it was written by LiePod agents

Cow herding has been a business since time of Jesus Christ and these disputes and killings have been happening in Nigeria since 1999 or before i have posted this thing here before , so to say govt sponsors herdsmen to terrorize other region / tribe is just stupid

CAPITAL NO NO

We have a progressive mentality and we can boast of the most intelligent set of humans in the country. So tell me how the north can defeat the south. You are very right. We are proud of what we do and who we are. But even in doing so, we don't talk or look down on other people. This article does not promote any belief as the Anambra people being the only successful ones. It only seeks to celebrate the great achievement of the Anambra people the same way others can do if they find such people in their midst. By the way, this is a special celebration for Anambra people and not the entire Igbo nation.

This isn't the only time we are hearing ibo this anambra that. well, just want to make it known to you people that other people have achivers too. but we don't hear them talking about it every other day.

The Scientific Ingenuity of Anambrarians

By Emeka Anike Paul
News Tap
29th April 2019

As our old fable tells, it was Phoenix, the fearless bird, that sprouted from mighty tongues of fire to answer a flock of birds who wanted to know what kept it well and strong in the same fire that consumes every bird it meets. He answered them saying: it is not the fire that kills the birds but the fear in the birds that the fire could kill. A fable though but with realistic references, nevertheless! The can-do spirit of Anambrarians has proven that what doesn't scare a man can rarely kill him.

No doubt, Nigeria in general is abundantly blessed. Often do we talk about the abundance of these nature's gifts in the areas of assorted mineral resources and rich, arable land. Sadly, seldom do we celebrate the prowess and ingenuity of the sons and daughters of the land who have successfully inscribed their names in the sand of time through hard work and sheer perseverance. From as far back as history can remember, even before the creation of the state, the people of Anambra are never short of exceptionally endowed individuals in every sphere of life. For the sake of posterity and to instill a sense of unwavering moral rectitude in generations to come, we are spurred to tell the stories of our hard work in this first of its kind event of 100 Anambra Achievers Celebration.

It was not by chance that people looked upon Anambra state at the moment of birth, at the wee hours of 27th August 1991 and described it as the ‘Light of the Nation’. Let me take a pinch of the moment to emphasize that not a foot of the over 4,844km2 of this state is left out in the nature’s bounty – if it is not natural gas, it will be crude oil or bauxite or ceramic that will complement the awesomeness of the arable land. It is this arable land that has repeatedly empowered successive governments of Anambra state to effectively execute different agricultural intervention schemes that have significantly reduced Nigerians' quests for some imported food items such as rice. Since the wake of this, Anambra has positioned itself as the leading state in rice production with numerous rice mills that are continuously fed with locally produced rice, one of which is the 80,000 metric tons modern mill, located at Omor in Ayamelum LGA.

Interestingly, everything that is given in terms of natural resources is doubled many times over in terms of human ingenuity and resourcefulness. We are talking about men and women who will never come to terms with the hopelessness of any situation but rather maintain a glued fist on any dot of green light to make a mountain of genuine opportunities from a situation that would otherwise be considered hopeless. If given a chance to lay hands on clay, they turn it to gold. They take pride in their beliefs and subsequent proof that success is never lenient with sufficient startup but sufficient will to attract and retain it. Barely 50 years ago, these erudite scholars, distinguished inventors and notable entrepreneurs were wading in the ashes of the civil war, which destroyed everything we once had except hope, courage, purpose and perseverance. But like the phoenix, we sprouted from the ashes to remould our world and tell our own stories by ourselves. Yes! We must tell this story because it is by doing so that we will sustain the culture of hard work and reward for value.

In this special period of our time, we look beyond the fortune and fame, even as they are integral parts of reward for hard work, to recognize the true gift from these achievers to posterity. In the area of science and technology specifically, Anambra has continued to live up to what is expected of it as the Light of the Nation. In this context, light of the continent would be most suitable because all over Africa and beyond, Anambrarians are adding lengths to the last strain of technology. In 1989, emulating bees’ honeycomb construction, Dr. Philips Emeagwali used a-65,000 processors to invent what is today, the world’s fastest computer, performing computations at 3.1 billion calculations per second. There has not been any efficient substitute for his computers in weather forecast and prediction of the possible effects of future global warming.

Born in 1954, before the advent of the war, Emeagwali, like other children of Igbo land, spent part of his teenage years in this our land when it was coloured and scented in the chaka-booms of the war, which led to severe economic drought in the whole of Igbo land. So bad was the situation that Emeagwali’s education was intermittently hampered due to his father’s financial constraints. In the face of these, the can-do spirit of Anambrarians was neither wavered nor slumbered. He is today celebrated all over the world as one of the most famous inventors in America for which he has been honored with numerous awards some of which are Gordon Bell Prize – the Nobel Prize for computation. This is just one out of the numerous examples of our endeavors in distant lands.

At home, we have men and women whose efforts have redefined the narratives of science and technology, not only in Nigeria but Africa as a whole. If someone had predicted 40 years ago that there will be a flow of top-notch, indigenously manufactured cars from this land to make movement hassle-free on the streets of Africa, perhaps, only a few would have seen an iota of possibility in such prediction. But this is exactly the dream that Dr. Innocent Chukwuma has brought to reality. And beyond the initial imagination, Innoson Motors is not limited to the production of cars but also have strong footing in the designing and production of virtually everything that has to do with vehicle, which include heavy-duty trucks, tractors etc... But for a man like Dr. Chukwuma, vehicles are not enough because through his impeccable ingenuity, he has already shown the sign of a new thing to expect – this was through his roles in the fabrication and supply of jet parts to the Nigerian Airforce.

I will conclude this piece by saying that the “Light of the Nation” attribute is neither a praise nor exaggeration but a statement of fact. Let’s therefore, live to preserve and promote it through celebrating the bests of our bests.

I have not problem with it if you are proud of what you do. But why do you people make it sound as if only ibo people are successful?

Benscolari cannot cough out atleast the sum of N25,000 to settle three people! Wow! Someone that have been working for foreign Clients ; and these foreign clients sometimes give him tips of $100 ( something he personally told me).
I understand people like him, perfectly.

When I started the campaign against fraudsters ; some people probably had doubts I guess... But as time passed, things are getting clearer and clearer.

I want to thank everybody that took their precious time to comment, investigate, follow and made sacrificial efforts to bring Justice.

I want to personally thank @ LoJ ; who has never been to Nigeria, and wasn't compelled in anyway to see things through ; but stuck out his/her neck and in the process got verbally insulted several times. Thank you @LoJ.

I want to thank the creator of this Thread. He is very enthusiastic about this campaign to rid NL of fraudsters or at least reduce their activities.
