I just saw a pix where a guys girlfriend was on her knees proposing to him with a ring. I am just thinking, as a guy, will it be a normal thing to accept the proposal assuming that is the person you want to marry but she popped the question before you?

Good writeup. I see it as a skill that enables one to find his way and thrive amongst strangers and haters. Just my opinion.

Wars are Man-Made.. I blame Man purely for that.

Sickle Cell Anaemia is Biological, thats Gods Fault right there.

I will leave this arguement here cos I noticed your comments were based on faith and I am not one to fhuck with a Niggas faith. So I will end here by saying Goodluck to you in everything and May your Faith see you through this.

#BestOfLuck hommie.

Thanks bro. I have faith in God and besides cases abound of sicklers being permanently healed. I really don't know why it is so but it's good that God has got my back.

Cheers.

My sympathies for your situation, however dont you think God is to blame for this?

Is God to blame for wars, killings, suicides etc. People are out there who have it worse than sicklers.

I don't blame God at all. If Sickle cell Anaemia can kill me, He will not have allowed me to be born with it. God will never allow me to be in something I can't handle. Ever.

Always with the 'God' angle.. grin

lol..

@OP.. Stay strong, live healthy, eat the right foods and always be alert to your body. Have you folks and Doctor on speed dail. Also, find a friend on campus that you can rely on and also keep that person on speed dail as your emergency contact person. Find a good hospital in the neighbourhood around your school and put them on a retainer.

Live Strong Bro.

Yes o. With the God angle. He is the one sustaining me. It ain't easy being a sickler but God has always seen me through every crisis. So, yes "The God Angle".

Hey Bro, I am a warrior too. The best thing is to nip crisis in the bud. Once you feel it coming on, take the necessary medication or check yourself into a clinic.

To the glory of God, I only had crisis once in my stay in the University. Tell God you don't want crisis at all. Make sure you eat well and also take a lot of water daily.

I take about 3 litres daily back in school.

Above all, trust in God who has given you life and have faith in Him.

If you are the kind of lady that every guy tries to "toast", then you are just cheap goods. You should even evaluate the calibre of people that approach you in the first place.

Romance / A Case Against Bloggers Using Posts To Drive Traffic To Their Sites On Nairaland by Glock9(m): 8:12pm On Jul 19, 2014
I am sure most of us have come across seemingly interesting topics on NL that end up having a link to a blog or another site.

This has become very common and I think Seun should do something about it. These guys just want to use NL's popularity to drive traffic to their blogs which is wrong.

Mods should start banning such topics or even go ahead and block users whodo this a lot. It is rubbish as far as I am concerned.

@OP I take it you will eventually want to get married so I don't think you should keep breaking up with the men in your life unless of course they can't have a partner or spouse who is a sickler.

This kind of thing is punishable under the law in some Western nations. But, like someone said, "when in Rome..."

What stops a foreigner from receiving himself when any Nigerian can take a shit or piss anywhere in the country?

Will this bring back the girls? I seriously doubt it. Its a good gesture but I feel we need more action and less of roundtable talks. (I don't have anything against Malala.)
Culture / Re: Giving And Receiving: Why Is The Righthand Deemed More Respectful? by Glock9(m): 7:54am On Jul 15, 2014
I guess it is a function of culture. In Africa, the right hand is more preferred than the left and I think it is catching on in the West, too.
