How did you come to the conclusion that his usual comment regarding "rent money as dead money" is pushing some people to see themselves as failures? Evidence on the property forum says otherwise.

Na toddler suppose Dey reason that statement.

Like I said then, come in, pay your rents , enjoy what you pay for. When time is right, you’d effortlessly get your mortgage.

“Rent money is dead money”

At least three (3) people here have now shared their very thoughts on Lexusgs430's conducts and I am glad one is a naturalized British citizen (person wey see road well.)

I first came across this Lexusgs430 moniker on a Car thread years ago, had some respect for him but he's a totally different entity in this UK living thread. It's as though he wants to continually bully people and show off his citizenship... While many might keep quiet, jump and pass, I am not like that. I'll say it to his face, that's how I was made. Lexusgs430 moniker deserved to be seen for who he is.

He's also the one who called rent money dead money, almost pushing some people to see themselves as failures because they paying rent. I'm glad he shot himself in the foot and confessed he enjoyed student loans, public funds etc in his early days... Much like a grown cock preventing cockerels from growing. I like the response somebody gave on this thread last year saying something like "nobody can stop new immigrants from entering UK, the oldies should get used to it."

I am not tracking lexusgs430 or have any personal interest in him, but just as he has a right to say whatever, I have a right to challenge whatever. I'm not even asking him to stop, but he should be seen for who he is. He claims he helped people out of depression?? Is that not funny?? It's not only Lexus, the other ones who act as though they sat down with home office to draft the immigration policies too know themselves.

This thread is meant to encourage people, not discourage people and push them to depression! Come off it.
Person wey Dey form agba knower, senior stayer and longest living Nigerian in the uk. Neighbour dash am two bicycle, e no fit dash one here. And he comes to flaunt million credit cards and infinite credit score, quick to “I don almost pay my mortgage” like say e concern my grand papa.

Baba, you no get rating.

Apart from advise (which is even available and open on the net), nothing else you get to offer anybody here.

Everyone who comes here, in due time, would get everything that’s obtainable.

@lexusgs430 try dey chill

I have on several occasions, responded to you without sugar coating anything. Something, many of your worshippers shy away from.

The internet is there for everyone to learn every single thing they need in this uk. Remember I told you “ I no fit bow down for cow because I wan chop suya”

I have some money aside to pay my house rent plus bills for 3 or more months.
The real question I think I have is if the business can comfortably generate enough profit to continue to pay my house rent and shop rent plus bills which would be a little over 2k monthly. More like I want to know the profitability in such a business or if I should do another kind of business.
For me, and from my experience. If I have 20k to start a business, I would only start with 2k. Meaning, for me to want to start a business with 20, I should have at least 80/120k.

You can explore the business with 1k or 2k. For me, I wouldn’t rent a shop yet. I’ll explore other means to sell ( get a social media presence), register the business, setup an online image and presence.

You have identified your market, go for them from local marketing and the basics.

Explore the little ways you can, to start the business with just 10% of your 20+.

Then progress from there.

Hello. Have you been able to resolve this?

I’m having this same issue
Apparently, when I tried registering some time ago, it showed errors, but my data was taken.

My challenge was, I wasn’t receiving the Otp to enable me retrieve my mail.

I opted out of “DND” on my glo, and that was it. The OTP started coming in to my line.

To the seniors in the house, please I need tips and help in this Youkay job market.

I've been applying for jobs basically in the finance field both in the private and public sector but I haven't gotten any invite for interview. It's been over six months and no single interview. In fact the only interviews have gotten are jobs related to care.

I have changed tactics severally, and it seems no positive. I have ensured there is no gap in my employment history, I have matched the job requirement to align with my CV, send cover letters, apply directly from company's website but no call for interview. I have over six years experience in finance and accounting, qualified and in managerial position but even if I apply for lower rated finance role, still no call. It's frustrating the hell out of me.

Gurus in the corporate sector here, pls assist and advise. Is there something I'm not doing right?
I know you have tried all, but just incase yu haven’t.

I agree with Lexusgs430. It is inconceivable that the sponsors did not know that the exchange rate will be unstable. The sponsor can transfer her to one of the private universities in Nigeria to finish her education since exchange range disparity is the issue.
Again, planning is the key.
so, as at 2019, you knew by 2023, pounds will be at 1700 and counting?

I waded in and ask they stop the comparison. When it wasn't looking like they'd drop the discussion, booked an uber and left. The best i could do at that moment. But someone who wasn't there, called me daft for bring such here when this could be something that's mostly common among people (comparison) and we could all learn from not pressuring ourselves with such. Is it not this thread someone ran to for help about him not earning much in his job and we all encouraged him ? There might be people who silently go through this. Nuff said sha. But e pain me say them call me daft, i have the perfect reply for that, but i won't derail the purpose of this thread by going down that low.

You don't have to post all this to the world sir. I have been in the UK since a long time and the world doesn't know. Be prepared for the roughness. Warehouse jobs and stupid care jobs. Be prepared for 3 months of regret sir. You will wish u hadn't come.
Ekpele Sir. It hasn’t been rosy but I’m here to tell you that

I got working, not in care, not in warehouse (with all due respect to them) in 2 weeks of arrival.

I sold my 12 pro max to ad to flight ticket, me and my wife now use 14 pros, paid in cash.

I have also being able to pay off debt of over 4m and also have a few savings.

I also have bought equipment and setup a portable home music studio ( this happened in my first 2 months ) . And I have released about 4 songs (check d minimalist) on all social media platforms.

I also wear Zara and what would have been termed luxury in Nigeria. These are a few of them. I won’t talk about the standard of living and type of living because you fit just choke.

It’s not a smooth ride, but I have no regrets and have a better standard of life, I eat better and breath better than you whole community, including your state governor.

In less than 8 months, I have achieved so much more that I can’t start typing.
Even my family and friends don receive alerts too.

My first 3 months was sweet.

It’s not a soft ride, but my brother, it’s incomparable and I can’t even list it all, in just 7 months.

Na you know the abroad wey you go

Cheers 🥂 you
