How would you compare the incomparable? Look at it from these areas: While Jonathan's daughter is young, Buhari's is an old gag. Jonathan's was a first wife, Buhari's is a fourth wife. Jonathan is educated, Buhari is an illiterate gworo chewing herder. Jonathan has swag but Buhari is a local herder. While Jonathan was happy to give his daughter out to a new blood, Buhari was weeping marrying his daughter to an old man. While Jonathan celebrated the marriage, Buhari mourned the marriage.

My brother, the bible says : look unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith....... Not into human doctrine or church doctrine. The bible also says, woe unto he who adds or subtracts from God's word. God is the God of yesterday, today and forever. No where in the bible did God stand in condemnation against polygamy. God Gave wives to David. Many renown men of God whom God referred to as His friends and men after His heart had more than one wife. Solomon had a handful of them before he encountered God and God did not tell him to divorce them. God is not an author of confusion. You commit a sin when you divorse anyone of them. God sees both of them as your rightful wives. Discountenance all false doctrines pls.

The Bible itself was said to be corrupted but not all message in the Bible are corrupt.

Which part of the biblevis corrupted if I may ask pls? One thing is sure about Christ and whom he is. Your accepting him or dejecting Him does not change His status. He remains the only begotten son of God. A man without any blemishes. Hr fought no war, He did not womanise and lust after woman like your prophet, he did not enjoy His followers to strike non conformists like Mohammed, He did not marry a minor of six years like Moh'd did, he was not poisoned and died like an ordinary thief and wrongdoer just as Mohammed died a shameful death. He was without sin. He is Emmanuel, the saviour of mankind.

It's obvious the former is still referring to the latter in same context. Something like "God has sent me unto you"

he LORD said to Moses, “I am the LORD; tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say to you.”(Exodus 6:29)

It has been concluded.

As for John: " Before Abraham I am" to clear it " before Abraham God"? That didn't flow.

Even Jehovah witness(your fellow christians) don't support it, they know it was misinterpreted by some Christians.

There are many verses Jesus denied being God.

The writter of John as really done good job to portray Jesus as God.

It is that same book of John that the Muslims extracted a verse and misinterpreted it to mean that the coming of Mohammed was foretold in the bible. Here you are arguing the authenticity of the book of John which you so give credence to in order to support the divinity of your religion. How do you reconcile these?

Well well, i used to hold that view before, but not any longer. Could you now please answer my question?

My brother, if the qoran you so believe did admit that Jesus Christ is the word of God (Sallatu Allah) and spirit of God (Ruhu Allah), what is more convincing to concluding that He is God himself, knowing that your spirit is and your word cannot be separated from you? You were taught simple logic in school right?

Religion / Re: I Don't Pay Tithes And Offerings But I Give To Anyone In Need. Am I Wrong? by greatjoey: 10:27pm On Oct 18, 2016
[quote author=CollinsWeGlobe post=50244797]Good Morning my fellow Nairalanders.

I believe my calling on earth is to assist anyone around me, in every little way I can. I do support beggars, support my friends, support my family members.

My question today is this "what if I use my Tithes and Offerings to help those in need"

[b]Will God be angry with me? Will the cursed
Advise please, forgive me for the poor write up.[/quote

This remains a murky topic in our today's Christianity. Searching through the Bible, there is no singular verse that urges us to pay tithe to a church. Also, no verse in the bible where any individual paid a tithe to the church. Abraham gave his to Melchizedek the prince. In Malachi, the early Christians were urged to bring one tenth of their farm harvests to the store house. The question here is that, is a store house same as a church. Invariably, the answer is NO. Again, Jesus once admonished the Pharisees and said: 'you hypocrites, you are mindful of doing the lesser thing by tithing, but the major thing.........You don't do'. From this, it is evident that tithing is seen as insignifant. Tithes in the past were meant to be distributed to the destitudes. But today, it is for the general overseers's use..Through tithing, expensive schools are built and more than 98% of the tithers cannot sponsor their wards in such institutions but only politicians and the affluent in the society. Is that the heart of God when He gave that as a law in the old? In the past, it was restricted to farm produce. Conclusively, ask God for His leading. Tithing was part of the law of the old many which are no more observed as a result of the coming of Jesus Christ. Many churches across the world do not observe tithe. Would you say they are hell bound? Thank you. Offerings and arms giving to the needy are necessary and sacrosant.Thank you.

Yea. I am Yusuf by name and i don't have any trace of Islam in my families. It is common to see Ab A *TOUCHING STORY!!!*

One day, during an evening class for adults, the psychology Teacher entered the class and told his students, “Let’s all play a game!” “What Game?” The Teacher asked one of the students to volunteer.

A lady, Aliza came forward.

The Teacher asked her to write 30 names of most important people in her life on blackboard. Aliza wrote names of her family members, relatives, friends, her colleagues and her neighbors.

The Teacher told her to erase 3 names that Aliza considered most unimportant. Aliza erased names of her colleagues.

The Teacher again told her to delete 5 more names.

Aliza erased her neighbor's
names. This went on until there were just four names left on the blackboard. These were names of her mother, father, husband and the only son...

The entire class became silent realizing that this wasn’t a game anymore for Aliza alone.

Now, The Teacher told her to delete two more name. It was a very difficult choice for Aliza. She unwillingly deleted her parents names.

“Please delete one more" said the Teacher. Aliza became very nervous and with trembling hands and tears in eyes she deleted her son’s name. Aliza cried painfully...The Teacher told Aliza to take her seat.

After a while Teacher asked "why your husband? The parents are the ones that nurtured you, and the son is the one you gave birth to ?
And you can always find another husband!!!"

Total silence in the class.
Everyone was curious to know her response. Aliza calmly and slowly said, “One day my parents will pass away before me. My son may also leave me when he grows old, for his studies or business or whatever reason. The only one who will truly share his entire life with me, is my Husband”.

All the students stood up and applauded her for sharing this truth of life.

This is true and a fact of life. God created marriage for all and its a relationship for life.

Always value your life partner, it's not only for husbands alone but wives as well. God has united these two souls as one and it's on you to nurture this relationship above all other
relationship you have with friends, loved ones and
family.

Before marriage, God first, your family second but when married, God first and your husband or wife second.

So as a Couple enjoy your marriage and make it healthy, truthful, peaceful, enjoying, religious,
romantic and enviable!!!

*HAPPY MARRIED LIFE TO ALL COUPLES *

Before jumping into conclusion , you need to dig deep. There is no smoke without fire. Idoma has a unique tradition. Mourning of a late husband is a serious issue. Why would a husband die and the wife leaves the burial in such a hurry? She is expected to spend a reasonable time at home to mourn her husband. But here she is at Abuja. According to Idoma tradition, she would be accused of having a hand in her husband's death if she left without a permission from her in-laws hence the possible reason to evict her.

Good friends who will standby you (both in good times and bad times) are hard to come these days -especially those with fame and fortune...so when one is spotted, he/she should be appreciated...Veteran broadcaster and 'king of talk shows', Emma Ugolee who is suffering from failure -has only words of love for popular blogger Linda Ikeji who once again proved her longstanding friendship to him yesterday..

Below is what an appreciative Emma Ugolee shared on his page yesterday;

Had been on the phone earlier today with ma sister right here who was not too happy with how I sounded. True to her worries, I was rushed to the hospital on an emergency tip this afternoon. Calling to find out if it felt any better and realizing I had to dialyse, she froze work, ran to the hospital and literally stood on her feet next to my bed till I was smiling.

She left the hospital this late after having amazing material impact on dialysing patients and watching me walk to my car..

So going home now am thinking. This woman has been unshaken as a friend for 16years and in the last 5years of the struggle to stay alive with Kidney failure every time a hand is squeezing mine to say we would beat this in the darkest times, it his hers.

No fatigue with the love shown, no trumpet blowing, an amazing friend as would be readily testified by those that know her at the same time when I can write 10 books on fair weather friends whose level of worry would start and culminate in a 48 hour use of my face for a dp if God permitted it to go south. ....... and you want to ask why I am shouting her name at the risk of sore lungs? I love you Linda Ifeoma Ikeji. God bless you for being a TRUE friend.

Your post does not cover the larger part of Idoma and their traditiinal marriage rites but a single local government where the tradition is derived from Igbo tradition owing to the proximity. Most of the steps and amounts mentioned are considered outrageous in the larger parts of Idoma hence the usual tiff between them and Idoma west (Ēnò ònë) whenever a marriage is contracted between them. Apart from Ogbadibo, Ado and part of Okpokwu local government, other parts of Idoma do not place value on grooms based on educational attainments. However, a good one there.

My brother, I am an Igala guy. History has it that the Igala has so much to do with the Igbo. The inhabitants of Igala Mela have Igbo ancestry. They remain the traditional custodias of Igala chieftaincy title. We refer to them as 'Etemahi'. Besides, Ida which is the traditional Igala home has Igbo background as it it believed that the Igbo were the first sojourners. Every Attah Igala is crowned or coronated by the ETEMAHI clan who has Igbo ancestry. I know my history well. You cannot seperate the two tribes. The present day division was brought about by the British for administrative convenience, to weaken Igala growing popularity in the past, and to make the north more populated than the south.
