Education / Re: UNILAG Thrown Into Darkness Over ₦200 Million Electricity Debt by hayordheji1: 12:11pm On Aug 01, 2021 |
Kwanza: As big as UNILAG, the power company cannot bill them on estimation. There's a meter reading their consumption. They should not sound as if the bill they were talking about is estimated bill. They should go and pay otherwise continue enjoying the darkness. |
Romance / Re: She Is Sweet And Loyal But Her Ex Is The Biggest Threat. by hayordheji1: 6:50am On May 01, 2020 |
Well, I'm induced to comment on this. First, u Ave to understand what you want. There's 85% that she would go back to the ex giving their history and biology. But no worries. Just converse with her. Let her know how you feel about her and that you know that her ex is trying to get her back. Clear her mind that you can't play second fiddle. So, she has a decision to make. It's either you or him. Also be mentally prepared to lose her. Remember that whatever her decision, life goes on. I happened to have experienced something worse than this but today, I'm married to her. I met her in my 100L days... But she said she got a boyfriend in Lag. But she made it known to me how really bad her boyfriend is treating her. |
Politics / Re: NERC Bars Discos From Billing Unmetered Residents Above N1800 by hayordheji1: 10:15am On Feb 27, 2020 |
ikorodureporta: It's much costlier to run on Gen as compare to the conventional light. Once all in your transformer has been metered, Discos will have no choice other than supply more light to them. But saying they will lose Revenue, not likely because once you were disconnected, it means less energy would be drawn from the grid and less money payable by the Discos. You need to understand how power sector works. 1 Like |

I can sense the feelings that everybody is happy Well, let me tell you that the Discos now have the power to also disconnect any customer that didn't pick up the pre paid meters. Meaning, they don't want to bill customers that 1800 and hence will force the pick up of the ppm which is not free. If you don't have money now to purchase the ppm then your light would be disconnected until you have money to pick it up and install in your house before you will be reconnected. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: FG Mulls Handover Of Power Distribution To Siemens by hayordheji1: 7:30pm On Feb 20, 2020 |
The problem in the sector is more than what we are seeing. Giving it to Siemens might actually solve a bit of the problem. Without any gainsaying, power is expensive. To get a stable power supply in Nigeria, all hands must be on deck. We also need to change our mentality of cheating. Average Nigerians want to consume without paying for what had been consumed. Most Pre-paid meters supplied by the discos were being by-passed by the so called customers who want lights 24/7. Even those ones on the credit meters that their meters were read and used to bill then wouldn't pay in full saying "NEPA BILL DEN NO DEY PAY AM FINISH, NAH SMALL SMALL". The fault cut across everybody, from the govt to the Discos and to the customers, we all have our share of the blame. Another thing I think that troubled the sector is that someone is benefiting from this rotten state of the sector. Who are the cabals in-charge of importing generator into the country? Concerning the figures the minister gave, it is highly wrong. In his position, this information should be at his finger tips. Total installed capacity is just about 12.9GW, actual generation is about 4GW. Highest generation in the country so far was 5.37GW. They will only come to the media and gave a wrong impression about the Discos just to absorb themselves of any blame. 3 Likes 2 Shares |
Politics / Re: Man Beats Up IKEDC Staff For Distributing Bills Without Constant Electricity by hayordheji1: 8:06am On Feb 02, 2017 |
Can violence solve the problem of not getting constant electricity? the accuse had to bail himself after he assaulted the lady. it would have been wise to pay whatever he could instead of spending money and time on court case. there are means of addressing grievances of customers against any discos. Agreed that you are giving a bill that you felt was on the high side giving the poor service delivery of these discos, what you have to do is to write to the disco in question complaining about the billing, give reasons why you are contesting it. submit it to them and make sure you have your own copy for reference purpose. if they fail to address the issue you raised, then take it up with them by going to NERC. and I am very sure no disco' s staff can disconnect you since you have a pending case against them. by keeping silence, it means that you already accepted the billing and you were expected to make payment. power sector was privatized because it was not easy to run for the govt as they kept incurring more debt. I have listened to many complaining of pre-paid meter not being supplied. even the govt that can meter every customers did not do so and now u want d private owner to do so. it takes time besides they can only do so if the return on the investment is assured. many buy a pre-paid meter just for them to by-pass and enjoy the free light. the problem lies with all stake holders in the sector. in a nutshell, if you are not contesting your bill, pay up. try not to be like Mr Ikenna to avoid spending which is un-called for. If you have light for just one hour in a month, then you should be prepared to pay for that one hour. Don't let your ability to pay be a function of constant supply of electricity.my submission. 1 Like |
Religion / Re: Akin Alabi Blasts Adeboye Over Comment On Type Of People To Marry by hayordheji1: 9:26am On Aug 04, 2016 |
everybody that has contributed really said sometin reasonable but you didnt see it from these angles: 1) pastor is not encouraging "SURULERE" 2) Pastor is teaching patience to ladies and gentlemen 3) pastor is only expressing his opinion just like the way bro Paul in d bible did however, has anybody thought of the aftermath of listening and following such sermon? powerful man of God lik dat commands authority and his spoken words must be carefully chosen. anyway,by heeding to this sermon, i wont be surprised at all if the following happen: 1) broken potential marriage relationships 2) broken marriages( as a result of loss of job after wedding) 3) late marriages( good for Nigeria economy currently) 4) ladies and gentlemen " una go tey looking for dat right spouse according to our most revered Pastor" just the summary and my opinion. thank you |
