PAGAN 9JA:
remember how many mosques Genghiiz Khan, the Pagan Mongol destoryed. he even nearly destroyed the islamic caliphate and took the caliph (islamic pope) hostage. no Allah or muhammad came then, to save the muslims from the wrath of the Mongols.

There have been only 2 Great individual conquerors so far. both Pagan. Alexander the Great & Genghiiz Khan.

Thutmoses III was greatest conqueror no holds barred. The definition of a real black men if you ever see one! Took the first civilization and made that first "empire" with his worship only for the native africa gods. That is what captivate me on him really! This is a men who like high priest "manetho" looked at race in antiquity definite and fought war after war to let people know that. Mansa musa I will not call the man bad things, like i say " he could not see forest for the tree" still I think we cant make excuse for him.

What do you think about mobile SAMs in reference to the mounted SAMs? Point being why not just have mounted one to reach every place? What cyber system or protection method can guard against enemy hacker? What can be done on radar jam with a weapon like AGM 88 HARM? Military enthusiast please share a thought.

KidStranglehold: I mean the Mali empire was still successful under Mansa Musa. During that time it was way superior to anything in Europe. But its true Mansa Musa did have his flaws. But it really wasn't his fault, it was mostly his descendants that didn't even know how to handle the wealth. So pleep does have some what of a point that some black men don't know how to old on to their wealth for a decade.

Hear you kidstrangle, but with kind of surplus commodities under musa influence gold, salt etc musa could have easy break influence of islam even if it mean finally put some wealth to real use by war. Let us just say the man could not see the forest for the tree.

Maybe he talk about the malindi 1415 they sent giraffe to the emperor of china as a gift.

For certain our history is not failure history how can first civilize history be a failure one? How ever it is hard for me read about mansu musa also and pleep could have some what case with the man wealth.

The way I see them if mali empire is manage more quality then no reason stands mali should not have been the first industrialize territory in africa. Rather early industrialize territory at that! If the man simple had not cloud his thought with so much non sense "go ride camel 3000 mile to worship black rock" better ideas for the improvement of the territory could have fill the void. This is why foreign religion big danger with africa.

Before julius nyerere there was king mkwavinyika

Paramount Chief Mkwavinyika Munyigumba Mwamuyinga (1855–19 July 18981), more commonly known as Chief Mkwawa, was a Hehe tribal leader in German East Africa (now mostly the mainland part of Tanzania) who opposed the German colonisation. The name "Mkwawa" is derived from Mukwava, itself a shortened form of Mukwavinyika, meaning "conqueror of many lands". Mkwawa was born in Luhota and was the son of Chief Munyigumba, who died in 1879.

During the second half of the 19th century the Hehe became one of the most powerful tribes in central Tanzania overpowering one group after another until by the late 1880s they were threatening trade traffic along the caravan route to Bagamoyo. In July 1891, the German commissioner, Emil von Zelewski, led a battalion of soldiers (320 askaris with
officers and porters) to suppress the Hehe. On 17 August, they were attacked by Mkwawa's 3,000- strong army at Lugalo, who, despite only being equipped with spears and a few guns, quickly overpowered the German force and killed Zelewski.
In response, the Germans placed a bounty on Mkwawa's head. On 28 October 1894, the Germans, under the new
commissioner Colonel Freiherr Friedrich von Schele, counterattacked Mkwawa's fortress at Kalenga.Although they took the fort, Mkwawa managed to escape.

Chief Mkwawa exercised an inexplicable influence over the natives who, when the pursuing troops surprised his camp, would time after time hurl themselves on the soldiers, sacrificing themselves merely to give Chief Mkwawa the chance to escape. No scheme for his capture was possible, and no German knew even what he looked like.In 1898 when German Governor offered a reward of 5,000 rupees for Chief Mkwawa's head, there was no Hehe willing to take it. Mkwawa conducted a campaign of guerrilla warfare, harassing the Germans. On June 19th 1898, Chief Mkwawa set his last camp at Mlambalasi on the way to Kalenga to secretly inspect his fort. The Hehe came to warn him that a company of German forces led by Sergeant Merckel was near by. Chief Mkwawa realized that he could not get away. It was the end. But he was not going to be taken as prisoner.

Avoid lot of colonial rhetoric the king committed suicide to avoid his capture then germans later found king mkwavin corpse to cut the head off with them to german. Now it is display at the native hehe land museum. There was film made on him dont know the accurate because whites made it.

Little more than fleet of spears and a few rifles whip a german. grin

King Cetshwayo the last great ruler of Zululand.

On 11 December 1878, agents of the British delivered an ultimatum to 14 chiefs representing Cetshwayo. The terms of the ultimatum were unacceptable to Cetshwayo. British forces crossed the Tugela river at the end of December 1878. Initially, the British suffered a heavy defeat at the Battle of Isandlwana on 22 January 1879 where the Zulu army killed more than 1,000 British soldiers in a single day. The Zulu deployment at Isandhlwana showed the well-organized tactical system that had made the Zulu kingdom successful for many decades, but their human wave tactics and the poor quality of their troops often cost them much heavier casualties at the hands of firearm-wielding, well-trained British infantry. The Battle of Isandlwana proved to be the worst defeat ever suffered by British forces against native opposition.

PAGAN 9JA:

thats because you are black while we are African. Mos Africans are naturally scared of the water.

How are we afraid the waters when we bath on river banks and fish oceans with out life guard. If we dont jump in waters its then that we know hippo croc python or water borne disease are waiting, not because we tropical people dont do what even the elephant do which is water pool to cool themselves. Somehow those white with a modern facility will say no we are those tradition swimmer even though black construct the first pool with filter system. Really in the north pole? Great its a constant freeze and you to dip as a sport? Am I going to trip myself on a laugh here.

You don't get 144 foot ships into ocean by being water afraid. First whites tell us anything and what do we do we run with it like baton. Next they might say africans afraid of heights only because when don't play tight rope across skyscraper even though we construct first skyscraper. Future they might say we are afraid of the fire because we dont walk it!

Nzinga Nkuwu===>King of Kongo
Nzinga Mbade=====>Muchino(queen) Nzinga
Does that rings bells?
There never was a Ngola kingdom.Ngola/Ngolo just means strong.Used as a title,it means leader!
If lubas are so different from kongos,how can you explain that lubas and loangos are almost exactly the same in everything including names,traditions,etc....?Whereas kongo names usually start with a "ki"(kikaya,kikadidi,.....),lubas and loangos names use exentensively the "chi"(chikaya,chisekedi,chibambe,......).The chikumbi which is a sacred tradition of the lubas is also found exactly the same in the loangos.Hoe ca you account for these facts?

Who say lubas "are so different from kongo" what I did say was queen nzinga was not kongo as people do not recognize her as such. First you cant be a queen or king out only thin air. Ngola/Ngolo is ruler ndongo is state. If there was no kingdom of ndongo why is the portuguese coming to to do business with him for slaves? Why him? Why mbandi the brother out of all those? If he is king then what is he king over? Queen nzinga was know by many names just not nzinga such with dona anna de sousa does it mean she now kinship with portugese too? This is not say mubundu did not have the cultural tie with kongo but worth to point out ethnology study of the mbundu places them close south to ovimbundu than bakongo peoples.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Deadliest Black/African Warriors!!!! by heavenlynzinga: 1:04pm On Apr 23, 2013
To clear another up many white places will say Queen nzinga had mbandi son killed for a throne position do not believe it truth is other way her brother actually did kill her only son to the throne because of matrilineal society, he was weak leader and slave trader for portuguese slop something nzinga despise of him much every since slave trader had come to take her young sister.

Mbundus are one offshot of kongo people!The Ngola kingdom (like the loango and the luba kingdoms)started off as a result of Kongo in-fightings!
@kais
Queen zinga versus 10000Ya Asantewas would be a more balanced contest!

Loango were offshot of bakongo people, luba was patrilineal society. Ndongo were a tributary state to kongo only much like kuba kingdom had many. To mark nzinga kongo is not correct how ever she may well had kinship into kongo kingdom.

Yaa asntewaa was good warrior herself.

Mr Kikwete, who will stand down at the next election, in 2015, after two terms in office, has tried for almost a decade to give more land to OBC.

Mr Kikwete's government can earn more income in Loliondo from tourism through OBC - which has catered for English royalty like Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, and the UAE royal family - than livestock.

^^^^ At the expense of people and ecosystem. Wow the wonders of 21century here.

For John Moina, who exports cattle from Loliondo to Kenya, Mr Kikwete's message was clear. The government is saying OBC is better than citizens of Tanzania," he said.

Queen Candace

Alexander reached Kemet (Ancient Egypt) in 332 B.C., on his world conquering rampage. But one of the greatest generals of the ancient world was also the Empress of Ethiopia. This formidable black Queen Candace, was world famous as a military tactician and field commander. Legend has it that Alexander could not entertain even the possibilty of having his world fame and unbroken chain of victories marred by risking a defeat, at last, by a woman. He halted his armies at the borders of Ethiopia and did not invade to meet the waiting black armies with their Queen in personal command.

The Romans met several queens of Meroë whom they thought were named "Kandake" (KAN-DA-key). They did not realize that "Kandake" was simply the Meroitic title meaning "Queen" or "Mother of the crown prince". Our modern female name Candace (now pronounced Kan-das) comes from this ancient Nubian royal title.

The Kushites gave special honor to their queens because they believed that the kings, who were sons of these women, were also sons of the great god Amun. In other words, they imagined that these ladies were actually wives of the god and mothers of the living gods (the kings). If a king died, his wife might rule alone while her son was growing up. The people would worship her like a goddess.

When the Romans went to war against Kush in 24 BCE, they reported that the Kushite army was led by a "Candace" who was "a very masculine sort of woman and blind in one eye." We can understand this strange description when we see how the artists represented the queens. They were massive, powerful women, covered with jewels and elaborate fringed and tasseled robes. They often appear carrying weapons in one hand, preparing to kill bunches of small enemy figures which they hold in the other.

Kamose

The 15th king of the 17th Dynasty was the son Queen Ahhotep I, and the brother of Ahmose I. Kamose went into war with the Hyksos with horse and chariot. His chariots were lighter and more maneuverable than in previous eras. He also had the advantage by having the Medjay as allies. These Nubian forces were ferocious hand to hand combatants that fought in the front lines. Kamose overcame the enemy at Nefrusy and moved into the oasis of Baharia. He then sailed up and down the Nile in search of traitors When Kamose died, either of natural causes or of battle wounds, without an heir, his brother Ahmose I took the throne. Kamose was the last king of the 17th Dynasty. Ahmose I was to begin the 18th dynasty New Kingdom.
