THE SECRET

A year ago, my life had collapsed around me, I had worked myself into exhaustion, my father died suddenly, and my relationships were in turmoil, little did I know at the time, out of my greatest despair was to come the greatest gift. Opening a book from my daughter with a note on it that said it would HELP ME….
I have been giving a great secret, I began tracing this secret back through history. I couldn’t believe all the people who knew this, they were the greatest people in history- PLATO, SHAKESPHERE, NEWTON, HUGO, BEETHOVEN, LINCOLN, EMERSON, EDISON,EINSTEIN….
All I wanted to do was share this secret with the world, I began searching for people alive today who knew the secret, one by one they began to emerge.
Bob proctor (philosopher) – You know this secret gives you everything you want, HAPPINESS, HEALTH and WEALTH.
Dr Joe Vitalie (Metaphysician) - You can have, do or be anything you want.
JOHN ASSARAF (Entrepreneur) – We can have whatever it is that we choose, I don’t care how big it is.
Lora Langemeire (Financial Strategist) – What kind of house do you want to live in? Do you want to be a millionaire? What kind of a business do you want to have?
Marie Diamond (FENG SHUI Consultant) – Do you want more success? What do you really want?
Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith (Visionary) – I have seen many miracles take place in people’s life, financial miracles, miracles of healing, mental healing, healing in relationships.
Jack Canfield (Author) – All of this happen because of knowing how to apply the secret.
THE SECRET IS THE ANSWER TO ALL THAT HAS BEEN, ALL THAT IS AND ALL THAT WILL EVER BE – Ralph Emerson (1803-1882)
You’ve probably been sitting there wondering what is this secret , I’ll tell you how I have come to understand it, we all work with one infinite power, we all guide ourselves by exactly the same laws. The natural laws of the universe are so precise that we don’t even have any difficulty building space ships, we send people to the moon and we can time the landing with the precision of a fraction of a second. I don’t care if you’re in India, Australia, New zealand, London, Nigeria, Ghana, or New York. We are all working with one power, one law – ATTRACTION.
THE SECRET IS THE LAW OF ATTRACTION
Everything that is coming into your life, you are attracting into your life, and it is attracted to you by virtues of the images that you’re holding in your mind, it’s what you’re thinking, whatever that is going on in your mind, you are attracting it to you. Wise people have always known that, you can go back to the ancient Babylonians, they’ve always known this, it’s a more select group of people, why do you think that one percent of a population earns about 96% of all the money that’s been made , you think that’s an accident, ITS NOT AN ACCIDENT, it’s designed that way, they understand the secret, and you are being introduced to this secret.
UNDERSTANDING ATTRACTION:
Think of yourself as a magnet, and you know a metal would attract to you. Simply put, the law of attraction says that LIKE attracts LIKE, but we’re really talking at a level of thought. Our job as human is to hold on to the thoughts of what we want, make it absolute clear in our minds what we want and from that we start to invoke one of the greatest laws in the universe and that’s the law of Attraction, you become what you think about most but you also attract what you think about most. If you see it in your mind, you’re going to hold it in your hands, and that principle can be summed up in three simple words – THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS. What most people don’t understand is that a thought has a frequency, we can measure a thought, so if you’re just thinking that thought over and over again or if you’re imagining in you’re mind, like having that brand new car, having the money that you need, building that company, finding your soul mate. If you imagine what that looks like, you’re admitting that frequency on a consistent basis. Thoughts are sending out that magnetic signal that is drawing the parallel back to you. If you see yourself living in abundance and you will attract it, it always works, it works every time with every person.
Here is the problem, most people are thinking about what they don’t want and wondering why it shows up over and over again. The law of attraction doesn’t care if you perceive something to be good or bad, whether you want it or you don’t want it. It is responding to your thought, so if you’re sitting there looking at a mountain of debt and feeling terrible about it, that’s the signal you’re putting out to the universe, that’s what you’re going to get more of.
So when you’re looking at that thing you want and you are saying yes to it, you’re activating a thought and the law of attraction is responding to that thought and bringing you things that match that. But when you’re looking at things that you do not want and you shout no at it, you’re actually not pushing it away, instead you’re activating the very thought of what you do not want, and the law of attraction is lining those things up for you also.
This is a universe that is based upon attraction, everything is about attraction. The law of attraction is always working whether you believe it or understand it or not, it’s always working. You might be thinking of the past, present or the future, but whether you’re remembering or observing or imagining, still in that process you are activating thought, and the law of attraction which is the most powerful law in the universe is responding to your thought.
Thanks for reading , hope you’ve been enlightened!

Politics / REVEALED! Stella Oduah Got N112m Bribe For The N255m Cars by hilario8898(m): 8:25am On Oct 23, 2013
As the minister of aviation began a new spin today that the two BMW armored cars purchased by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for her use were done on "hire-purchase",
Sahara Reporters has again unearthed new details about the $1.6 million spent by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to purchase the armored BMW cars for Mrs Stella Oduah.
A highly reliable source has told SaharaReporters that the shady deal for the car was done entirely between Coscharis Motors Limited, one of Ms. Oduah’s private firms based in Abuja and First Bank of Nigeria.
"The NCAA was not even aware of the deal until the
minister told them to sign that they had received two BMW
cars ," said our source.
After inking the deal, Coscharis Motors, sellers of the highly inflated automobiles, reportedly gave the Aviation Minister more than N112 million as kickbacks. O ur source added that Cosmas Maduka, who owns Coscharis Motors, pocked N60 million for each of the two BMW cars.
An official at the NCAA corroborated the information that the agency was largely kept in the dark about the transaction. “We were never privy to the transaction and had not seen the cars even though our head of transport was made to sign the delivery note,” said the source.
The source added that the agency has still not seen the cars even after the scandal escalated.
Last week, an official of the NCAA, Fola Akinkuotu, spoke to the media and defended the purchase of the cars. Mr. Akinkuotu said the cars were for the ministry’s protocol pool for use in transporting foreign aviation dignitaries when they visit Nigeria. His explanation conflicted with the original statement by the minister’s spokesman, Mr. Obi, who had claimed that the cars were for Stella Oduah's safety.
A source at the NCAA disclosed that Mr. Akinkuotu felt tricked into facing the media on the scandal. “He had been told he would only appear beside the embattled minister, who was supposed to speak. Instead, he was asked to speak,” said the source.
Meanwhile, a source at the Presidency said President Goodluck Jonathan is not bothered at all about the fraud perpetrated by Stella Oduah, his Aviation Minister. Ms. Oduah had played significant roles in raising money and disbursing same to help Jonathan win the 2011 presidential elections.
Several Nigerians and diplomats have registered their
displeasure at Jonathan’s continued retention of Oduah on his cabinet but he has refused to take any action and the woman is still in office.
In fact, Jonathan will depart Abuja on Wednesday to spend oneweek in Israel on pilgrimage.

Politics / What Is Wrong With Nigeria And Its Leaders? by hilario8898(m): 10:45pm On Oct 22, 2013
Nigerians’ taste for foreign goods has been the bane of the
economy. Many prefer goods and services made abroad to
locally produced goods even when such goods are of lower
quality. This has had a serious effect on the nation’s reserve.
The continued depletion of the external reserves of the nation
and the ever growing army of unemployed youths is as a result
of this trend that has bedeviled our economy.
Available data show that the trend of high importation of goods and service out- stripping export has continued despite efforts by government at transforming the economy. Latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics in the first three months of this year has painted another gloomy picture of Nigerians appetite for foreign products. National Bureau of Statistics figure indicate that Nigeria’s external merchandise trade totalled N5, 098.9 billion in the first quarter of 2013, a decrease of N2, 086.9 billion or 29 per cent from the N7,185.8 billion recorded in the previous quarter. The decrease emanated mainly from the fall in the value of exports from N5, 892.9 billion in the fourth quarter, 2012 to N3, 452.1billion in the first quarter, 2013, a 41.4 per cent decline. Furthermore, a 27.4 per cent increase in imports from N1, 292.8 billion in the fourth quarter, 2012 to N1, 646.7 billion in the first quarter 2013 in combination with a decrease in exports, created a decline in the trade balance by N2, 794.7 or 60.8 per cent during the period. Sadly, instead of Nigeria’s non-oil export rising, it has fallen. Instead of import bills dropping, they are rising, a scenario that does portend danger for the economy. For too long, Nigerians have failed to recognise that the nation is in the wrong business by exporting crude oil and importing fuels and petro-chemicals, exporting iron ore and importing steel, exporting alumina and importing aluminium products, exporting raw cocoa and importing processed cocoa products, exporting cotton and importing garment. This is bad business. Foreigners and economists have always bemoaned the much touted economic growth because it has not reflected on the life of the average Nigerian. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, recently said that Nigeria expends N1 billion daily on rice importation, translating to N360 billion annually. Besides, N217 billion is equally spent annually to import sugar while fish importation gulps N97 billion every year. Nigerians must ask themselves the question; when did rice become a staple food? Rice was in those days a ceremonial food. It was cooked during festivals. Besides, the nation has large expanse of land, why wasting so much on rice importation? This is not all, the amount the nation spends annually on foreign trips by government functionaries for medical check up is equally mind boggling, same is the amount the rich and well-to-do spend on sending their children to schools abroad. Could it be true that Nigeria is cursed as Obasanjo now feels? As Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole said, no country desirous of making economic progress relies on importation. Nigeria has no business importing rice. Is Nigeria really cursed that it cannot get the right policy to address this ugly situation? Why can’t Nigerian leaders think while in office only to be out of office and full of lamentation? Who then is in a position to break the curse or spell on Nigeria if there is one? Who imposed the curse on the country? Recall that when Obasanjo was the UN eminent personality to South Africa in the days of apartheid, he advocated the use of ekpe, curses and incantation to dismantle the regime. Is he saying same in a country he ruled for eight years as a President and about three odd years as a military leader? Nigeria is not jinxed; it is simply in a mess because the kind of leadership imposed on the country is the Fani Kayode type. When serious nations are discussing how to move forward, Nigeria’s supposed leaders are counting the number of women they have slept with including other people’s wives. When other leaders are busy reading books and memoirs of great minds, Nigerian leaders with small minds are pursing women. At international conferences, while others are negotiating deals that will bring succour to their people, Nigerian leaders are looking for women. This is the root of Nigeria’s leadership problems. Nigeria is not cursed; Nigerian leaders are simply lazy and rent seekers.
According to National Bureau of Statistics data, year-on-year, the value of the nation’s total merchandise trade decreased by N1,523.1billion or 23.0 per cent as a result of decreasing imports and exports. A drop in exports compared to imports also led to a decline in the trade balance by 45.6 per cent during this period as well. Crude oil exports stood at N3,030.7 billion during the first quarter of 2013, a decrease of N1,072.0 billion or 26.1 per cent when Nigerian imports by economic category revealed that fuels and lubricants accounted for N506.4 billion or 30.7 per cent of imports, followed by goods not elsewhere specified with N401.8 billion or 24.4 per cent, industrial supplies with N341.0 billion or 20.7 per cent, and capital goods and associated parts with N165.2 or 10.0 per cent.
This is the basic problem; bulk of the nation’s import is for
consumption instead of capital goods that will aid further
production. While one may not agree with Obasanjo that
Nigeria is under a curse, there is something fundamentally wrong with Nigerian leaders and Nigerians. If anything, this is the time for a rethink.

Education / Jonathan Begs ASUU by hilario8898(m): 9:51am On Oct 20, 2013
President Goodluck Jonathan has pleaded with the striking
members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU)
to call-off their four-month old industrial action. Jonathan made
the plea while commissioning the Faculty of Engineering
Complex building of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti
yesterday. Jonathan urged ASUU members to review their
industrial action and go back to class. The president said his
regime was working assiduously to meet the lecturers’
demands.
Jonathan, who was the special guest of honor at the first
convocation ceremony at the University, acknowledged that the
country is facing a lot of challenges, assuring that his
government was poised to solving the problem confronting the
education sector.
”Even to those of us holding political offices, those in the health
sector, the police, the army, the Department of State Service
(DSS), the thinking out there is that we are operating in the best
environment. This is not true.
’If we all decide to embark on long strike ,definitely, we will all
ground the nation.”
The president reasoned that if ASUU members have genuine
and patriotic mind towards pressing home their demands, four months was enough in achieving this.
”I urge every patriotic Nigerian to plead with ASUU to
suspend their strike action and resume class.”I promise to work with all Nigerians, what ever inadequacies
we have with education,we are seriously working towards
solving it.
”ASUU should temper their anger with patriotism.
”Long strike will definitely ground our educational sector.
”If you are talking to government and government is not
listening, or government is not cooperating with you, that is a
different thing entirely.
The president promised that his government was steadily trying
to solve the problems confronting other sectors of the
economy ,including education by providing infrastructural
facilities.
He commended the founder of Afe Babalola University for
establishing a first class privately owned university.
On the demand of the state government on the establishment of airport and federal secretariat, Jonathan said. N400million had
been earmarked in this year’s budget for the airport.
Speaking earlier, Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, made a
plea on the establishment of an airport in the state.
Fayemi noted that the state government had paid part of the
N320million counterpart funding for the establishment of the
airport.
The governor noted that Ekiti was the only state out of those
created in 1996 that is yet to have a federal secretariat.
He disclosed that Ekiti was yet to be fully reimbursed on the
N13billion spent on the construction of federal roads in the
state, noting that only N2billion was paid to the state by the
Federal Government.
Speaking earlier, the founder of the university, Are Afe Babalola
(SAN) said he decided to establish the N60billion university
because of his love and concern for qualitative education.
Babalola claimed that the institution was rated as the second
best private university and number 16 in the country, saying his motive was to provide a world class university.
He appealed to the Federal Government to come to the
assistance of private universities in the country, especially in the
area of research.

Celebrities / Miley Cyrus Is A Member Of ILLUMINATI by hilario8898(m): 7:38pm On Oct 19, 2013
''Everyone and everything is due to change".
This quote proves just how people over time, people change from good to worse. Example is poor Miley, who started her career as a lovely Hanna Montanna star, but overtime changed to someone else.
There is only one reason responsible for this which is - ILLUMINATI.
The signs are glaring and explicit.
No One is perfect but still, common Human decency should be observed.

Music/Radio / Wizkid Causes Stampede At Felabration After Throwing N100,000 Into Crowd by hilario8898(m): 8:27pm On Oct 18, 2013
Last night Thursday, October 17, 2013, Wizkid caused a stampede at the New Afrika Shrine that lasted close to 30 minutes and interestingly, it had nothing to do with his performance.

The Pop star had just wrapped up his thrilling performance at about 3:26AM when he asked his manager Godwin Tom to hand him two bale of N500 notes supposedly around the sum of N100,000. Wizkid then threw the money into the crowd and left the stage.

Wizzy and his entourage immediately left the venue without the knowledge of the near-disaster he had caused as fans in the crowded general public area proceeded to hound themselves over a few thousands of Naira. The fight for the N500 notes amongst the crowd couldn’t be controlled by the stage security. In fact security guards joined in the fight for the money.

The fight led to a stampede and lasted for another 30 minutes. It had to take the intervention of more security officials and show host Omobaba who pleaded for the crowd to be calm.

Religion / Evil In The World by hilario8898(m): 5:43pm On Oct 18, 2013
Everywhere in this world we find heartache, strife, sickness, poverty, injustice and a host of other ills. Why can't men live in peace and enjoy the good things in this earth? The Bible (God's book to mankind) gives us the answer to these questions and tells us how to be born again and what that means. He tells us in His Book that all the troubles in the world are due to either my sin or someone else's. All of mankind is sinful, thus separated from the holiness of God. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
What exactly is sin? If you asked ten different people, you might get ten different answers. Some might say that sin is "doing something wrong or breaking the law", while others might say that sin is "hurting another person or taking an innocent life." Still others might deny the very existence of sin, saying that there is no such thing as right or wrong-- in short, that there are no real absolutes in this world. However, most people agree (regardless of culture) that there are certain actions that are wrong, and should be punishable by fines, imprisonment or even death.
Even the person who "doesn't believe in right or wrong" would have a hard time observing a maniac rape and murder a small child, and say that what happened to them was not a crime. Sin is a terminal disease that eats away at the very heart of this planet. It destroys individual people, families, cultures, even the earth itself. Our world is defiled by it, yet most people cannot even give a definition of the word, or grasp the true gravity of the situation. What is sin? Surely sin is more that ten different opinions from ten different people. Is there any final authority on this subject?
The Bible says that sin is a heart condition. It is a condition of rebellion against God, which stems from pride. The Bible even refers to pride as "original sin." The Hebrew definition of the word sin means "to miss the mark." God created us to be like Him, but our pride and rebellion make us fall far short of that purpose. Our actions, though they may be "sinful" are really only the fruit of our rebellion against God. Our outward actions merely mirror our true inner condition. It is our true inner condition that God is concerned with. He knows the "real you" better than you yourself do, because he sees "the inner man" and
all your secret thoughts and motives. "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." Hebrews 4:13 (NIV) "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." 1 John 1:8 Though one may lead a "good life" on the outside, God looks on the heart. It is the nature of man to look on the outward, but outward appearances can be deceiving. "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity." Matt. 23:27-28
We cannot deal with our sin by "cleaning ourselves up" the
outside, when our problem is a heart condition. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." John 8:34 We are all slaves to our sinful nature, and we can only be cleansed from within.
Since sin is the root cause of all our troubles, we must deal with our sin first if we want less troubles in our lives. How do we get rid of sin? God tells us in His Word that by nature we are "...dead in trespasses and sin;" (Ephesians 2:1) and that we are "...alienated from the life of God..." (Ephesians 4:18). Just as a body without physical life is declared physically dead, so anyone who is separated from God is described in the Bible as spiritually dead. As long as we remain spiritually dead, we cannot know God.
We all need a new life. We need to be cleansed from sin and it's penalty (which is death) and restored to fellowship with God who made us all. That is what Jesus Christ (God's Son) meant when He said we "must be born again" (John 3:7). "...Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). Without the experience of the "new birth" we have no hope of enjoying the glories of heaven nor escaping the terrors of hell. Have you been born again? The "new birth" is not a religion, not living up to a creed, not a set of rituals, nor joining a church or denomination. It's a transformation. Our old nature is changed and we receive a new one. Old things pass away and all things become new in Christ. We receive a new heart, new desires, new ideas, and a new direction because of this new nature. A birth is the coming into being of a new life which has the nature of its parents. When you were born the first time, you were made a partaker of the nature of natural man. When you are born again, you become a
partaker of the divine nature (II Peter 1:4). God can become
your heavenly Father. The greatest attribute of God is that He is a God of love. He loves you and me. He loves all sinners and wants to save every one of us from hell and the terrible results of our sin. His Word tells us, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:cool. "For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" (II Corinthians 5:21). God hates sin because of what it produces-- war, sickness, poverty, etc., but God loves the sinner. God sent Jesus Christ, His only Son, so that we might have new, everlasting life. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the
world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting
life" (John 3:16). By His death and resurrection, Jesus paid for our salvation. He broke the power of sin and death, making it possible for us to have everlasting life. The life of God raised Jesus from the dead and He was the first born Son into the kingdom of God. "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence" (Colossians 1:12-18). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was nailed to a cross by ungodly men for no sin of His own. He was an innocent man-- the only man who was ever perfect and sinless. He never sinned, yet He took your sins and mine by taking an unjust death. Because He did this willingly, He was raised from the dead by His Father
and given life and authority over the powers of darkness. God now imparts that same life and authority to all those who come receiving His provision for their sin. "...the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin" (I John 1:7) We must accept God's Word that says we all are sinners and know that it is sin that separates us from God and repent or "turn away" from that sin. Until we each acknowledge, and ask forgiveness for our own guilt, we will never be free from it. It will eventually lead us right into hell . "The Lord is...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (II Peter 3:9) God wants to give us His power over sin. We cannot conquer sin without that power. God wants to give us life for death,
beauty for ashes, health for sickness, joy for grief, peace for
strife, love for hate. God's Word says, "...I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10). Do you want abundant life? This
abundant life comes only as we are born again and as we follow on and receive all that God promises us.
It isn't always easy following God, but nothing worthwhile ever was. You may be ridiculed and persecuted. You will face many temptations to fall back into your old nature. But you can be assured that God is with you, and He will give you power to overcome every one of them. "But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith." Phil 3:7-9 You can pray right now and ask God to come into your heart and receive the new birth. Simply talk to Him as you would talk to another person. You might pray a prayer similar to this:
God, I come to you in the name of Jesus, I do not know. you personally, but I want to know you. I believe that Your. Word, the Bible is true. I repent for hardening my heart
toward you, and delighting myself in things you hate. I don't want to go to hell; I really want to be free of my sin. Dear God, I ask Jesus to come into my heart and cleanse me of the guilt of my sins and give me the power to overcome those sins. I want to be Your child and learn of Your ways. Keep me from evil and save my soul. I am asking to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord so that I can experience God's love and plan for my life. Amen

If you said that prayer and meant it from your heart, you are
now a child of God. You will need to do four things faithfully every day so you will grow in God.

1. Read God's Word daily.
You need to read and study God's Word (the Bible) every day.
This is how you will learn about God's ways and how to
overcome your problems and troubles. His Word brings
strength to your spiritual nature. If you do not have a Bible,
make your first prayer request to God to supply you with one.
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman
that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word
of truth." (II Timothy 2:15).
"But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life,
purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at
Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out
of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live
godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men
and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and
being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou
hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom
thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast
known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee
wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be
perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works" (II
Timothy 3:10-17).

2. Pray to God daily.
We must fellowship and talk to God if we are to hear His
guidance and learn of His nature. We are promised that all of our needs shall be met if we will only ask the Father in the name of Jesus.
"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do,
that the Father may be glorified in the Son If ye shall ask
any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my
commandments." (John 14: 13-15)
"Seek ye first the kingdom of God , and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew
6:33).

3. Fellowship with like believers daily.
Ask the Lord to show you the people you are to pray and
fellowship with. He does not want you to be alone in your
Christian walk. We need one another's prayers, encouragement, and love to grow in God.
"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and
to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one
another: and so much the more, as ye see the day
approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25).

4. Keep your heart pure before the Lord daily.
Ask God to cleanse you of all sin and impure thoughts and
motives. Satan, our enemy, will try to break our fellowship with God by getting us back into sin or trying to get us angry at God. Guard against this by resisting the devil daily.
"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the
issues of life" (Proverbs 4:23).
"Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from
you" (James 4:7).
GOD BLESS YOU.

Nairaland / General / 50 Things Everyone Should Know How To Do by hilario8898(m): 5:13pm On Oct 18, 2013
Self-reliance is a vital key to living a healthy, productive life. To
be self-reliant one must master a basic set of skills, more or less
making them a jack of all trades. Contrary to what you may
have learned in school, a jack of all trades is far more equipped
to deal with life than a specialized master of only one.
While not totally comprehensive , here is a list of 50 things
everyone should know how to do.

1. Build a Fire – Fire produces heat and light, two basic
necessities for living. At some point in your life this knowledge
may be vital.

2. Operate a Computer – Fundamental computer knowledge
is essential these days. Please, help those in need.

3. Use Google Effectively – Google knows everything. If
you’re having trouble finding something with Google, it’s you
that needs help.

4. Perform CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver – Someday it
may be your wife, husband, son or daughter that needs help.

5. Drive a Manual Transmission Vehicle – There will come a
time when you’ll be stuck without this knowledge.

6. Do Basic Cooking – If you can’t cook your own steak and
eggs, you probably aren’t going to make it.

7. Tell a Story that Captivates People’s Attention – If you
can’t captivate their attention, you should probably just save
your breath.

8. Win or Avoid a Fistfight – Either way, you win.

9. Deliver Bad News – Somebody has got to do it.
Unfortunately, someday that person will be you.

10. Change a Tire – Because tires have air in them, and things
with air in them eventually pop.

11. Handle a Job Interview – I promise, sweating yourself
into a nervous panic won’t land you the job.

12. Manage Time – Not doing so is called wasting time, which
is okay sometimes, but not all the time.

13. Speed Read – Sometimes you just need the basic gist, and
you needed it 5 minutes ago.

14. Remember Names – Do you like when someone tries to
get your attention by screaming “hey you”?

15. Relocate Living Spaces – Relocating is always a little
tougher than you originally imagined.

16. Travel Light – Bring only the necessities. It’s the cheaper,
easier, smarter thing to do.

17. Handle the Police – Because jail isn’t fun… and neither is prison.

18. Give Driving Directions – Nobody likes driving around in
circles. Get this one right the first time.

19. Perform Basic First Aid – You don’t have to be a doctor,
or genius, to properly dress a wound.

20. Swim – 71% of the Earth’s surface is covered by
water. Learning to swim might be a good idea.

21. Parallel Park – Parallel parking is a requirement on most
standard driver’s license driving tests, yet so many people have
no clue how to do it. How could this be?

22. Recognize Personal Alcohol Limits – Otherwise you may
wind up like a charming Alcoholic fellow.

23. Select Good Produce – Rotten fruits and vegetables can be
an evil tease and an awful surprise.

24. Handle a Hammer, Axe or Handsaw – Carpenters are
not the only ones who need tools. Everyone should have a
basic understanding of basic hand tools.

25. Make a Simple Budget – Being in debt is not fun. A
simple budget is the key.

26. Speak at Least Two Common Languages – Only about
25% of the world’s population speaks English. It would be nice
if you could communicate with at least some of the remaining
75%.

27. Do Push-Ups and Sit-Ups Properly – Improper push-
ups and sit-ups do nothing but hurt your body and waste your
time.

28. Give a Compliment – It’s one of the greatest gifts you can
give someone, and it’s free.

29. Negotiate – The better deal is only a question or two away.

30. Listen Carefully to Others – The more you listen and the
less you talk, the more you will learn and the less you will miss.

31. Recite Basic Geography – If you don’t know where
anything is outside of your own little bubble, most people will
assume (and they are probably correct) that you don’t know too
much at all.

32. Paint a Room – The true cost of painting is 90% labor.
For simple painting jobs it makes no sense to pay someone 9
times what it would cost you to do it yourself.

33. Make a Short, Informative Public Speech – At the next
company meeting if your boss asks you to explain what you’ve
been working on over the last month, a short, clear, informative
response is surely your best bet. “Duhhh…” will not cut it.

34. Smile for the Camera – People that absolutely refuse to
smile for the camera suck!

35. Flirt Without Looking Ridiculous – There is a fine line
between successful flirting and utter disaster. If you try too
hard, you lose. If you don’t try hard enough, you lose.

36. Take Useful Notes – Because useless notes are useless,
and not taking notes is a recipe for failure.

37. Be a Respectful House Guest – Otherwise you will be
staying in a lot of hotels over the years.

38. Make a Good First Impression – Aristotle once said,
“well begun is half done.”

39. Navigate with a Map and Compass – What happens
when the GPS craps out and you’re in the middle of nowhere?

40. Sew a Button onto Clothing – It sure is cheaper than
buying a new shirt.

41. Hook Up a Basic Home Theater System – This isn’t
rocket science. Paying someone to do this shows sheer
laziness.

42. Type – Learning to type could save you days worth of time
over the course of your lifetime.

43. Protect Personal Identity Information – Personal
identity theft is not fun unless you are the thief. Don’t be
careless.

44. Implement Basic Computer Security Best Practices –
You don’t have to be a computer science major to understand
the fundamentals of creating complex passwords and using
firewalls. Doing so will surely save you a lot of grief someday.

45. Detect a Lie – People will lie to you. It’s a sad fact of life.

46. End a Date Politely Without Making Promises – There
is no excuse for making promises you do not intend to keep.
There is also no reason why you should have to make a decision
on the spot about someone you hardly know.

47. Remove a Stain – Once again, it’s far cheaper than buying
a new one.

48. Keep a Clean House – A clean house is the foundation for
a clean, organised lifestyle.

49. Hold a Baby – Trust me, injuring a baby is not what you
want to do.

50. Jump Start a Car – It sure beats walking or paying for a
tow truck.

Nairaland / General / Overcoming Masturbation by hilario8898(m): 4:18pm On Oct 18, 2013
Masturbation is a quickly-forming habit that can adversely affect both men and women of all ages. Despite what some might tell you, masturbation is not harmless. If you are trying to overcome masturbation, be assured that it is possible (even though, like any habit, it may take some
work). If you are determined to do it, you will be able to.
This page will give you some tips that can help you along
the way. Determination is the first step. That is where we begin. You must decide that you will end this practice, and when you make that decision, the problem will be greatly
reduced at once. But it must be more than a hope or a wish, more than knowing that it is good for you. It must be actually a DECISION. If you truly make up your mind you will have the strength to resist temptations which will come to you. After you have made this decision, then observe the following specific guidelines:

1. Never touch the intimate parts of your body except during normal washing and using the bathroom.

2. Avoid being alone as much as possible. Find good company and stay in this good company, especially when
you are feeling particularly weak.

3. If you are associated with other persons having this same
problem, YOU MUST BREAK OFF THEIR FRIENDSHIP. Never associate with other people having the same weakness. Don't suppose that two of you will quit
together, you never will. You must get away from people of
that kind. Just to be in their presence will keep your problem foremost in your mind. The problem must be taken OUT OF YOUR MIND for that is where it really exists. Your mind must be on other and more wholesome things.

4. After you bathe, don't admire yourself in the mirror. Stay in the shower just long enough to clean yourself. Then dry
off and GET OUT OF THE BATHROOM into a room where you will have some member of your family present.

5. When in bed (especially if that is where you masturbate), wear pajamas or other clothes so that you cannot easily
touch yourself (and so that it would be difficult to remove those clothes. The time it takes to remove your clothing
gives additional time to controll your thinking and overcome the temptation).

6. If the temptation seems overpowering while you are in
bed, GET OUT OF BED! Go into the kitchen and make a snack, even if it is in the middle of the night, and even if you are not hungry. The purpose behind this suggestion is
that you GET YOUR MIND ON SOMETHING ELSE. You are the subject of your thoughts, so to speak.

7. Never look at pornography on the internet or elsewhere. Never read about your problem (even on sites claiming to
be "educational"wink. Keep it out of mind. Remember -- "First a thought, then an act." The thought pattern must be changed. You must not allow this problem to remain in your
mind. When you accomplish that, you soon will be free of the act.

8. Put wholesome thoughts into your mind at all times. Read good books, scriptures, talks of church leaders.
Make a daily habit of reading at least one chapter of
Scripture, preferably from one of the four Gospels in the
New Testament, or the Book of Mormon. The four
Gospels -- Matthew, Mark, Luke and John -- above anything else in the Bible can be helpful because of their
uplifting qualities.

9. Pray. But when you pray, don't pray about this problem, for that will tend to keep it in your mind more than ever. Pray for faith, pray for understanding of the Scriptures,
pray for members of your family who need help. Pray for your friends, BUT KEEP THE PROBLEM OUT OF YOUR MIND BY NOT MENTIONING IT EVEN IN YOUR PRAYERS. KEEP IT OUT of your mind! The
attitude of a person toward his problem has an affect on how easy it is to overcome. It is essential that a firm commitment be made to control the habit. As a person
understands his reasons for the behavior, and is sensitive to the conditions or situations that may trigger a desire for the act, he develops the power to control it. As one meets with his Priesthood Leader, a program for overcoming masturbation can be implemented using some of these suggestions. Remember it is essential that a regular report
program be agreed on, so progress can be recognized and failures understood and eliminated. Here are some additional suggestions that have proven helpful for others
who have successfully overcome masturbation:

1. Pray daily, ask for the gifts of the Spirit, that which will strengthen you against temptation. Pray fervently, even out
loud, when the temptations are the strongest.

2. Exercise daily. Exercise reduces emotional tension and
depression and is absolutely basic to the solution of this problem. Double your physical activity when you feel stress increasing.

3. When the temptation to masturbate is strong, yell STOP to those thoughts as loudly as you can in your mind and then recite a prechosen Scripture or sing an inspirational
hymn. It is important to turn your thoughts away from the selfish need to indulge.

4. If you ever do give in, don't give up. The worst thing you can do is say "oh well, I screwed up, I guess I'll stop trying". Simply get back on track and don't look back.
Until you commit yourself to never do it again you will always be open to temptation.

5. Change in behavior and attitude is most easily achieved through a changed self-image. Spend time every day imagining yourself strong and in control, easily overcoming
tempting situations.

6. Begin to work daily on a self-improvement program. Relate this plan to improving your Church service, to
improving your relationships with your family, God and others. Strive to enhance your strengths and talents.

7. Be outgoing and friendly. Force yourself to be with others and learn to enjoy working and talking to them. Use principles of developing friendships found in books such as How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale
Carnegie.

8. Be aware of situations that depress you or that cause you to feel lonely, bored, frustrated or discouraged. These
emotional states can trigger the desire to masturbate as a way of escape. Plan in advance to counter these low periods through various activities, such as reading a book, visiting a
friend, doing something athletic, etc.

10. A careful study will indicate you have had the problem at certain times and under certain conditions. Try and recall, in detail, what your particular times and conditions were. Now that you understand how it happens, plan to break the pattern through counter activities.

11. In the field of psychotherapy there is a very effective technique called aversion therapy. When we associate or
think of something very distasteful with something which has been pleasurable, but undesirable, the distasteful thought and feeling will begin to cancel out that which was pleasurable. If you associate something very distasteful with your loss of self-control it will help you to stop the act.
For example, if you are tempted to masturbate, think of having to bathe in a tub of worms, and eat several of them as you do the act. It sounds goofy, but it actually works!

12. During your bathroom and shower activities leave the
bathroom door or shower curtain partly open. Enough to keep from being totally alone, but still giving adequate
privacy. Take cool, brief showers.

13. Get out of bed immediately in the mornings. Do not lie in bed awake, no matter what time of day it is. Get up and do something. Start each day with an enthusiastic activity.

14. Keep your bladder empty. Believe it or not, having a full bladder can cause you to feel sexually stimulated. As strange as it sounds you may find that going to the bathroom often makes it easier to refrain from masturbating.

16. Always wear pajamas at night (preferably ones that tie
or are difficult to open).

17. Avoid people, situations, pictures or websites that create
sexual excitement.

18. It is sometimes helpful to have a physical object to use in overcoming this problem. A Bible, for example, held firmly in hand, even in bed at night has proven helpful
in extreme cases.

19. Set up a reward system for your successes. It does not
have to be a big reward. A dollar in a jar for every day you don't masturbate. At the end of the month you can buy
something you like. If you don't make it to the end of the month, donate the money in the jar to charity - this one works quite well.

Do not let yourself return to any past habit or attitude patterns which were part of your problem. Temptation never goes away. Be calmly and confidently on guard. Keep a positive mental attitude. You can do it! The joy and strength you will feel when you do will give your whole life a glow of satisfaction and fulfillment.
