Alpha Maximus:
Here we go,
S=ut+0.5at^2
Bring over 's' to the R.H.S.
Thus,
0.5at^2+ut-s=0
Multiply through by 2 to make sure each co-efficient is a whole number,
At^2+2ut-2s=0
Comparing with the Almighty Formula, we have that:
a=a, b=2u, c=-2s
T=(-b+/- sqrt(b^2-4ac))/2a
T=(-2u+/-sqrt((2u)^2-4(a*-2s))/2a
T=(-2u+/-sqrt(4u^2+8as))/2a
T=(-2u+/-sqrt(4(u^2+2as))/2a
T=(-2u+/-2sqrt(u^2+2as)/2a
T=2(-u+/-1)sqrt(u^2+2as)/2a
The '2's' in the numerator and denominator cancel out each other and we have a final answer of:
T=-u+/-1sqrt(u^2+2as)/a
Oya where are the critics? undecided
hmmm, can u recheck yr working please? cool

anochuks08: They are used for hard labour and are paid peanuts in return. Eg if you want your soak away emptied. The warders would bring them and after they are done, they are paid peanuts. They are also used in most heavy labour like grass cutting etc
Why? That's cruel, no right in that.

obuksjr: Must you quote the whole comment in order to drive your point home?
His quoting almost drove me nuts.
@topic: that man's allegations looks categorically unfounded. Where wil the inmates get the money to be paying everyday, or wil their relations come to give them feeding money in prison? Certainly not! If it was so, their relatives or friends would have found out and cried foul. What a false accusation.

But she will truncate all these if she is still at the helm. Let her go on suspension and thereafter resume if found innocent after the trial.
Which means the president will also go on suspension for eating financially extravagant food while a good % of the masses smoke garri?
Politics / Re: Jonathan Under-pressure To Sack Stella Oduah by hod898(m): 9:36am On Oct 20, 2013
N255m is a huge sum of money. Due to her negligence in executing her duties as the minister of this sector, lives have been lost, scores wounded and properties displaced. Don't these give enough reasons as to why she should be interrogated? Or, is she scared of death, knowing that some monomaniacs with dirty missions were after her? Its obvious that she stashes up a good percentage of money allocated to the aviation ministry; money that could've employed qualified personnel that would take good care of our planes.
But that does nt mean we'l jst take to crucifying her. She shld b given fair justice. I mean, its not like N255m is the highest sum of money ever looted in this country. What about the senators and other fg officials that hv more than that in their accounts but don't let the cat out of the bag? If the accs of the other ministers and senators were to be investigated and made open, I tell that u will invite Oduah to your house for dinner for been 'generous'. So it shld be properly investigated.

We can only play and couldn' care less of what other ppl think, but to start intimate sessions is a nay. What if some children were watching us? Those are nt things we should do publicly bcoz they're not meant for the public. A peg on the lips or forehead is O.K. but nothing more than that. Hot things like that(french kiss, groping, touching, etc.), when done in public, degrade the moral decency of the society. But ppl hv their freedom, right? So, I just spoke on my perspective.

If our unis are eventually transformed, does that change the rate of graduate unemployment? I support transformation but the aftermath of graduating out of uni should also b put into consideration. Whemdm other sectors also develop, our graduates wil also get more employment opportunities.

Family / Re: Why Women Should Be Financially Independent. by hod898(m): 2:16pm On Oct 16, 2013
Yeah its gud for women to be financially independent, but most men just want their wives to be housewives and 'serve the house' in an annoying way. They just don't care about their wives' dreams. This becomes bad especially if the woman is ambitious bcoz she begins to feel uncomfortable with her husband and tinges of regret lurks behind.

Business / Re: New Tricks Used By Filling Station's Pump Attendant by hod898(m): 1:32pm On Oct 16, 2013
ifenadi: We all know their old trick where they will not reset the meter to start from zero when they want to sell petrol to you. Their new method is what baffled me and this is rampant in Asaba area.

The first time it happened to me, I thought it was actually a mistake as claimed by the attendant until It repeated several times. I visited a filling station in Asaba(name withheld) and there were two persons serving at the pump. The first person asked me, "how much do you want to buy" and I hold her 5 thousand naira. The 2nd guy proceeded to fill my tank resetting the meter to zero and not bothering to confirm the price I want to buy from the lady or me.To my surprise this guy stopped at 1000 naira and when I asked him why he stopped he said he thought I said I wanted to buy 1000 naira( I wondered where he got that message from cus he did not ask me or the lady whom I told I want to buy 5000k).

He then pressed some buttons at the meter as if he wanted to reset the meter to zero, meanwhile the thing still reads 1000 naira before he proceeded(if you do not look well you not see the 1 in front of the zeros). Again at 4000 naira He stopped . I now shouted , bros I told you I wanted to buy 5000 naira. He said that if I add the 4k to 1k he gave me initially that it will be 5k. I was confused but when I insisted that he didn't reset the meter. He quietly completed the remaining 1k. This happened again in the same filling station and that was when I realized it was their game.

I decided to change filling station and to my greatest surprise they use the same trick in Asaba and so many people are falling victims especially those that do not like to come down from their car while buying fuel.
Tch, its not today that I found out that most of them are cheats. In Jos, I went to a filling station (name withheld) to buy fuel of N3000. The attendant reset the engine and put only N2990. Because I was in a hurry I didn't say anything. The next day, I was in a queue at the same station and another attendant cheated someone: he wanted to buy N500 but when the attndant saw the man with N1000 he typed 1000 and told the guy "yay! I make mistake o! I go dey put 1000, sorry abeg no vex". The man had no other option than to pay. The attndnt the stopped it at 990. All the while, I watched silently. My turn and the guy repeated the same thing he did to the previous guy to me. I was like, what the hell! After about a week or so, this same thing that happened to you also happened to me. Now I'm pretty sure that most filling stations are assuming a new dimension. Let's watch it with these guys.
Politics / Re: Boko Haram Has Nothing To Do With Religion, Ethnicity- Jonathan by hod898(m): 9:42am On Oct 16, 2013
With all due respect Mr. President, take note of the Main goal of boko haram in Nigeria; To capture all the states, invite their colleagues from other countries, kill Christians, and thereafter islamise Nigeria by installing their own government.
What I know is that they won't succeed, not while we serve a living God. I know that it is written in koran that all muslims must support the jihad and all, but is this how we'll continue to live? Because all I see is nothing but latent hatred b/w xtian and muslim friends. Talk about the effects of religious extremists.
The thing is that this country would have been far better off if we kept religion in our affairs with ppl aside to embrace peace. Christians can do that with the twinkle of an eye, but can all muslims do that? I doubt.

When someone's caught doing sth bad in nigeria with his talents and is jailed u guys will say the govt is idiotic, that it should've utilised such talents! When the govt does the reverse, u'll embark on vocal crusifiction! Don't u see from another perspective that this mean hell to kidnappers just as civilian jtf and jtf merger meant for boko haram? The cultists are civilians and they know those behind the kidnappings better than the govt, or do u think the govt will just agree on a solidarity meeting without due reason? Don't talk out of ignorance. For me it's a gud thing.
