Lol, no more hiding place for sit-tight presidents and election riggers in Africa. The coup in Gabon has shown that a revolution has started in Africa.

Meanwhile, even though Paul Kagame is also a sit-tight president, he happens to be a good one just like late Ghaddafi. I pray the revolution will first wipe out the wicked ones like Museveni, Biya, Ebola and the rest.

Believe everything you read on the internet at your own peril. cheesy

When the game got to 3:2 I was just hoping the ref blows the whistle. I didn't want Cincinnati to equalize thus pushing the game to PK. At a point I just couldn't follow the game again.

I'm however happy that Inter Miami still won.

BreconHills and totit, this are the type of post I talk about.

The poster is not interested about the live of the person but because it suit a narrative that he/she wants to push.

Everyday Nigerians are killed in the North of Nigeria and Southsouth but you don't see such individuals giving it publicity because it doesn't help trir agenda. But any killings in the SE or SW is automatically given wide publicity.

Want am I driving at, instead of being emotional and more concerned about killings in certain regions, why not put same energy into contributing to the reduction of insecurity in the whole country.

So anyone would walk into my University and start pulling out my file and accessing my transcript

My Ex Girlfriend, My enemies, Blackmailers, Kidnappers, Police would just enter your School Exams and Records Department and without your permission start digging your Exams records, files,

.

To apply for graduate degree programs, one of the requirements is that you request your school to send your "Academic Transcript" to the University you're applying to.

If I'm not willing to present or make available my academic records from an institutio, what is logical to do is remove the University/institutions from my resume. It's that simple.

Politics / Re: Abioye Olajide Is Alive! His Company Paid ₦3.5M Ransom For His Release by Hpesoj: 11:26am On Aug 22, 2023
BreconHills:

Plenty of companies have paid ransom on drivers and support staff. I personally know of several. What is 3.5m to a human beings life? The fact that a company paid the ransom does not mean that they were the sole contributors. Do you imagine the guy will self harm just to do what? Assuming he has self harmed for publicity - why is he not shouting from the roof tops and selling interviews?

What is bad is bad. Let us not ignore the fact that there are no innocents anywhere.

If this story is doubtful what about the military couple that was beheaded in the east? What about the northern woman that was killed alongside her young children? In these two instances, their bodies were displayed in a macabre manner.

We cannot say because some people want to score points against each other we should be silent when evil comes from those we may have sympathies for. Neither should be hypocritical by absolving some evils and castigating others. Evil is evil wherever it springs from.

Your detached cynically bystander approach is no better than those supporting these evil acts.

I'm not saying there are no killings in the East, neither am I suggesting that the video is a publicity stunt. However, I'm always careful with such reportings because of the political undertones that they often carry. They are sometimes influenced by the so called rival between the Yoruba and Igbo. Sam goes with the ritual killings and drug-related topics. If you go through the comments on such topics you will understand what I mean.

I'm from Shiroro, one of the most terrorised LG in the country currently. How many times have you read about the daily killings going on there. Do you think the Bandits on the SW have stopped or he BH have repented?

Those making these reportings are not doing so because they want to contribute to solving the myriad security issues in the country. They're often intended to score cheap political point. Both those from th SE and SW are, unfortunately, quilty of these.

Where are those useless ipob youth saying it's been staged. Una wan go dey sell spare parts for Onitsha abi.
Tribalistic fellow.

Before you make your conclusions, I'd like you to sit down and look at the issue critically. There are a lot of holes in the story from the video to his alleged release. For instance, the guy that originally posted he video came back to say his "company" paid 3.5 million for his release. Come to think of it, which company, no matter how benevolent they are, will drop such amount for it's employee especially during this period. On the other hand, the commenter in the first post also came back and said the man is from his village and his "friends" were responsible for paying the ransom. Even going ahead to confirm speaking with he same friends.

Now, while I'm neither confirming the veracity of the story nore discarding it's accuracy, I'd encourage restraint.

With fake news flying around, it is easier to be a victim when one becomes emotional without verification.

Ciao.

Yet Fg is asking for comprehensive list of the potential beneficiaries.

Na Greek gift to states

Well, the FG asking for a comprehensive social register is not any different from financial institutions asking SMEs to provide business plans/proposals before disbursing/approving loan facilities. It is a strategy to ensure the said funds are put into appropriate use.

Appointment of Maazi Nwike as FCT Minister is another great strategy by Baba Tinubu.

Yoruba has about 50 million native speakers Western and Central Nigeria, Benin, and Togo, with smaller migrated communities in CĂ´te d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone and The Gambia. Igbo has about 44 million native speakers in Niger, Chad, Cameroon, Benin, Ghana, Togo, and Sudan.

But you want Swahili with about 20 million native speakers mainly in East African countries to replace English and French?

Politics / Re: Fuel subsidy removal likely to increase crime rates in Nigeria (Opinion) by Hpesoj: 4:27pm On Jul 02, 2023
Yesterday, I think I almost boarded a "one-chance" bus (korope) at Ajah. The bus (korope) was parked beside the road away from the mini park under the bridge. When I wanted to enter the bus, a man sitting on the first row asked me to sit beside the windscreen (the windscreen was covered with nylon so it's very difficult to see outside) because he's going to drop at Abraham Adesanya so he need to sit beside the door. Funnily enough when someone else that's allegedly going to Lakowe (farther away from my destination) he didn't say anything.

What made me suspicious was the way they interacted when the "agbero" that "helped" them call passengers disagreed on the amount he was given. I already had a bad feeling about something not right about the bus. The thing is, when passengers come and mentioned ridiculous amount he do not hesitate to agree. This is even as he was going to settle agberos.

What further confirmed my fear was the way they were (the driver and the supposed passengers) angry at the agbero when I alight from the bus before it moved (because for his refusal to accept what they offered, they would have moved).

When I trekked a bit further, I joined a bus going my way.

I may be wrong. But I've never had this feeling that something was wrong in a very long time.
