Ghana will from 2018 save some $250 million annually on crude oil imports to fuel its power plants across the country.

This is because the country will by then be able to substitute oil imports with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), of which the former is comparatively expensive) after the Tema LNG import and regasification terminal is opened next year.

oh! am glad the quantum power went through! it has been on the board for a while.. fueled by ingenious investors it seek to wean ghana and the west African region from the epileptic and poor business management skills on the Nigerians part.. tho the WAGP will still remain functional it will allow for a reverse flow.. i am optimistic that the akuffor addo government has what it takes to get Ghana back on track to reflect as the star of africa.

Ironi:

Not true, Ghanaians kicked foreigners out first, way back before Nigeria's "Ghana must Go".

You see, after Ghana's independence, Ghana was the place to be for Africans and they came to Ghana in their numbers.

Ghana was generous because Nkrumah linked the liberation of all colonized states with the independence of Ghana.

.Ghana dished out money and trained many Africans in various ways to expedite the liberation of their countries, so there were many foreigners living in Ghana.

Then Nkrumah was kicked out and later Dr. Abrefa Busia became the Prime Minister. That is when he issued the order for foreigners to leave because he felt the foreigners invasion was too much.

So it was later that Nigeria also passed the same order for foreigners to leave.

You know, I have no problem when a country decides it has too many unwanted foreigners and have to send some away but this should never call for attacking and killing of these foreigners
where are you from, this is exactly what transpired first down in Ghana.

who is being strong headed?
The comparism had nothing to do with Academia or how relevant the university is. Hence my comment was merely within the context the OP was talking about; which is infrastructure. Thankfully u admitted that some naija unis can measure up to UG so what r u bamboozing me for?
at the end of the day you still dont get it.. you know what..? nigerian schools are better..you happy now..??

Statsocial:

Pls tell them o. The university is beautiful but not as spectacular as they claim. And there are many naija universities that can match with this university of Ghana
you see this is where the problem is... its only normal that there are some schools in Nigeria that can match up and thats a fact. but the key detail here is to learn from the strength and weakness of your competitors and use it to modify and improve on your institutions for better positioning.. that what should be done, not disputing claims and being strong headed.. that wont carry you anywhere.

Lmao
It's funny how you're so sure about this misinformation.

Imagine university of Ghana conducting interviews for the about 40,000 students placed.

Because each year, almost every single program gets more than the required number of students they can take.

They just look at the grades and take the best ones.
No need to conduct interviews and examinations or whatever
lol let's not argue about this.
grin something similar happens in maulag grin

You are talking nonsense. This university is not even as beautiful as Unilag not no talk of OAU or ABU if structures are what make a University to you. Have you been to Covenant Uni or Afe Babalola Uni or Landmark Uni? What is the criteria for ranking the University as best in Africa? How many of their graduates do they have doing wonders all over the world. Go to the first 100 companies in the world and count how many graduates of Nigeria Uni doing great jobs compare to graduates of Ghana Uni. Our country is bad because of bad leaders but you should never compare the brain of a Nigerian to the brain of a Ghanaian, the difference is clear. If you give Nigerian yahoo boys the task, they will defraud the Ghanaian government and sell Ghana to Vietnam at give away price.
am sorry but i dont know how polite to put this than to let you know that you sound naive and foolish, first of all the list said number one in west africa, i dont know where you saw otherwise, and to bring in yahoo boys to represent your country in the notion of driving home your message.. have you no sense and moral clarity? is that an economical acheivement?

Most Nigerians attend private universities in Ghana. Its not easy to get admission into Public Universities in Ghana. You need a single digit aggregate in wassce to gain admission into University of Ghana for instance. So you see the difference now? Most of the private universities in Ghana are just into money making business. They don't care about your aggregate, so far as you have aggregate 24 or below they admit you.
i can put my money on the likes of ashesi.. if you are there to play they will flush u out.. another good school is the regional maritime university.. am so pleased to see the medical school completed.. and i heard thats just the first phase

Unfortunately they may be admitted because they've lobbied both Nigeria and Ghana govts extensively.
they are just being smart people moving with the global trend.. a country that seeks to advance concentrate more on economic dominance through trade and not military might, it also shows that the ecowas region is promising but we down here have done little to harness it.. if they are allowed in, the competition is bound to get steep. although their location poses as a bit of restriction. they will be a threat to any country not aggressively pursuing globalization.

You can't always be running from your attackers. Stand your ground, then attack them in return.

Asari Dokubo once said that Peace can only come when there is a balance of force.
If you know that you won't return if you come attacking me, then you'd think twice before coming.
since dokubo said it i suppose the niger delta has been living in peace and tranquility.

Music/Radio / Re: Why Do African Artistes Find It Hard To Break Into The Nigerian Market? by iamord(m): 7:32pm On Feb 19, 2017
i have also noticed this, from my observation, i discovered that there are a few things owing up to the difficulty of African musicians penetrating into the Nigerian market... Nigerian market is already saturated but despite the fact.. there are a lot of African songs that are supposed to top the chart, and if you have the right vibe it will sell. .some of the problems are..
poor branding and online media presence, Nigerians are more aggressive in getting their name out there through their brand. you can see it from Instagram, twitter to their you tube views.. they ensure there is a strong engagement that could rival the ones in the western world hence getting more attention.
they spend money to get money!
non competitive music tv/radio from their region stations to air their music across borders,as it stands we have names like mtv base , sound city channel o and trace moving the pack.
artist making music to suite local market only,
weak and medicore artist managemet
also Nigeria seems to have bought in mtv and trace.. so any artist wanting to break needs to needs to act constructively and get connects for that massive airplay

invisible monsters living in your tap water, creatures

tiny demons that…well, okay, they’re actually not all
that bad. All water has bacteria and protozoans to some
extent, most of them completely harmless. But once you
see what they look like up close and personal, you might
never get the image out of your head. Here are 10
microorganisms that could be living in your drinking

So, killing your nephew, children, wives and other people in movies is his own idea of "having pedigree".

Or is it not the same Nollywood that has produced movies where the evil wife tastes the food she just poisoned just to kill her husband even though she doesn't die but the husband does?

The same nollywood where a car and it's driver have an accident on a lonely street.

Where ghosts look left and right before crossing the street

The same movies that never have a defined ending filled with witches and wicked mothers and uncles

Oh please undecided

MrPresident1:
Nigeria is the country with the largest population of dark skinned/black people in the world. Ancient Israelites were a dark skinned people. Only a dark skinned person goes darker/black when in a state of prolonged distress and suffering.

Job 30:30
My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.

Lamentations 4:8
Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick.

Lamentations 5:10,
Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.

The ancient Israelites were scattered and dispersed to the world in 70AD when Jerusalem was conquered and destroyed by the Romans. The original Israelites of the Bible do not even know themselves, they have been disconnected from their heritage.

Deuteronomy 32:26
I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

It is not farfetched to conclude that, Nigeria, is the country with the largest population of ancient Israelites in the world.

This is the historical preamble to this thread.
