OMO, Congrats!!! You going for Msc right?
adaokafor:

It is even possible to get it in 5 working days. Someone has testified before. My observation, if you are very straight forward with the Germans, they would be very straight forward with you. Prepare well, be clear, have all your documents and the road ahead of you will be without bumps. The reason why some applications take so long is when you give them reasons to question your integrity and if you are actually going for what you claim to be going for.

Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 7:54am On Jan 10, 2018
Hannover, if you apply via Gottingen, it's on Gottingen portal you'll submit application and pay just 40 euro as evaluation fee
Jigba:

There's specifically no 'easy' studienkolleg to get into

Why was your Darmstadt application rejected? Mine was accepted and they replied me fast. Though I won't go for the entrance exam.

Have you heard of uniassist? Some Studienkollegs are under uniassist.

I would recommend Studienkolleg Frankfurt and Studienkolleg Hannover, but both require you to apply through uniassist which cost about 75€ for an application and additional 15€, if you would apply to both
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 7:52am On Jan 10, 2018
Sheisse, try Hannover, apply to Uni Gottingen or any other university in Lower Saxony, they'll accept you and transfer you to STK, I applied with A2, I got invitation, my exam is march 2. I'm so sorry
janna01:
Damstadt rejected too. not early, I meant easy. My parents are complaining. I really don't want to miss school.

It's good you applied for student Visa, I'm sure you'd get it soon, try to contact them.

My mom applied for a multiple entry visa for the purpose of visiting us and also for some business she will be doing later on. I didn't do the language course in Lagos because I can't stay there for a long period of time, I don't have a home there. The visa I and my sister applied for is a student visa.

My mom spoke to someone who suggested that we send emails to the embassy reminding them of our application and letting them know that our program begins on the 8th of January, do you think this is a good idea?
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 11:09pm On Dec 31, 2017
Never give up sister, dates still plenty in January check around 11:40-12:20 You'll see new dates, keep checking till around 12:30 I cancelled December, Got January, a friend didn't have at all she got 5th. get your Surname, name(s) email and passport number ready, you have to be quick about it, I'm booking for someone, I won't pity you hahaha grin grin grin grin
empressonassis:
Hello guys. Please does anyone have any idea on how to request for a refund of school fees already fully paid to a school in Germany that is not tuition free? The school is IUBH Berlin, and it is a private university which cost quite some amount of money. I got admission to study Masters in Human Resources management and my Start date is 1st of March, 2018. I still have not been able to book an appointment with the embassy for my interview and since I may not get a date in January which is 6weeks before my start date, I have decided to just ask for a refund of my school fees and apply to another school in another country. cry cry

You don't have to certify any document for your visa interview.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 8:08am On Dec 28, 2017
Hallo.

Do I need to certify my documents before going to the embassy, I have admission already, I think certification of documents is necessary only for university application.

What's your opinion on this? thanks.

Best regards.

Can get you admission into a pre-university college where you do two semesters like A levels then write an exam to enter main university, if you're doing this, you have to learn German at least up to B1 level to apply which will take you about 11 months at the Goethe Institut Lagos, other German schools may not take this long, Goethe is the German Language and Cultural Centre throughout the world, new classes at the Goethe Institut starts soon, registration is on 2nd of January if you're interested, you have to pay 55,000 Naira incl. textbooks and course fee, this 55k is only for a level of German, to get to B1, you need to pay it 3x, but you pay per level not at once.

Alternatively, do 100L here in Nigeria, it must be the same or related to what you want to study in Germany write IELTS/TEOFL inc ase you'd like to study in English in B.A. level, courses in English are hard to find, but they exist. or learn German to B1 level, once the school admits you, they'll enroll you into a Language preparatory course to enable you reach C1 level at the university, this course might take 6 months, you'll write an exam after the language course, the exam is a proof that you can now follow lectures in German. I wish you success bro

Funny you! Actually what I did during my own time was that I went to a primary health center in one of the local govts in Lagos and liaised with one of the nurses to help me with one of their OLD vaccination cards for babies. With my money speaking, she dug into their archives and brought it out. Gave her my details and she filled it accordingly. If you saw how OLD the card was looking ehn....

I went to that extent 'cos I hate stories that touch.

All the best pal.

Hallo leute, I decided to take a break. I think I have all my documents now, I'm preparing towards the interview, one thing that is missing is my Biographically old document, honestly speaking (typing) grin, I don't know what to do about this document, the embassy don't wanna say anything whenever I ask if I can do without it, I don't wanna do any Shaku Shaku something grin grin to be on a safer side, has there been anyone who got their visa without providing this document? can someone please, advise me on what to do, Danke.

Best regards.

Good Morning, if you think you have booked your appointment wrongly, please, contact the embassy.

The day I was filling my Appointment booking details, I added my phone number where passport number should be, thanks to Jigba who advised me to contact them and also booked another appointment on my behalf for January 31st (looks too late though, aber was kann man tun? grin nichts), I contacted the embassy by mail, I was shocked to hear;

Dear Sir / Madam,
no appointment has been booked with the mentioned email address.
Sincerely yours,

I think you're good to go and can study in English use www.daad.de to search if this course is available in English, you might need to submit proof of English certificate like IELTS/TEOFL check first, schools like Hochschule Rein Waal University of Applied Sciences should have it in English, I think they now pay 1500 euro in that school, most courses are taught in English. visit school website by clicking this link: https://www.hochschule-rhein-waal.de/en and please, contact the school admission/international office, inform them about your situation before applying so it won't result to waste of time and resources, application is via Uni-assist
