Stimmt
Blackanada:

You don't need to read everything, but you can use the search feature of Nairaland or even google, and in less than 30minutes you'll know most things you need to know.

In German education system there's no handholding, it's swim or drown. You need to learn to be able to research stuff on your own if you want to survive the education system there.

No appointments again, wow!, I have to be ready to take the one I've already booked, what's gonna happen if one doesn't have documents older than five years?

Thanks, I'll mail you.
Jigba:

Yes, talk about the course in your motivation letter
Some Studienkollegs give automatic admission once you are done with the studienkolleg
An admission Letter to studienkolleg is not synonymous with an admission letter to university

A friend of mine wrote his Letter of motivation in German. Just talk about the course. Google is there to help you smiley

Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 5:32pm On Dec 13, 2017
Elders, help me chuck eye inside this matter

warte mal, for we studienkolleg (Preparatory college) goers, in our letter of motivation, should we talk about the course in the admission letter? it has just been made clear to me that after passing my studienkolleg final exams, I still have to re-apply with the result from studienkolleg.

No 1, it's not my desired course that I applied for, I applied just for the purpose of taking the exams, so I can do Humanities related course afterwards, like Journalism/Media Studies/International Relations, writing a letter of motivation for the English Philology has been very difficult, cos I don't know what to write, it's not part of the plan sad sad

Message I got from my uni after sending an inquiry:

Dear Mr. Kokumo,

This is a misunderstanding. You don´t have an admission – you have an invitation for the entrance examination for Studienkolleg. Within this process you don´t need to choose two subjects as you first have to attend to Studienkolleg and to pass the Feststellungsprüfung.

Afterwards, you need to apply again at the University - for studying at the University. Only at this point, you need to choose two subjects if you apply for a Bachelor 2-subjects.

Bros, must any of this document have my picture on it?
donkafor:
If you have library card, course registration form, vaccination card, local government registration etc older than 5 years,
you can add it. Submit all docs available to you.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 9:04am On Dec 12, 2017
Dankeschon, I have the two, it can't even be separated, the Uni works with the Studienkolleg
Lammydamsel:
Bitte, use uni. Some folks have gone for their interview with an admission letter from Studienkolleg, only for the consulate to mail them day/s after that they should mail them the admission letter from the university.

Kleinefrau:
How I wish, I had gotten an earlier date like December, and how I wish I was to book for student visa... The long term visa for non student is not available for December, and I would have loved to book for December not January... My work is starting February and it's kind of giving me concern... I hope I will still be able to get available dates in december so that I can reschedule

Get your scratch card ready, when they've checked your docs, they'll tell you to send it, i sent one with my applicantion, they didn't use it i think, so wait till they request. Get scratch card at www.4ward.ng

Everything is done online

Hello, does it matter.if your sponsor isn't your relative?
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 11:33pm On Dec 07, 2017
Thanks brother, noted.
dailydolar:
wel you can do interview without funding block account theres no issue with that one sha but for sponsor letter what are you waitibg for ask the person to start the process immediately if you have your admission letter if possible you can even go along with it for your interview. I dont think theres any difficukties with sponsor letter it serve the same purpose as blocked account and scholarship so feel free to use any. I dont think sponsor letter should not take more than 2weeks all thing been equal.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 7:17pm On Dec 07, 2017
Guys, Ich habe ein problem grin grin grin grin My Interview is on 28th December, I haven't funded my blocked account yet, was told to tarry awhile in other to get the Financial commitment, so, I do not know, when I'll be getting the 8640 euro.

I heard a rumour, that one can have the interview without having funded the account, but the embassy would give a time in other to get it funded, after the interview.

So, since I'm not sure when I'll fund my account, I have someone in Germany who may be able to write me a sponsorship letter, do you think I should request this before it's too late and still get my account funded?

Also, what are the difficulties one may encounter using Sponsorship letter at the embassy and how long will it take my sponsor to obtain this? I'm asking so I'd know when to request.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to your kind responses.
