I'm just been concerned about the decimal placement. I think I will sure need the Lacombe to refresh my memory on Naija currency. grin

RealityShot:
Treasury bills is still more favourable than that bond even at 10%.

why?
when you get your interest upfront, you can reinvest for more profits. But the bond pays interest every 3 months which will only be a fraction of what treasury bill holder gets upfront.

the only other option right now is EQUITY FUNDS

When rates are dropping just as we have now, it is better to lock in funds with a longer plan. I try to spread my investment. I have savings bond of over 14% locked for 3years. I invest in stock, treasury bill, savings bond, MMF......

Yes, you get the government official rates, if you buy from primary market.

Again not totally correct. Sometimes you get better rate from the secondary market (considering tenor and some other factors)

Are the rates better for people who buy from the primary market?

You can get cleared going through the Tbill thread

Kindly recall our communication of 22 March 2018 informing the market of the temporary suspension of trading in the shares of UNIC Diversified Holdings Plc (UNIC) due to an observed trading anomaly. Please be informed that the suspension was lifted effective 3 April 2018.
In addition, we have placed a minimum price floor of N0.20K on all Category C Band securities. Thus, the prices of all securities that are in this Category will not fall below N0.20k. Prior to the 22 March suspension, UNIC was priced at N0.18k. In line with the new Category C Band floor, UNIC's price was adjusted to N0.20K at the time the suspension was lifted.
The foregoing is for your information. Additional communication will follow as appropriate.

Converting paper profit to capital is a sure way to preserve profit and increase capital.
Made over ×3 of my capital between January2017 till today.
I have converted half of the profit to capital.
Thanks to every one on this thread for your contributions. Special thanks to fxuser and Currentprice. I will send you a little token by weekend.

please how exactly is it calculated? is the 11% interest for 2years paid every quarterly like one gets 11% of money deposited 4 times every year or how is it done?

The rate is per annum.
Assuming the rate for 2years is 10% and you invest 1,000,000
1year = 100,000
2years = 100,000×2
quartely =100,000÷4
You will get 25,000 per quarter for the period of 2years (25,000×cool and your capital at the end of the tenor

Please advice.

My stockbroker submitted my bid form without a cscs account number, because it haseems not been generated yet.

Also, am I supposed to get a bond certificate or just monitor my cscs account (according to them would soon be open) as they told me.

I dont think it will go through without the cscs account.
Maybe they are sure the account will be opened before they submit to DMO.
OR
They can buy and sell back to you through the secondary market when the account is opened.
