An upcoming comedian know as mc freedom got more than he bargained for when a prank went horribly wrong in Ibadan.

In the skit, he dressed as a native doctor and said he needed to use a young lady who was a virgin for ritual purposes.

All efforts by him and his camera crew to convince those around him that it was a prank fell on deaf ears as the market women and passers-by pounced on him.

He was beaten mercilessly and received deep cuts inflicted by a machete as the crowd descended on him and he almost got lynched in the process.

These so called pranksters need to be careful as the current security situation in Nigeria means no one is in the mood for these type of so called pranks.

Suspected Fulani Bandits have attacked Igangan and killed 15 people, burning down a petrol station and the Oba's Palace in the process.


Some gunmen have invaded Igangan town in Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State, causing heavy damages in the town, The Vent Republic gathered.
The Vent Republic learnt that the gunmen who were suspected to be Fulani herdsmen invaded the town around 11.pm on Saturday and left the town around 3.am on Sunday.


A Daily Post correspondent gathered that during the invasion, several residents of the town were killed.


Sources within the town told DAILY POST Sunday morning have maintained that the number of lives lost during the invasion have not been ascertained.


The residents claimed that it was Fulani herdsmen that invaded the town, though it has not been confirmed if it was Fulani herdsmen that invaded the town as claimed by the residents.


Oladiran Oladokun, Convener of Igangan Development Advocate (IDA), confirmed the attack to DAILY POST on Sunday.
Oladokun who confirmed the killing of many residents during the attack, however, said that the number of casualties have not been confirmed.


He alleged that the invasion was due to the banishment of the Seriki Fulani in the town.
He added that Fulani herdsmen had been threatening to attack the town since the Seriki Fulani was banished from the town.

“Are you calling in respect of Iganga incident? That is how we saw it.
“It was the Fulani herdsmen that have been threatening to come and attack Iganga because of the Seriki Saliu that we sent away from the town.


“So, we have been receiving threats and they carried out their threat midnight.
“They operated between 11.pm on Saturday till around 3.am today (Sunday).


“We can’t count casualties now because it was not safe for anybody to come out now.
“So, it was during daybreak that some people are coming out from bushes where they ran to. We are still counting.”

Four police officers and three civilians have been killed in two separate attempted robbery attacks on two banks in Ikire/Apomu areas in Osun state on Wednesday, June 2 at about 6.10pm.

 

A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin, said the armed robbers numbering about Thirty-five(35) came in about Five(5) Vehicles, first attacked the Ikire Divisional Police HQ and the Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) pinned down at Ikoyi-Osun with several explosive devices and several gun, firing in a bid to subdue the capacity of the Police while attempting to rob the banks.

''On sighting the overwhelming Policemen Comprising prompt response Response Unit (PRU), CP's Surveillance team, IRT Operatives, STS, 39 PMF, JTF, along with the local Security outfits, who swiftly engaged them in a fierce gun duel, the robbers began to flee.

While escaping, they shot sporadically, and regrettably three (3) Civilians were shot namely; Toheeb Oyebola, Temilorun Adebiyi and one other, (whose identity is not yet known), all male.

They did not succeed robbing any of the Banks.''

She gave the names of the police officers killed during the attack as ASP Osho Oluranti, Inspector Lekan Olalere, Two (2) Special Constabularies; namely Oladeni Olalekan, and Oyedeji Muyideen.

 

The police spokesperson added that the bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited at Oluyoro Catholic Hospital morgue, Apomu while efforts are being made to apprehend the fleeing suspects.

CDQ was captured by men of the anti-narcotics agency at his Lekki home.

Ondo: 80-year-old woman, granddaughter arrested for 192kg cocaine possession

The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Ondo has arrested an 80-year-old woman, Mary Adebayo, her 19-year-old granddaughter, Funmilola Adebayo, for selling assorted illicit drugs like cocaine.

This was made known in a statement released to newsmen by Femi Babafemi, the spokesperson of the agency.

Babafemi said the operatives carried out a raid on the suspects’ residence after a credible intelligence.

According to him, the operatives seized over 192kilogrammes of cocaine and other psychoactive substances from the suspects

A close-circuit Television footage watched by Saturday PUNCH has revealed that Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha, kissed and fondled sensitive parts of the body of the 14-year-old girl in the care of popular comedienne, Adekola Adekanya, otherwise called Princess.

Not done, Omiyinka, while engaging in the act, was also seen licking the fingers on the left hand of the victim and caressing the minor’s legs and thighs with his left hand.

In an apparent effort to sexually arouse the minor, Omiyinka was seen lifting the victim’s dress as he caressed the minor’s body.

Our correspondent who obtained the footage observed that the minor was dressed in a sleeveless gown as she sat on a sofa in Adekanya’s residence. Omiyinka wore a white shirt, a pair of blue jeans and a hat.

Shortly after Adekanya stepped out, Omiyinka, who also sat beside the victim on the same sofa, was seen using his hand to caress the victim’s left arm.

Before Omiyinka started the act, the comedienne was seen leaving her apartment with three others, leaving Omiyinka and the victim in the parlour to see off the guests. After Adekanya left the apartment, Omiyinka was shown by the footage searching the rooms.

Meanwhile, Omiyinka was seen in another footage remorsefully pleading to Adekanya, and some other persons, who reportedly caught him sexually assaulting the minor in the parlour.
