Remember that dude that came here almost spamming about no acknowledgement mail or SMS after paper submission? Yes that same guy is me...
I still never got acknowledgement mail but I tried sending multiple correction mails to CIC as advised that I needed to advice my self to stop to avoid been seen as desperate... All that was done to forestall future mistake as I confirmed from VFS that a letter was ommited.

My medical mail was the first CIC mail I saw in my box from them and it dropped on the 14th of March with a 14 days ultimatum to report for medicals. I chose to do it in PH and went on the 23rd.

Finally, to Hod be the glory, Approval mail dropped yesterday on the 29th.

I applied via paper route on 25th Feb tho on Lagos.

Guess CIC now has faster processing.

Oh yeah, just change the masters prog to undergrad,
Make sure u explain vividly y u want to study in Canada, even if the course is offered in Nigeria, state an advantage studying it over there will add to ur portfolio.. Dont start saying it will improve ur employment status wen u return. Maybe something like the curriculum is different, the course in CAD has added this and that which is not part of the curriculum here in naija.
OK ermm,
1. I feel like it's an SOP FOR ADMISSION, Nonetheless, elaborate on the point I stated, also use the SOP as a way to let the VO KNOW OF UR HOME Ties here in Nigeria.
2. Don't over degrade ur country I think it sounds desperate.

University of Toronto has a designated learning institution number_________.
2. Other things can fall into place after this.
Just my 2 naira, work on ur introduction, this could b helpful.

Good evening, I submitted by application for study permit through the paper route last week. My question is I haven't received any mail from cic, although I received a text message that day from vfs. Also when I track the app, it says it's been transferred to the visa office in Accra.
Please is this normal or this is how it is for paper route.

so that's y my advice is photocopy all then go with both ur photocopies and the originals.just so u have ur bases covered.

Nb ....just make sure to be on the safe side by making photocopies of all your documents and going along with both your originals and photocopies....and hold extra money for miscellaneous expenses.my advice is go there with 50k.

Hello, my letter of admission contains most of the information required from the IMM 5483 check list, but it does not contain start and end date and tuition per semester. Please if I I submit it like that would it cause any problems or I should just request for another admission letter. In my letter of admission from Ottawa it stated clearly that "no more official documents will bb provided for the immigration as all the information is contained in the letter"

Basically, calculate how much your tuition for a year is (i.e tuition for two terms), + $10,000cad (room & board) + others (let's assume $5000cad), the total should be your total funds available.
Have your uncle declare a little above that sum (the total funds available we just calculated) as money to be given to you per year in his sponsor letter.
Mind you, his account should reflect the declared sum preferably with a handsome leftover in the account.
Then let him write a heartfelt and convincing letter preferably dripping with emo detailing why he's sponsoring his dearest nephew bla bla bla.

Anyways, for paper applicants, I am aware we are meant to take the application fee money to vfs,. Are we going to do the biometrics that same day we pay like online applications.

If your scanned documents (especially the financial ones) are blurry, then either you need to come up with a better scanning/compression strategy, or use the paper route. With Adobe Acrobat Pro, it is a bit easier to convert documents to PDF without losing too much quality, assuming you directly scanned the files to TIFF or TIF format (scanned at a tatami currently working300dpi) in the first place. After converting TIF/TIFF to PDF you can further compress the file by re-distilling it, a process which removes unnecessary junk data that doesn't help image quality. This works like magic!

Nonetheless, from your previous posting the main issue I see is that your sponsor's company is sponsoring you yet they didn't give a convincing reason why. VOs are smart and mostly rational; anything that doesn't make sense will cast considerable doubt on the credibility of your application, thus likely leading to a denial. Fix your sponsorship issue.

Hello, seiraries, I read ur abt reasons for denials and solutions. I thank you for that cos I have seen some of my flaws but my question is, my sponsor has 33M as closing balance that is abt cad$200000 but I filled 37000 as funds available, was I meant to feel the whole amount or just that. Since the SOA I submitted was abt 30pagesit was blur cos I didn't find any app to compress it appropriately and he didn't state in his sponsorship letter the amt he was setting aside for me.
Please I need ur advice on this, as I plan to refire soonest
P. S My sponsor is my uncle and he's using his company.

Your case is not too complicated. It's basically about your sponsor's financial standing and about your own. If your sponsor's soa was good, then it could be that the VO didn't believe s/he would actually sponsor you. Which means, you should work on your sponsorship letter, if your sponsor is not your dad/mum, you should make the VO understand why s/he will be expending so much fortune on you, and also state the exact amount that would be given to you, put his/her Name on the sponsor column in your study permit application and also think of other things that would make the VO believe you.
Also work on your personal asset. I'm guessing you must have stated in your application you were working or had study gap, so you should show proof of what you've been doing since you graduated.

Try always to give advices u are sure of. Affidavit and sponsorship letter cannot solve "Personal asset and financial status". You don't have to comment if u don't have the answers. I personally don't comment on every question here especially the ones I am not sure of. Misleading anyone here is wrong. I have been given wrong info on this thread before he my outburst..Personal asset speaks on the principal applicant. The individual's SOA and other physical and non-physical assets.

By the way, I am not in a hurry, I would reapply February by the special Grace of God. I just want to start gathering my documents to refire. So I need to know what I need to do and what I shouldn't do.
Since I am reapplying,
1.do I still use the Same soa. (I do not want any ambiguities in my application).
2. Since I am addressing the issues ticked in my delay correspondence letter, should I attach it to my next application or it isn't necessary.

You have said it all. If your uncle is the CEO and he has enough money in His account why not use him as your sponsor instead, with an affidavit of sponsorship and employment letter it will be very easy for you. But if u still want to use the company, then getting the employment letter and an affidavit stating that they are sponsoring you so you can come back and fill up a certain position in the company will be very nice.

Must I work with a company first before I can be supported?
Can't a company sponsor who they want provided they have funds?


Anyways, they plan to employ me wen I come back from school since my discipline suits the needs of the company. Would this add anything positive to the application if they state this cos they didn't state it in the first app, they tot that since they have provided a declaration letter, CAC, tax clearance and SOA, That it was enough.

Oga siga I hail oo, but my uncle put his SOA in my application and a declaration letter. Tax clearance CAC documents and letter off sponsorship, it's a company sponsoring me. All he did was sign a declaration as the CEO..

Also, How do I deal the with the relationships that they ticked, cos he's my uncle not the same surname. So what do I do, should I just state in my SOP that he is my uncle and should I include his travel documents. Thanks for ur response and I also welcome other responses.
