If I can find the Biafran flag I would fly in it my house in Edo state, we were conned in the Mid-West to support one Nigeria in 1967.
"One Nigeria" is the biggest scam of Nigeria's minorities to date, the Hausas (to a lesser extent the Yorubas) are the ones that need one Nigeria.

The Mid-West had a plebiscite in 1963 and voted to leave the Western Region, we should have had another referendum to decide if we wanted to remain in Nigeria.

I never feel offended when Yorubas turned a discourse of this nature into brickbats, INSULTS and name calling. Do you know the reason: A large part of so-called Yoruba history were weaved together starting from the mid 19th century and established in the 1950s - 1960s.

However they forgot that the Benin History were recorded from 900 AD - by the Portuguese and British sailors, missionaries, visitors, merchants, archeologists and so.

These are in addition to the remnant of Old Bini empire such as Benin Great wall (known as Benin Moat), old sculptures, many smaller kingdoms such as this tribe, the Onitsha people, the Republic of Benin (used to be called Dahomey and changed in 1975 after obtaining permission from Benin King) etc.

Is so bad that when you confront them with solid facts, figures and statistics - Yorubas will go berserk - hurling insults and gutter languages. The problem is: They'd been fed with LIES from the cradle, and they find it very difficult and discomforting to shake off those lies.

I agree with you. I don't know what Yorubas hold against the Igbo, but I think this election has clearly shown that Yorubas really hate Igbos. The Igbos are loving people, free thinkers, can easily adapt in any environment and are free to make anywhere their home, that is why you see Igbos everywhere in Nigeria, they build houses, homes and businesses, have their kids and train them in that environment, but Yorubas would never leave their region talk less of building a house in Aba or Akwa same with the Hausa fulanis. The truth is that igbos are on the edge now. Just yesterday after church service an Igbo friend turned down an offer to buy an acre of land in Lekki for an apartment project, and I asked him why; he said with the attitude of Yorubas these days his investments will now be directed to the east or better outside the country. I saw sadness in his face as he said this and that really got me reflecting on where this country is currently headed with this recent happenings. May God heal our land.

Suspected Fulani gunmen on Saturday evening and Sunday morning attacked and killed 30 persons, mostly women and children, in Guma, Kwande, Buruku and Keana Local Government Areas of Benue and Nasarawa states.

The PUNCH gathered that the villages attacked in Guma LGA are Tse-Uosu, Tse-Gbudu Taraka and Branch Umenger in Mbadwem council.

In Keana, the invaders attacked Iornungun while in Kwande, the gunmen invaded Jato/Aka and environs just as many residents of Mbatie, Mbatsease and Mbaatungu Aji, all in Buruku LGA, were displaced by the armed herdsmen.

It was further gathered that apart from those killed, several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

A fleeing native from Guma, identified as Suunen, told our correspondent that the gunmen stormed the communities while they were resting after the day’s work and started shooting sporadically at innocent and defenceless people of the area.

Suunen added that residents of neighbouring communities had fled their villages over fears that the suspected Fulani militias might attack their communities.

Another victim, Terungwa, said his mother narrowly escaped death from Mbatie and now taking refuge in Yandev, Gboko LGA.

The Commissioner of Police, Hyacinth Dagala, confirmed the attack and said eight corpses had been recovered.

He noted that the command had intensified surveillance just as additional security had been provided to stop the attacks from escalating.
