owobokiri: Yorubas and their bias & hatred towards Ndigbo is as old as nigeria itself or even older. They use everything thing within them to bring down Igbos. All I pray now is that all Igbos all over this country and in diaspora should henceforth unite and chat a single course for the Igbo 1 Like |

Ihuomadinihu: Igbos were the first to produce home movies/video in nigeria. I dont want to answer that yoruba fellow because he/she is blinded by their Igbophobia. Living in bondage was nigeria first home movie/video, which later gave birth to nollywood. Home movies/videos are comercial movies/videos you could buy and watch at your convenience in your house. Before then all nigeria had was theater and cinema. Meaning nigerians never got to watch personally owned nigerian movies in their houses except it is been screened on TV, until the birth of living in bondage. Thus making living in bondage nigerias first worldly recognized movie. Thereby introducing nigerian movie industry to the rest of the world. Yoruba people don't like it when Igbos are first. 3 Likes |

kinibigdeal: Stop fooling yourself with morals of peace when your evil intentions are rather conspicuous to all! Mischief maker. FYI Freedom comes with a price, and we are rather buoyed, by the events of 67 to set our minds on the liberation of our people from the clutches of backwardness & national stagnation occasioned by the burden of northern nigeria and the slavery mentality of the yorubas, than be demoralized by them. |

kinibigdeal: I see! So why don't you post the pictures of boko haram victims? Why don't you post pictures of June 12 casualties? Why don't you post pictures how nigerian soldiers were killed? Why don't you post pictures of how abiola was poisoned, killed and sold by your obas? Why didn't you post pictures of how ahmadu bello was killed? Why did you not post pictures of hausa yoruba fights in shagamu? You're a miserable fellow, using pictures of children suffering from awolowo's blockade to warn of war but forgetting to post pictures of awolowo committing suicide to warn people of the dangers of hurting children and its consequences of committing suicide in the end. FYI Only war can set nigeria aright! And I honestly wish that 1967 is now. A man who die for a course dies a noble & worthy death. Thank God for making me Igbo. |

if your people had a sliver of our gut, none of us would still be in this mirage called Nigeria. Children died yes, thanks to awolowo's blockade but nigerian army lost more fighters than Biafra did. Which is why the nigerian government never kept an official government record of the war. God Bless Ndigbo for being only two states at the time and having such might & gut to fight the rest of the country with all their super power foreign supporters for three food years. I always Imagined what it would have looked like if Biafra had a quarter of the arms available to the nigerian army. Igbo, the only man. 7 Likes |

But I would categorically say that everyone in lagos is a settler who's father or grand or great grand parents migrated from somewhere to lagos. Nigeria’s president-elect Muhammadu Buhari, has instructed all his staff, including the personnel attached directly to him, to steer clear of all dealings with the media, and leave all media affairs to his official media team. In a statement in Abuja on Wednesday, April 29, by the Directorate of Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Mr. Buhari aligned himself with the pronouncement of his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC which had earlier expressed disagreement with the temporary barring of the African Independent Television (AIT) from covering his activities. “I would like everyone to henceforth stay within his/her defined area of responsibility,” Mr. Buhari said. The president-elect added that his media team should be left to continue to deal with their media colleagues in the best possible way. According to the statement, Mr. Buhari was neither consulted nor informed about the AIT barring, and only became aware of the matter after the public uproar it generated. “The time of CHANGE has come,” he said, “and we must avoid making the same mistakes that the outgoing government made.” www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/182257-buhari-denies-barring-ait-blames-overzealous-aides.html |

Politics / Pro-Buhari Igbo Want South-East To Succeed Tambuwal by illiad1(m): 6:29am On Apr 30, 2015 |
Despite not producing any ranking All Progressives Congress senator or member of the House of Representatives for the 8th National Assembly, the South-East geopolitical zone is seeking to succeed Mr. Aminu Tambuwal as the Speaker of the next House. A Coalition of South-East Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Movement, on Wednesday called on the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari and the APC’s leadership not to exclude the zone from the sharing of principal offices of the National Assembly. The group said in Abuja that the APC should endeavour to carry all the geo-political zones of the country along. The Coordinator of the group, Mr. John Ekeanyanwu, argued that the South-East was an important stakeholder in the development of Nigeria as any other zone, adding that leaving it out in the power sharing arrangement could be counter-productive in the years ahead. Ekeanyanwu specifically asked that the zone should be allowed to produce the Speaker of the 8th House of Representatives. He said there were many Igbo people who contributed their time and resources to the overall victory of the party at the recently-concluded general elections. The group added, “It is noteworthy that the South-East cannot be totally left out in the leadership composition of the 8th National Assembly, most especially in the House of Representatives where we have honourable members elected on the platform of the APC from the South-East. “We urge and appeal to the National leadership of the APC that as they meet to ratify the zoning arrangement, to consider strongly the South-East for the position of the Speaker of the House of Representatives in the spirit of the principles of federal character, equity, justice and fair play.” There are two APC lawmakers from Imo State who are first timers and by House rules, are not qualified to hold leadership positions. The PUNCH learnt that the race for the speakership had long narrowed down to the South-West and the North-East, only awaiting official confirmation by the National Executive Committee of the APC. However, the South-South zone has also been pushing for the position or at least the Deputy Speaker of the House, having produced two ranking APC members, Mr. Pally Iriase and Mr. Peter Akpatason. Iriase has since intensified campaign for the position, but House Minority Leader, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila (South-West); and Chairman, Committee on House Services, Mr. Yakubu Dogara (North-East), are considered to top the chart. The PUNCH gathered on Wednesday that some influential figures in the APC had reportedly resolved to zone the speakership to the South-West, having agreed that the North-East should produce the Senate President. “This arrangement, if confirmed, will leave Dogara out to either settle for deputy speaker or contest the election against the zoning formula of his party. “We also have Mr. Abdulmumini Jibrin, who is in the race, even though his zone (North-West) has not been in the calculations”, one National Assembly official told The PUNCH on Wednesday. http://www.punchng.com/news/pro-buhari-igbo-want-south-east-to-succeed-tambuwal/
