Dating in itself is fun. But dating a wrong girl is stress. Did I just say stress? Now, that is an understatement. It is like have a banging headache that makes you really feel uncomfortable. If you are a guy, you probably have dated a woman that you later felt was a complete waste of time. Be comforted. You are not alone. This is why I have checked out seven major types of women that keep making dating miserable for us. 1. The self -centered girl: A relationship is the product of two people taking care of each other’s needs. However, the self centred girl is focused on herself. When you are together, the only issue that excites her is about herself. She does not care to ask how things have been with you. You could be going through a difficult situation and she doesn’t observe to know! It can be very frustrating because you know you are not getting one tenth of what you are putting into the relationship. Let me tell you how that kind of relationship will end: if you try to endure the relationship for a while, you will get hurt repeatedly till you start to resent her. Before you will know it, it will develop to very strong dislike for her. And that will wrap up whatever is between the two of you. 2. The insecure girl: Researchers have not yet found out why people get so insecure. But with this girl, prepare your list of explanations in advance. You have to explain to her why the course mate you greeted was smiling. You have to explain why you checked your phone twice in the last one hour. If she is with your phone, you have to explain why you sent a message with an emoji. My brother, even security cameras cannot monitor your life the way she would. Not even the angels can do a thorough job of recording your every act like her. 3. The verbal girl: She is often nice and pretty. But there is one big problem that she has: her mouth. When she wants, she can pamper you till you reach the clouds and see heaven’s gates. But once she gets angry, her words flow like corrosive acid. It burns every morale and confidence you can ever muster. And watch it; she may not do this to you immediately. Rather, she may start with those around you. But my friend, everything is turn by turn. Hand will soon reach you too.  4. High maintenance girl: I was once talking to a girl and telling her that I cannot waste time chasing after a girl. She told me clearly that I have to learn it because the woman is the goal. I laughed. That is the kind of mindset this type of girl has. She believes that she is your prize and you should feel lucky to have her. So, once you start dating, you are responsible for her and her generational needs. The money you will spend on her for six months is enough to erect a house to lintel level. In fact, she may probably ask you for monthly salary too. Are you surprised? Don’t be. These are clearly evil days. 5. The lying girl: She might have a degree from school, but she has one degree you are not aware of: BLL. It means Bachelor of Lie-Lie. She lies almost over everything. Satan, the liar, is not even worthy to do IT under her. Hardly can you ever catch her lying because she is just good at what she does. But if you ever succeed and catch her lying. Forget it man; it’s a waste of time. Even her excuse and explanations will still be lies. Have you ever been in such a relationship with one? It is a really terrible experience. 6. The indecisive girl: She is one leg in and one leg out. You are dating her but you are not sure you are dating her. Whenever you try to discuss about the two of you, she says she is not ready, but she wants dividends of a relationship. She wants you to share her emotional load with you and even expect you to assist financially. She says you are the most special guy she knows but at the same time won’t accept that you are her boyfriend. She clearly is using you to wait for someone better. But, if this is happening to you and you are still hoping for an opportunity, April 1st will not be enough to celebrate you. 7. The wannabe bride: This kind of girl seems pleasant at first. The problem starts when she starts scheming to get married to you at all cost. She keeps bringing up fantasies of when the two of you will be married when the relationship is just three weeks old! You will think it is only older ladies that do this, but even girls of 21-22 are increasingly entering this stage. If you don’t want the accompanying frustration, you know what to do. These are the ones I decided to write out. You probably have met some women with peculiar issues. Being broke is not your fault. It happens to everyone at one point or the other. But to remain broke? Now that is your fault. It is wrong to continue to blame anybody or a system for your financial fortune. There are so many opportunities around that it is totally illogical for anyone to remain broke. There are countless possibilities that stare at us today. And as I have often say, the way to end the cycle of being broke is not just to work hard at your regular job but to have your own personal business. Your job may earn you a living but true wealth comes from owning your own business. And the business prospects of our day exceed what is obtainable at any other time. Even our parents never had it easy. There are three basic excuses why people refuse to start their own business: No capital: Of course, this is the foremost reason. It is a reasonable excuse considering how difficult it is to get along. It can be painful that after brainstorming to come up with business ideas, there is money to execute it. But this reason is logical only up to a certain point. There are people that have started businesses with no money of their own. Better still, there are businesses you can do right now that do not require capital but can fetch you money to start other businesses. They exist! Unfavorable business climate: This is one of the reasons that were given on a thread few days ago about why some phones are cheaper in Kenya than Nigeria. And it is a valid point too. Nigeria’s environment makes it difficult for businesses to thrive. International studies and even African businessmen like Strive Masiyiwa have also asserted that Nigeria is not too favorable for businesses. No business idea: Have you seen some people that actually have the capital but do not know what businesses to go into? Though this category is very rare, they never the less exist. And business idea does not just mean a random idea, I refer to ideas that can generate returns. This is why having an internet business is the key. It eliminates the first two problems. If you have an internet business: • You don’t have to worry about capital. Most genuine businesses require almost no financial input from you. Internet businesses these days will generate money for you even if you don’t invest capital in them. All they require is your time. • You don’t have to worry about unfavorable business climate. Nigeria’s business climate does not have its tentacles extended to the online world. Here, there is no need for inventory, no tax, no need for staff, no need to bribe officials and the likes. All you need is your laptop, your two hands and your data subscription. • You don’t have to worry about having a business location. You don’t need an office either. All you need, you most likely have: your own apartment. You can work from the comfort of your home. Three most lucrative internet businesses in Nigeria now By ‘most lucrative businesses’, I mean businesses you can start right away with almost nothing from the comfort of your home with potential of fetching you handsome profits. Work on Kindle (Publishing): Amazon’s kindle desktop publishing is one of the most lucrative. If you have the ability to write, why not make money from it? With kindle, you can publish your books for free and enjoy patronage from all around the world. You don’t need to pay to register neither are there subscription fees. It’s free. Better still, you can write at your convenience and keep earning royalty for life! Work on Fiverr (Freelancing): Yes, the freelance business is still making more Nigerians richer! Fiverr is a profitable platform because you stand a chance to work there. Contrary to what you think, Fiverr is not only about writing. If you can edit videos, audios, do photoshop, or you are tech savvy, it means you are a potential hot cake on Fiverr. Equally, if you can write articles and other kinds of writing, you should give this a thought. Any ability you have will find its market on Fiverr. Work on Clickbank (Affiliate Marketing): This is my speciality. You can engage in Affiliate marketing by simply promoting the products of companies. How do you get your money? The companies will pay you a commission when anyone makes a purchase through the unique link you will be given. If you have two hours a day and an internet connection, you are good to go. Unlike the other two options above, you don’t need any special ability to work here. In other words, anybody can engage in affiliate marketing. Once you learn the ropes, you will start making money from the marketing. Once again, I repeat; being broke is not bad, but remaining broke is definitely bad. There is no excuse to be. There are certain things that as a guy, you must take notice of in your partner. Most guys are really clueless about dating when compared to women. Sometimes, they make many guys feel like learners. The simple truth is that things might go wrong no matter what you do. It is therefore important you look out and know what to avoid in a relationship. I have penned down a couple of things. 1. If a lady misses a date you both agreed on and doesn’t call to apologize, let her go. There is no time to waste on one woman. If she does call to apologize, let her be the one to request another time so as to make it up to you. If she doesn't show up again, forget about her. She doesn't value your time. 2. Never let any woman disrespect you. If she does and she refuses to apologize and change for good, drop her. You don't want to be with someone who tears down your self esteem or does not know your worth. 3. Dating an indecisive lady can be frustrating. When you find yourself with one, give her space. You should not try to force people to make up their mind. Let her coming to you be out of choice and not compulsion. 4. Never try to buy a lady's affection. Trust me, that's one path you don't want to walk. If a woman does not like you, your expensive gifts will not change her mind. Instead, you will end up becoming be a “financial boyfriend” who sorts out her needs, aka “mugu”. 5. Never beg a woman to give you a chance. If you think she eventually gives you a chance, then you're mistaken. She probably showed you pity. And you know something about pity in relationships? It does not last long. 6. If a woman uses sex as a negotiating tool, dump her sorry ass. She is only manipulating you and nothing more. Sex is not a favour or reward! 7. Never let a lady be sure that you are crazy about her to the point that she feels too confident. In fact, never affirm your love immediately to her. Suppress that feeling to talk about it till she has shown you all possible green lights that she loves you. 8. If you give her a phone call twice and she doesn't answer, do not give her a call again. It is called desperation, and woman can smell it from a distance. You what it does to them, remember? Instead, just send a text. 9. Do not compare her to your ex. In the same way, if she talks about her ex with you to the level of comparisons, let her go ASAP. You will never be enough for her. You don't want to spend your energy trying to fill a shoe that was not yours in the first place. 10. Trust your instincts. The first problem with guys when they start feeling emotional about a lady is that they let the feelings overwhelm their sense of reasoning. Someone told me the other day that he let go of his logical self to date a woman. Huh? Do not make that mistake. 11. Never show 100% commitment to a lady. No matter how sweet she may be, she is not yours till you both tie the knot. Don't even assume that she will not leave. Realize that until you both wed, there is nothing like complete commitment. 12. Maintain an air of mystery. Never divulge too much about yourself too soon. Keep her in wonder of who you are. 13. Except you know how to chat with a lady and keep the sparks on, save the conversation for your dates. You may make use of that platform when you have come quite a distance with her. 14. Women desire attention just like guys desire sex. It is your own weapon. Even if she asks for it, be frugal about it. Never let her talk you in to giving her your complete attention. It may backfire soon since what one gets used to can easily be abused. 15. Do not make all the efforts in a relationship. I for one have a policy that I will take only two steps and wait for the lady to take at least one step. Whosoever invests more in a relationship gets emotional tied more than the other person. 16. Never change who you are for a woman. Never! If you must change, let it be because you feel the need to and not because you want to impress a lady. 17. Never lose your voice to a woman. Do not become a “yes man” to anything she says. It does not get her attracted to you; instead, it makes you look like a wimp. If there is something you do not agree about, state your opinion. If you think she did wrong, let her know about it and don't keep mute about it. 18. Except you want to, never date any girl who has more problems than you do. Chances are that she may draw you in to all of it and you'd soon be overwhelmed. If you must date such a woman, be sure of what you are stepping in to. 19. If you ever find yourself with a possessive, over-jealous or domineering lady, drop her fast. She is not worth the stress. You will save yourself a lot of trouble by doing so. 20. Be alert about attempts to manipulate you. Recognize when. She is trying to get you to do something or not. Ensure you follow the decision of your will. Do not let the tears get to you or the pleadings get to you. You may do otherwise if you deem it fit to make a compromise on your stand, but guard against manipulation. 21. If a lady ever cheats on you, there is no remedy for it. Let her go. It is an already established fact that women who have affairs end up developing a bond with whosoever the other person is. The mere fact that she cheated means you should call it quit. These are just a couple of essential dating etiquette guys should know and date by. Many people still believe that they have to spend money to make money. This makes me remember a quote I once came cross somewhere. It says, “If you cannot make money without money, then you cannot make money with money.” Do you get the point? Many businesses have crashed because people thought the most important thing was for them to have capital. Capital is never enough. Either we learn that by reflection or by bitter experience. There are many ways of earning money online. But due to the harsh economy, I want to share two ways to make money online without spending money. These two methods have nothing to do with Ponzi schemes which you have to put money into it (which are quite risky) or “Yahoo business” which is illegal (and also quite risky). By engaging in what I’m about to share, you have absolutely nothing to lose but more to gain. Like I have said, you don’t need a dime to start earning. All you need is your a smart phone or computer and internet connection plus a little bit of spare time on your hands daily. You need to take time to learn these two sure methods and be patient while learning. If you take out time to learn, you may even start earning more than your high paying regular job. Method 1 Freelance: You have probably heard or read this word repeatedly. What you may not know is that the word freelance goes beyond writing. Not everybody is gifted in writing but there are other things that we are individually gifted at. Whatever it may be; transcribing, editing audio and video files, blogging issues, proofreading, foreign languages etc, there is an opportunity for you to make money off it. I mean your natural ability could be of high demand and earn you an income. This is why you should not sit down and assume making money online is a complex task. It is not. How it works: You offer services (referred to as job or gig) and get contacted by a buyer who needs the services. You both discuss the workload, amount and other issues. The buyer pays the freelancing website and then you can commence work. When you’re done, you deliver the work and the freelancing website pays you for that job if the buyer is satisfied with the work. Advantages: - You can choose at what amount you want to earn. The more you work, the more you earn. - It is easy for you to register and start working. - You get your payment directly from the freelance company. In this way, you never have to worry about whether you will get paid or not. - You earn money from freelance without even doing the work. (This is a special secret I will share some other time). How to start: To begin with, there are a number of freelance sites online now. Examples are Fiverr, People per hour, Gigbucks, SeoClerks etc. Some are more profitable than others. What you need to do is to register on the site of your choice and start selling. (Tip: I will explain in details in the coming weeks using a DIY approach on how you can make good money as a freelancer). Method 2 Affiliate Marketing: Over the last couple of weeks, I have explained the goldmine that is in affiliate marketing. What you probably don’t know is that anyone can engage in affiliate marketing, even an undergraduate and it is not time consuming. In brief, affiliate marketing is an online activity where you promote products and get paid a commission for every sale that is made through your promotion. How it works: Once you sign up to an affiliate program, you can then select the products that you want to market. It is important that you choose what the market needs (or what people will like to buy). Once a sale is made through you, you will get a percentage (commission) from it. How then do the companies know they made a sale through you? They know because once you sign up with the company as an affiliate marketer, you will be given a unique tracking link to use when promoting their products. Advantages: - You get to work at your own pace. i.e. you can determine when to work - Unlike Fiverr where you only earn a pay for a specific work, with affiliate marketing, you can earn repeatedly from each time you work. - Once you automate it, it can keep fetching you money without your attention for days. - You get paid directly by the company, hence no delay - It is less time consuming. How to start You sign up at an affiliate market place. There are a couple of them online such as Click Bank, Commission Junction, Share A Sale, Pay dot com etc. I personally advise people to go for click bank which is where I make my money from. Once done, I will also advise that you focus on evergreen niches like health, wealth, relationship etc. Evergreen niches always make money on regular bases. In summary, nobody has a reason to remain completely idle. There are many opportunities that you can tap from to create financial streams for yourself. One interesting point to note about the above methods is that they are independent of the economy of Nigeria. So, even if the country is feeling the heat of a contracting economy, you can make still make money and live comfortably. I urge everyone to take advantage of these opportunities.
