Anchor84: Your exact words were Minor Body scratches is a normal thing. I responded with the fact that minor body scratches and dents are not 'normal'. Then I proceeded to point out the other issues with this vehicle. I certainly wasn't complaining about anything, if you thought I was then you're not particularly adept at understanding posts. Complaining would imply that I care about your opinions. I frankly do not. Learn what you can from the thread and move on. 2 Likes |

Your title reads 2005 Lexus ES300. Is this an ES300 or an ES330? If you're not sure, a photo of the Engine bay will be of help to you. You could also post the VIN. |

vetrovialMan: This is why it's important to actually know your subject matter before you make posts in public. The following loosely applies to the Lexus Rx series especially in North America. Lexus rx300 was produced from circa 1998 to 2003 Lexus rx330 was produced from 2004 to 2006 Lexus rx350 has been in production since 2007 till date. Lexus rx350 from 2007 till 2009 look exactly the same physically as the Lexus rx330. To simplify this I've left out the other similar body types like the rx450h and the other hybrids. 1 Like |

ikegwegbe: Morning to You. It's best to have all or at least a significant proportion of the facts about any subject before you make comments pertaining to it. There are several indices that determine how good a used car is, 'used' because we refer to them as 'tokunbo' then we tend to forget that these are used vehicles. The mileage is just one factor. The general condition of the vehicle, reasons for sale, title and history, and frame, transmission and engine condition. Of these, the least reliable, especially in Nigeria and much of the other countries where US used vehicles are exported to, are the general aesthetic condition and the mileage. This is because those can be rather easily manipulated. Odometer rollback isn't a particularly complex process, especially for older, pre-2014 vehicles. Mileage can be a deceptive index if considered separate from the other aspects of the vehicle. In general the higher the mileage, the more wear and tear. In general. The average annual mileage for a vehicle in North America has been estimated by most quarters to be 15,000 miles(the Americans often don't use the metric system, km). What this means is that a 10 year vehicle would in general have an average mileage of 150,000 miles. In general. Vehicles used as Cabs or other transportation enterprises would have significantly higher figures. Those figures could also be genuinely much less, but that could also be a red flag. It could indicate that an event rendered the vehicle immobile for sometime. Or it could just mean that the vehicle was genuinely not used much. In the above case, other things such as absence of accidents and presence of a clean title or history, coupled with the genuinely low mileage, the vehicle in question would cost significantly more than other vehicles in its class and category. The general condition can also be repaired and a fresh paint coat slapped on the vehicle. In assessing a North American used vehicle, when you obtain a VIN report such as Carfax, it provides an approximate but detailed history of the vehicle. This helps to create a better picture of its condition, and gives you an idea what it's mileage should be. This, coupled with a professional physical inspection including engine tests should suffice to assess the vehicle holistically. The above applies to vehicles from North America. For Europe and most of Asia, they aren't as adept as record keeping. Even the vehicle VINs are often not standard 17 digit numbers and may not be found on any database anywhere, so there may be no history available. In that case professional physical inspection is most important. The mileage should only be factored in if it were excessively high, like a 10 year vehicle from Germany with 300,000 miles. We need to be realistic and gain some knowledge about vehicle sales and imports to enable us ask the right questions. You should not, in your search for Vehicles, be guided solely by the mileage. That would lead you to situations you would probably come to regret. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Guys this is unnecessary. Cosplay you've already made your point by posting photos of the accidented vehicle. These continued personal attacks are unfair because he can't attack back personally. Cosplay stop replying and taunting this dealer. Valarinz do the right thing with your adverts and stop replying Cosplay. The point has been made. 4 Likes |

chronique: If the response to ridiculous requests by buyers with little knowledge about auto import business, is to engage in fraudulent and criminal activity to satisfy those silly and unrealistic demands, well I'm sorry to say that that is criminal. That would be like someone saying that the reason they sell plastic rice is because buyers come and haggle 2000 naira for a bag of good rice. Logical, perhaps. But very dishonest. 2 Likes |
