The liberals immigration policies have always been known to favour family reunification and humanitarian/refugees. Applicant should also expect an increase in processing time.

Quite speculative. In my own opinion, the liberals made a lot of politically commitments they would struggle to keep. For instance, I don't see how they will process 20,000 applications for refugees in less than 2 months without compromising their usual routine security check, which may prove disastrous in the foreseeable future. The silver lining in all these bogus commitments --is that they intend to hire more agents and increase funding to reduce the processing time for family reunion. Hopefully, that may not directly impact the processing time for economic migrants.

I beg to disagree bro. 489 is the minimum CRS and does not represent an average. For the minimum score to have been that high implies that the bulk of the drawn applicants actually scored above 600, as the number of applicants between the 489 to 600 band would be expectedly few.
Furthermore, looking closer at the very privileged few that would score above 489; it's very difficult for an out band applicant to hit this score (489), invariably most applicants that get that high are either in the CEC (with Canadian masters + 2/3years of Canadian work experience) or inland FSWP (with similar profile). The maximum obtainable CRS score for an out band applicant is approx. 520 (putting into consideration maximum points for IELTS, Education, age, etc) and such candidates are quite rare. Suffice to conclude that the bulk of applicants that made up the last draw are : mostly PNPs, LMIA, CEC or Inland FSWP.

All these point to one stalk reality; express entry is oddly skewed to favor inland applicants. They get additional points for local experience, zero POF requirement, preferred by provinces on nominations, priority processing even after ITA, etc. What actually irk me is the fact that these category of people still whine and complain on various immigration forums that the system does not favor them.

For the record, this is not to discourage prospecting out band FSWP/FSWC applicants. It's actually not so difficult to poll > 450 CRS good IELTS score, good degree and if you are below 32. It gets lot easier if you are married and both couples are degree holders with fairly good English skill.

It's not PNPs and not LMIA, it'st that new people with good scores are entering the pool weekly. Also, previously declined ITAs and canceled applications that now re-entered the pool.

PNPs and LMIAs give 600points, which is even higher than the current CRS cut -off score so, it can't be them

19th draw announced @ 489

Typical draw packed with applicants that have PNP nomination and LMIA. I think the Canadian immigration system is skewed so much in favor of inland applicants and it's about to get worse with the Liberals in power.

thank you zandora, we'll inform the doctor then, am just afraid dey will do further testing on all of us, and from what I read online dey reject hep B

Further testing? YES

Rejection? NO, except they can prove that your spouse would be of immense burden on the Canadian Government or she would be of grave danger to Canadians. If her viral load is low and her liver is in any way impaired, you guys are good to go.

I want to seek advise from seniors, my spouse has hep B, while our son nd myself r negative. We awaiting nominations. We just got to no early this year, my question is, we still av like 6months b4 PR, she's about to begin medication to reduce d viral load. When we want to do medical, will she say she's positive or will Hep B not be tested. I want us to start preparing ahead now, any suggestions pls.

You have nothing to worry about. Let her proceed with her planned treatment to reduce the viral load to as low as possible. If possible, ensure you keep copies of the tests conducted as the viral load reduces over the 6 months period, as this would form part of your medical history on HEPB. During your CIC medical exam, she would definitely be asked if she has ever had Hepatitis. Her answer should of course be YES (truthfully). She should proceed to provide further information, which may include medical examination showing very low viral load. The medical examiner would take the information she provided into advice, but would still require her to take further hepatitis tests (A,B and C) to ascertained the veracity of the information provided.

Bottom line, as long as there is no case of substantial liver damage, I think you would clear your medical.

caseless: i'm older than u. D entire arab states have been compromised because of american involvement. U knw what hizbollah did to isreal ryt? Without the backing of america, isreal wil b gone. Not even britain or france can save them when the time comes.

Quite preposterous!!! No sensible Arab nation with border around Israel is willing to go into war with Israel. They know they have to kowtow to Israel regain a portion of any captured land. Only countries further away like Iran would ever dear that.

By the way, what did Hezbollah do to Israel? The fact Hezbollah fought the battle of their lives to stay alive does not make them any stronger than Hamas.

caseless: Can't wait for hizbollah to join gazans in this war.

Seriously? How old are you? Grow up. What can Hezbollah achieve that the entire surrounding Arab nations have not been able to achieve since 1947?

Why not wish or wait for a lasting truce that guaranty no further loss of human lives?
