A lady by the name of Cynthia came out in September to accuse a guy of raping a Friend of hers, Anita, on twitter and expected the guy to settle them.

But the guy did the unexpected (for most guys in that situation), he took the matter to court and this singular action made Cynthia and her friend understand that


And Cynthia could end up in Jail.

So, Cynthia along with two friends went to meet the accused guy for settlement.

Sanni Iyabo, an Instagram comedian and a student of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode has exposed her fake friend who tried to kill her with sniper after stealing N57k from her account.

According to her, the young boy, identified as Efy Nwamama on IG is her friend and partner in the comedy business, but out of envy that she’s about to ‘blow’ before him, he had to take drastic steps to end her life. Something she never imagined could happen.

1. Sowore unable to meet bail conditions.

The convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore and his co-defendant Olawale Bakare; charged with treasonable felony have still not been able meet the conditions attached to the bail; which wasgranted them on October 4, 2019 by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

On Wednesday, their lawyers decided to return to court to seek a reduction in the bail conditions to those which the defendants could readily meet.

2. NYSC arrests 95 graduates with fake certificates.

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim; revealed that about 95 graduates with fake certificates from both Nigerian and foreign universities; were apprehended and handed to security agencies during the last orientation exercise.

Just as he threatened to blacklist any institution caught including the names of unqualified persons for mobilization into the NYSC.

3.Army to demand identity cards from Nigerians.

Henceforth, Nigerians will be requested to carry identification cards to prove their identity to the military as the Nigerian Army begins quick profiling of citizens under a new military exercise, codenamed: Operation Positive Identification.

The exercise, according to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, is to uncover those with questionable identities.

He said the operation will also stop dislodged and fleeing insurgents from accessing peaceful zones.

4. Borno hires ‘juju’ hunters to battle Boko Haram.

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has engaged over 1,000 hunters with supernatural powers to battle Boko Haram.

This comes after last week’s engagement of Imams from Saudi Arabia to pray against the continued attack by Boko Haram on the state.

In light of the #SexForGrades scandal that rocked the country yesterday; people have been calling for the Federal Government of Nigeria to pass a bill against sexual harassment on campus; in addition to investigating the issue.

However, Nigerians are wondering about the prolonged silence of key actors in the education sector most especially the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

In 2016, the union kicked vehemently against the sexual harassment bill proposed by the Senate, insisting that the focus be on dress code instead.

This, in addition to the union’s silence over the #SexForGrades scandal, has raised the question of ASUU’s possible involvement in the matter; and has also been interpreted as the union’s effort to protect it’s members.

The thirteen minute long #SexForGrades video released by BBC Africa Eye yesterday, exposed Dr. Boniface; a UNILAG lecturer and Four Square Gospel church head pastor. Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu.


The University of Lagos has announced the shut down of the Cold Room, where lecturers allegedly harass students sexually.

The University has suspended Dr. Boniface, and also barred him from campus academic areas.

In a statement signed by Mrs Taiwo Oloyede, the Principal Assistant Registrar (Communication Unit), the University stressed that the so-called Cold Room is a Functions Room that may have been abused and used for other devious purposes other than meetings, seminars, events, etc for which it was created.

In addition, the University assures members of the public that it will suspend any other lecturer mentioned in the full version of the #SexForGrades documentary.

Senior lecturers at both institutions sexually harassed and pressured the female reporters; who all wore secret cameras on them in a 13-minutes video documentary that was released.

One of the culprits exposed is a UNILAG senior lecturer, Faculty of Arts; who is also the head pastor of a Foursquare Gospel Church in Lagos, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu.

Igbeneghu, who invited the teenager to his office for tutorials, subsequently began to have inappropriate conversations with her.

On their first meeting, he wasted no time in commenting on her appearance.

In the 13-minutes secret filming, the lecturer revealed how his colleagues tossed and passed around UNILAG female students for sex.

1. Court grants Sowore bail at 100 million Naira.

A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to politician and convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore and his co-defendant, Olawale Adebayo Bakare.

The conditions of bail for Sowore include 100 million Naira and two sureties in like sum; prohibition from traveling out of Abuja.

2. Facebook removes accounts from Nigeria, Egypt, others.

Facebook has removed 443 Facebook accounts and 125 Instagram accounts; 200 pages and 76 groups stemming from UAE, Egypt, Nigeria and Indonesia as well.
According to the company, these accounts were involved in coordinated inauthentic behaviour.

3. Buhari and Ramaphosa sign Agreement over xenophobic attacks.

Several weeks after Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa, Nigerian president, Buhari travelled on a 3 day visit to South Africa on Wednesday.

They agreed that early warning mechanisms will be set to detect hostility between citizens of both countries, and Buhari also assured that there would be compensation for victims.

Up to 32 agreements were signed.

4. IPOB members protest against President Buhari in South Africa.

Indigenous People of Biafra members led protests outside the Union Buildings in Pretoria, South Africa’s seat of presidency, during President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit. The South African police later confronted them with guns and tear gas.

Three months after the leader of Clans cult group was killed after his exam in Cross River University of Technology; another student of the school has been murdered.

Some students of the school claim that the killing may have been to avenge the death of the Clans leader back in July 2019

The victim is rumoured to be the leader of cult group. He was killed on campus during the school’s Cultural Week celebration.

There’s an ever ongoing debate about Private Universities; Are they too strict? Are they worth it? Can you even have fun? And the most asked question: Is there freedom?

Let’s not forget the rules part. These schools have the most annoying rules. Here are five most amusing rules of Private Universities:

1. Guys can’t hug girls after 7 pm

Yes, you read that right., Male students are not allowed to hug female students from 7 pm in Joseph Ayo Babalola University. Any student caught doing so will undergo community service in the university bakery.

2. Students cannot wear Jeans and Chinos

Covenant University has some of the strangest rules that can land you either suspension or expulsion. According to the University’s handbook, students are not allowed to wear Jeans, Chinos and also Corduroy materials

3. You can’t wear Designer glasses and local beads

In Al-Hikmat University, an Islamic institution in Nigeria, students are not allowed to wear designer glasses and local beads. Don’t ask me why.

4. Female students cannot use fashion accessories

The Mountain of Fire University, run by the Church that established it. This university frowns at the use of certain fashion accessories like necklaces, chains and hand bands.

Also, the skirt hems female students must be 2-4 inches below the knee.

5. Female students cannot wear long hairstyles

Babcock University does not allow its female students to wear long hairstyles on campus. When a student fixes attachment or weave to her hair, the university rules say the extension must not exceed her neck area.

6. Faculty dress Code

Each faculty has a dress code in Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, and it is compulsory to comply. For instance, those in Sciences put on cream-coloured shirts with trousers to match.

7. Listening to worldly music is a very big crime.

At Covenant University, listening to worldly music is a very serious offence that could get students suspended from the school. The university frowns at secular music and will never allow its students to be destroyed by such entertainment.

I have been dating my boyfriend for a year and a half. We actually met through a mutual friend two months before we became official. Although, generally, the relationship is good, and he is a really nice guy; I have one issue that has been bothering me for a while now.
My boyfriend does not buy me things, and before you all start saying my boyfriend is not my father or bank or whatever; I do buy him things. I personally believe in giving your partner small, unexpected gifts here and there, instead of waiting for special occasions.
Special occasion or no special occasion, i do not get anything. Anything at all.
We are both working, so it is not like he does not have a source of income. There are times when he says he is broke, and i do give him money that i don’t even collect back. It gets really tiring when you are the only one putting effort in a particular area, or when there is no reciprocation.
All i want is to be spoiled, or at least buy me something once in a while, even if it is a small perfume or chocolate, or food! One of my male friends told me that guys buy gifts for girls they really like or value. Does that mean I am in a one-sided relationship?
This thing is eating me up, and i do not even know how to approach the issue with him.
