Really funny to see how easy it is to get under your skin... Well, my point is clear.. If Mbaka wants to go into politics like osibanjo, he should.. And not stand from the pulpit to make controversial utterances.... 1 Pet 2: 13-17, Acts 23:1-5 ...

GloryIsaac:

Hope this ends this argument... Check 2 Tim 2:24 .. Make sure you find out the meaning of that verse..

1. You're not getting under my skin you're just stupidd. Period!

2. Jesus himself was involved in politics. He was constantly trying to influence, chastise the Sanhedrin, Scribes (Pharisees and Sadducees). These were the leaders/politicians/legislators of Israel.

Why shouldn't Fr Mbaka do as his master did? Because he wears white?

Deep down there is a voice saying all these are wrong; interceding through Mary, praying the rosary, intercession of saints etc. These are all traditions not Christianity. Forget about the pride thing because someone is correcting you kindly discover it yourself.
The word is never assumed and it is clear so please stop making out things that are not. I am a Catholic with modifications rather I would say I'm a believer of God.

2Thess2:15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by our letter.

What St. Paul preached was tradition, not Christianity abi?

Confused "Catholic." You better listen to the Church before you become more confused.

Stop being biased.. i've already told you that I'm not JW... I doubt if you actually checked on any of the links posted except for jw's own..
1Tim 2:1-2, Acts 23:1-5, 1 Thess 4:11-12, 1 Pet 2:13-17..

Point out where any of those verses said a priest should not get involved in politics.

Unfortunately, you're the dullard here.. Osinbajo clearly made his stance known to everyone that he's going into politics.. no amount of criticism would change that.. But hiding under the cover of a white cape and making utterances against a leader is simply making a mockery of the church..also read this..

theunion.com.ng/editoral/father-mbaka-and-controversial-doomsday-predictions/

Okay, so the sin is no more that a priest got involved in politics...

It's that he got involved while wearing a white cassock, instead of a suit, like Osinbajo?

With all due respect, you're very stupidd.

Wrong. The catholic church is against condoms.

Not wrong. The Catholic Church is against sex outside marriage and condoms.

Abstinence and fidelity to one's spouse is more effective in combating those diseases than using condoms

True. But men have a way of interpreting ideas to their benefit.

It reminds me of a religion called Legio Maria. As the name suggest, it's an offshoot of the Catholic Church. It Was Started By some tribal Africans in the colonial times who wanted to keep the traditional aspects of their religion inside the new. So they broke off. It's hardly recognizable now as a former Catholic offshoot.

Legio Mariae (Legion of Mary) is not what you're claiming it is.

It is not a religion. It was not started by Africans. It has never broken off.

Legio Mariae is still found in every single Catholic Church today.

If you're ignorant, shut up.

Italo?

Wetin your catholic church don do for Africa?

The Catholic Church has thousands of schools, hospitals and charities to educate and cater for the mentally, physically and materially poor/weak.

The first ever hospital in Nigeria (Sacred Heart Hospital, Abeokuta) was a Catholic Hospital.

The Church has been instrumental in eradicating or reducing unfair acts such as discrimination against people of other 'castes,' e.g Osu, human sacrifice etc.

The Church probably gave your father an education directly or indirectly.

What has your Atheism done for Africa?

Everybody can see that these things don't go together. The government is supposed to protect minorities in a democracy.

Here, they basically saying that they're too incompetent to perform their duties therefore, atheists must suffer from it.

Beating your kids should not be equated to wanting to exist legally.

Everybody can see that these things don't go together. The government is supposed to protect people of all or no creeds in a democracy.

Promoting anarchy should not be equated to wanting to bring up your kids legally.

From what I read, the parents reportedly 'pulled their ears', 'slapped their buttocks', and 'shook the baby like a rag'.

Corporal punishment is illegal in Norway. Shaking a baby is retar.ded as hell in Norway and all over the world.

So, is that really discrimination?

From what I read, the application was turned down because of concerns that registration could affect the "peace... [and] good order" in the country.

Doing something that can affect peace and good order in a country is retar.ded in Kenya and all over the world.

So is that really discrimination?

I only focused on North Korea. The Communist Party of China is atheist, as was the Soviet Union's (though it could be argued except during the time of Stalin when Stalin became their god. I am neutral on this).

Summary: Atheists have persecuted and killed tens of millions of religious people.
Religion / Re: Kenya Refuses To Register Atheist Group by italo: 8:59pm On Feb 06, 2016

You're missing the point. Religious persecution is a far smaller scale problem than persecution against atheists if you want to be honest.

We all know that North Korea and China are not truly democratic in their ruling. And we know that is where the problem is.

I could go on and list countries that persecute atheists in some form but obviously you're inclined to turn a blind eye towards it.

Can you say to yourself boldly that in general atheism is given equal rights with religion?

In some (even democratic) countries, atheism is given superior rights to religion.

In Norway, a couple had all their five children taken from them because "they were too Christian."

Go and eradicate that discrimination.

I'm not missing any point. If you thing religious persecution is far smaller, why not eradicate it first, since it's easier to solve.

Take a breath.

Listen to some soothing music (I suggest Death With Dignity by Sufjan Stevens).

Now, there's no need to get riled up here, all I'm saying is that if you can see that it's a problem then why don't you tell it like it is?

For example, any time feminists say that we need to make an effort to reduce sexual assault cases against women, some men always say that men can get raped too, so why aren't they talking about that? But they fail to realize that while this is true, it isn't nearly as common as cases where females are victims.

My point is, I'm not saying that there isn't a little bit Christian persecution in a few countries, but can we compare it to the widespread discrimination against atheists. Another thing is, just like my example above, you're only trying to undercut the situation by bringing up a less pertinent problem without regarding the problem at hand. This ends up solving nothing.

You want us to eradicate discrimination against Atheists...while ignoring persecution of religious people by Atheists?

You're trying to make me laugh, right?

North Korea is not atheist. Their gods are their dead leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. If you need proof then look at the 'miracles' that have been attributed to them--great signs supposedly occurred at their births and so on. Atheists don't believe in miracles or miraculous signs.

Keep fooling yourself.

What about China, Soviet Union etc?

It's not rare. Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Kim Jong Un, Chinese leaders, Khmer Rouge and other Atheists have discriminated, persecuted and martyred tens of millions of their own people.

Very true, religion faces harsh persecution in North Korea. This country doesn't uphold human rights in any way and religious rights are no exception. We should all realize that people can be good or bad regardless of religion or lack thereof.

China, also puts harsh restrictions on religious activities. All worship is government sanctioned. Also less than ideal.

But at the end of the day, if you are bringing these countries' names up to complain about them, then why are you using them to defend this asinine ruling in Kenya?

I never defended anything.

Well, you clearly misunderstand the fact that the press are only publishing what their ogas at the top want... and you didnt read my earlier comment well, i talked about new testament too, there were lot of stuff that needed adjustments in the old testament... Besides, Why did APC attack the catholic church for transferring him?? something that is done from time to time to every priest.. including anglican priests.. click on the link below and be enlightened.. Remember, politics is a dirty game.

Oh...I see where this sickness comes from.

You want to force Jehovahs witnesses false doctrine that sprang up yesterday on us.

You're a joker.

JWs are well known for false teachings...like "Jesus is Archangel Michael." 'Heaven is filled up.'

No wonder you believe that people of God should not be involved in politics...and blood transfusion is a sin...and you believed when your organization lied several times that the world was coming to an end on so and so date...and all the dates have passed.

Do the JWs also believe that if Mbaka preaches Jesus to Buhari, he must tell it to the press?

Brother, Politics is a Dirty Game...

Shifting the goalpost..

So now the sin is not a priest taking sides, it is taking sides with unbelievers?

Who is your neighbour, according to Jesus?

And do the press know every single thing that Buhari and Mbaka discussed? Are you thinking or just hating?

OK, wait for Fr Mbaka to text you that he has told Buhari to accept Jesus as Lord.
