Is it not also better to say what age group will be attending
like for example i would not like to go to a gathering where the age is mostly pple in their teens@16,17,18 etc peeps
Or end up in a gathering full of peeps who re in their late 30s 40s,50,or even 60s.

Besides Finland is that part of schegen ?

Good idea ! finding a central place is a good idea
And if pple can make appoinment to meet somewhere and to to this meeting ,so that those coming alone or who have no friends wouldn't be so lonely, then everyone can have a good time.

Hi, it's so easy to get admission abroad as long as you meet the requirements.

Try this site www.braintrack.com, it brings out all schools in the world.

You can choose the school you wish to apply to and get the requirements depending on the region you want to go

Thank you !

Nairaland / General / At 36 Still A Houseboy ? by jacq(f): 6:06pm On Sep 10, 2008
I know someone who ate the age of 36 is still working under someone, like cooking, cleaning, running errands for them etc etc,
but his dream is to set up his own bizzness but the person he is working under promises to help him set up,just a mouth promise no written or signed contract that says he will really do.

Now this friend is asking me for advice on what he should do ,should he keep on hoping his "oga" will help him set up or not ? but a man at 36yrs should be his own man i told him instead of someone else houseboy.

What advice would u give to him if he was your friend ?

My friend who went home recently told me that when his brother came to pick him up from the airoprt ,lagos airport
arrival side the brother was not even allowed inside the premises (sp) (i wonder bicos u see alot of those boys hustling on the arrival premisse when u step outside the arrvival hall )is this possible ? the brother has to wait outside the gate near the bridge side on the right side.
and when he was leaving the guard on the departure door side said his brothers has to bribe him before he can escort my friend inside the airport, bicos since my friend brother is not travelling out he has nothing to do inside the airport and ofcourse he was given 500naira before he could go inide the departure hall .

Has anyone experience all this headache ?
damiso:

very very true.i think the airport should be extended or probably some international flights moved to the new domestic wing where billions of naira was spent.that way there is more space.i think apart from the touts and fear of chaos that terminal is just too small for the no of flights that depart and arrive at the airport. The FAAN is really not so progressive thinking as we now have quite a huge traffic compared to when the airport was built in the 70's.A relatively new city like Dubai has had so much work and extension done to accomodate the amount of air traffic they anticipate in years to come.Nigeria and lagos to be exact is an important gateway to Africa and should therefore have a decent and BIG enough intl airport.it is really irritating when security officials make you wait at the gate like some refugee.I remember having a confrontation with one of them sometime this year when i went to pick up my husband.I was so mad at the way h espoke to me like i was going to be paid for going into the airport. It is particularly annoying when you have been to other airports outside naija. After so much blasting of grammar he eventually let me in but still denied my brother entry into heaven. It is really is a bad first image not to talk of the stupid customs who once asked me to drop something when departing.I was a bloody student who was going on holiday and calculated very 10p for my trip.I refused and the foolish woman almost made me miss my flight.

I think its very frustrating when u go thru all the other airport's where things go smothly u re not asked to pay some money to pass thru a door grin and in naija u have to very depressing.

@ poster

Personally,i can't advice you not to go abroad for your studies. But as sweet as it looks, there are some bitter truth which you can only find out when you get there. Europe is the same irrespective of the country you are going to. Taxes must be paid,Bills will be collected and so on and so forth.
Life, generally,in europe is expensive. But the longer you stay the more you get used to it and you will eventually be comfortable. Forget about being rich like the likes of our thieving politicians. If you keep your head up high enough you will eventually be better than the GLO guy that earns N22million a year. Its going to be a very very tough at the beginning but you should be fine if you are prepared for the shits that comes with it. My advice is that you should be prepared for the most tasking time of your life,if you haven't already had one. You need to be there to know. Wish you luck.

So much truth in what u wrote here ! Every beginning is always hard expecially if u have no friend or families to show u the way,but give ur self 5 yrs in any europe country and you will feel comfortable in the country but like everything in life you need patience.

What is wrong being a Nurse or working as a carer ?
i would be too glad to work caring for people that needs it instead of walking the streets selling drugs or doing nothing at all .
Family / Re: What Do You Think Of Someone With A White Godmother, father Or Adopted By White ? by jacq(f): 5:54pm On Aug 07, 2008
At 28 yrs old i wonder why anyone will want to be adopted;when small children at 18 are dying to move out of the house and be free.
If its to inherit something from the white people that is just pure selfishness,.Getting adopted at 28 in my eyes is just blimey crazy !

Family / Don't Marry In That Village Oh ! by jacq(f): 12:40pm On Aug 03, 2008
I just hate it so much to hear some parents talk about some tribes their children are dating from or wants to get married to someone from there and they will start saying things like.

Na so so juju full that village and they only mùarry their own.
when you marry into that tribe who will never get pregnant bicos you cross the juju when dey the village.
That place is too far,his parents are witches/or dem dey fly for night.
, it get so lipsrsealed

My friend wants to marry someone from okoja (cross river) and her mum is saying the place is full of voodoo and witches.
