I take God beg una.! If you’re from a rich home or have a wealthy sponsor, you better choose to migrate to those big countries of America, Canada, Australia and the likes over Finland oh....Those countries are way better for hustlers oh..Only consider here when those countries are not accessible by you, I have never seen anyone that they gave sugar and he spat it out undecided

A word is enough for the wise

And how about New Zealand sir?

I think if you've got your license, you can do deliveries for the likes of Domino pizza, I know a couple of students doing this here. Although they are Arabic guys. Does the delivery in Finland contribute to your working hours as a student? How much can you make off it doing deliveries in Finland in a month?
no
It doesn't contribute to your working hours boss. No idea on pay

This is subjective as it will depend on your preference and circumstances in either of the country. Both of them have their Pros and Cons. Just like Femi said, Finland will offer you more access to the European market/Countries. This is because of Finland being an EU/Schengen country, you can travel freely and live within the Schengen area and if you ever become their citizen it means the entire EU countries.

However, as a stand alone countries or maybe moving to any of them as a student, I will say that New Zealand is better if you don't mind the expensive tuition fees here. New Zealand is more interesting than Finland, beautiful nature and heaps of outdoor activities. The weather here is way better than Finland, the students have more opportunities here (I know this because I know people who studied or still studying in Finland so their experiences and economic status formed the basis of my judgement), Almost everyone here speaks English so it's easier to settle in and integrate faster. Kiwis are some of the most polite people on earth. I also think you can make more money here and save better with a good strategy.
Oh really ? Because there's sth like delivery person in finland, where you get to deliver food with you car, a very good hustle for a student
Is it over there in NEW details? BTW there are scholarships opportunities in NZ though

USA if you are into IT or if you studied an IT related course in college.
CANADA if you are into Medicine & Healthcare, Construction, Oil&Gas etc.

I think it depends on your profession.
i meant btw new zealand and finland, for someone who would want to move to us or canada after studies sir

Economically Europe and Most Europeans countries are a bigger market but you might face Language barrier and other things faced by people of colour all around the world.

On the other hand, NZ is a smaller market, no major language barrier, unemployment rate is less than 5% so which means u will always get something to do while studying. Kiwis are generally welcoming no matter where u from. But as a student visa holder, u can only work 20hrs/ week.

Hope this is helpful

Yes. God bless you. Thanks

And for someone who would want to move to US or Canada after studies, which of them would you advise to opt for?

Guys I need to know about the tuition fees
What do you need to know? Tuition fees vary from school to school, maybe you'll do a research on schools in finland, check for your preferred course and see the tuition fee.

Brotherly OAMK requires entrance exam oh. You either do SAT or you sit for the entrance exam.
Also you don't need to take any English language exam because the SAT or the entrance exam will be used to test your English language proficiency. Personally I would advise you to take SAT but OAMK only receives your test results from College Board through post they dont collect electronic score report so be sure to do the test well in advance
Also i think there are interviews alongside the SAT

Sure but you have to establish how you generated the funds; inheritance? Employment? Business? Each of these must be well documented, A will, employment docs, business registration (CAC) + receipts+invoices etc.

Thanks a milli

??1; Am not in Finland but I do believe that Nigerians are studying over there in both bachelor's and masters programs
??2; I don't think so, infact I am sure age is not a barrier
??3; No, not all Bachelor's programs are taught in English, but most of the English Bachelor's programs are taught in Finnish universities of applied sciences(UAS)
??4; I have no idea, but Nursing is one of the most popular English bachelor's in Finland
??5; Yes, some UAS offer scholarship to students who have been admitted to their programs, infact most schools offer scholarships to international students but not all of them give scholarships to newly admitted students

I just finished reading from page 1 to present.
I feel like I'm in finland already. Lol

Op thank you so much for all that you do.
I appreciate everyone contributing to this beautiful thread.

My question,
I intend going for an undergraduate studies? Is any nigeria in finland running an undergraduate program currently?

Secondly I'm 24, is age going to be a barrier?

3rdly, are all undergraduate courses and programmes still taught in finnish?

Fourthly, i was an Art student in o'Level, and would love to pursue in degree in Nursing as against my media/communication preference, for the sake of survival. Would this be a problem?

Lastly, can a prospective undergraduate student be offered scholarship? If yes advises pleass

Somebody please?

Minus the 3red question, i read that UAS has courses taught in English language for undergraduate studies. To whom it may concern smiley

And this is a classical example with regards to my earlier post.

"I submitted some docs available at the time but not all." This "could" mean means NeeYoh did not submit ALL the documents needed.

When your application to study here starts taking long despite having scholarship, it simply means you did not package it well. It might take long (some are still positive) bc the outcome variables rest on their hand if they are convinced. But if you package your application well, their hands are forced to give u whether they like it or not.

Thirdly and most importantly, if you are using a sponsor, your chances are like 50-50. There are so many documents and loopholes migri can exploit to deny you and you might get confused on what to present. The best way still remains self sponsor.

Self sponsor for a prospective undergraduate student? Who's 24? Hope that wouldn't be a problem as to how the students got the money sir? Asking for my sake.

They accept open university. So I advice you go for B.Sc in Finland if you don't want to enrol in PGD in Nigeria or open university in Nigeria
Do you mean starting all over in open university?

I was once in your shoes. I had HND and applied. They replied me that they don't accept HND for masters degree. I enrolled into PGD in Nigeria, completed it and reapplied. I was accepted.

Aalto will not admit you even with HND and PGD. Anything less than B.Sc is a red flag for them.

LUT don't accept HND for MSC oooo

Please what's the duration for PGD?

Make up your mind and direct all your energies into one country...otherwise, you really would be stuck sort of....I had made friends on the other student thread for Finland before I left Naija...The guys were extremely helpful to me then too, because they noticed I was not just making enquiries, so they led me sort of while I did my own part then in Lag...Like I said in the beginning of this thread, I had known I would come here, and I remember studying my Finnish even while doing my shoe business between Lag and Abj...Also, try to do EVERYTHING by yourself, the internet is our goldmine in this generation, do not understimate it.

Thanks so much for your input sir.
Awaiting your response to my other questions

Because it is cheaper to pay taxes to the Estonian govt, although there are certain rules governing this idea, many companies do so, especially entrepreneurs...Life here is not bad at all...But one has to overcome certain odds anyway, compared to those migrating to USA, Canada or Australia.. smiley

Please can you throw more light on the bolded , maybe outlined advantages and disadvantages . please boss.

It all depends...Norway is a very expensive country, trust me, it is a tough destination for migrants without adequate source of finance, but once you settle there with a job, salaries are among the highest in Europe, but of course, taxes and cost of living are also among the highest. Estonia is still upcoming, most Finns go there to chill and situate their businesses cos of lower taxes, but even Estonians are hustling with us migrants for menial jobs here gan...their country looks up to Finland. I don´t know much about Iceland. As for Poland, the only thing I hear from my niggaz that have gone to Gdansk is how sexy their women are...shey na sexy wan gimme money ni?

Remember that some Naija guys are in Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Angola and are multi millionaires...Nor be name be everything, even some peeps are making it big in same Naija...so finally, follow your instincts, they NEVER LIE....
