hurricanesgrace: So sorry about CIC's ill-favoured decision on your 3rd application. I know exactly how traumatising this could be brother/sister because I have been there before likewise many in the house. I love your 'Never-say-die' spirit for reapplying a second and third time, also i understand how much of your invaluable time and resources you must have invested in this good fight. Come to think of it sir/ma, you are fighting for a good course and it is not worth quitting now. Please don't kill that 'Never-say-die' spirit within you and settle for less by accepting defeat now, I am convinced that you are close to victory. Kindly draw more strength from within and encourage yourself cos no one can do it better than you, also request for your GCMS note and seek advise where necessary to block every loophole before reapplying. I hope this helps. 2 Likes |

reichwolf: How old is your application? Please do not message CIC yet as your application has not gone beyond the processing time, even if you did you might not get any response and this can read desperation which might force them to deny you approval. If you have passed medical, the possibility of receiving approval is high, also since they are reviewing your eligibility, decision will be reached in no time. I would advise you message the school that CIC is yet to reach a final decision on your application and that this is beyond your control. You can also attach a screen shot of your online profile to the message. I hope this helps. |

jnyuwa02: True... higher standard of education is debatable as different folks have different views to foster their claims. Your case is different, no doubts, US graduates don't need WES assessment to further their education in Canada as both countries have similar educational standard aside from Quebec province which requires the applicant to prove his fluency in french. The guy in question schooled in Nigeria and asked whether he could use US WES academic assessment for entry into Canadian school. If this is possible why is US WES assessment different from that of WES Canada? The fact that both countries have comparable educational system does not mean that they use the same criteria in assessing one's credentials. WES US assesses to meet the benchmark for entry into US schools likewise WES Canada does same to satisfy the needs for admission into Canadian schools. See as i dey argue self yet files full my table... abegi back to office tins. 1 Like |

jnyuwa02: I would advise you heighten your research on this bro... A friend tried to use WES academic assessment to gain admission into a Canadian university but did not succeed. He has to apply for WES Canada assessment. US and Canada may have similar academic standard but research shows that Canadian is higher |

jnyuwa02: This is not true... The report you received from WES Canada/US compares your degree with Canadian/US equivalents, so US WES assessment would not be valid for Canadian Education as it would only mention if your degree is equivalent to a US degree or not. |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by joe10: 8:30am On Aug 01, 2018 |
Pinkandblue26: You cannot use US WES assessment for admission into Canadian school. On WES website where you apply for assessment, you have the option of choosing WES Canada if your assessment is to be used in Canada either for academic or PR and you pay in Canadian dollars. Same applies to US WES assessment where you pay in US dollars and can only be used in the US. I hope this helps. 2 Likes |

Biakwa: No... It was refused. I did upfront medical and resubmitted same medical result for second application. Hope you requested for your GCMS note and properly reviewed it before reapplying to block previous loopholes. Like I said earlier, When it comes to paper application delay is normal. Since you did not do upfront medical I would advise not to message them so soon as it might read desperation. The gurus can advise you better on this. I hope this helps. 1 Like |

Fleshly: I do not think it is necessary for you to submit your SOA if your sponsor has sufficient fund and you are submitting his SOA. But, you can submit your SOA/pay slip to reveal your monthly pay if you have work experience or still working just to boost your claim. I hope this helps. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Biakwa: My profile was updated few days after sending messages to CIC informing her that my application have exceeded the normal processing time. Kindly note that when i applied the processing time was 6 weeks but i sent the message when it was close to 9 weeks. The processing time is currently 9 weeks, so i would advise you send them message after 3rd of August informing them that your application has exceeded the 9 weeks PT as at when you applied. Normally one would expect that final decision is reached quickly without delay because you are reapplying, but this is not always the case when it comes to online application. Someone recently shared her experience here where her 2nd online application was approved in 3 months, also we i read the messages of some applicants who reapplied via paper routes and got approvals within 3-4weeks. All you need right now is to douse down all tensions, be optimistic and seek God's favour. I hope this helps. 1 Like |

Cherryola: I cannot dispute your claim dear friend... I only shared my experience cos i think it might encourage someone out there who is willing to take the bull by the horn rather than dwelling on hear say. Before i visited VFS, i read here that many booked appointment but very few submitted same day without prior appointment. I resolute to submit same day and succeeded but I met people who came just to book appointment and regretted not bringing their documents along as the there was no huge crowd. As i said earlier 'No guts no Glory'. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Cherryola: You can have it done same day when you arrive early enough. When i submitted mine i arrived as early as 5:30AM, was number 3 on the queue and submitted same day without previous appointment. 'No guts no glory' if Chevron invited for a job interview at 5:30AM, i strongly believe you could make it before the appointment. 1 Like |

Omowunmibaby: My simple advise is that you use the paper route because 'what will be will always be' regardless of the type of application method chosen. There is so much delay from the online route which does not guarantee TRV approval at the end. So traumatising... Imagine someone whose application was tied down for 12 weeks without a medical call and the outcome was refusal. Mine was delayed for 9 weeks, If i didn't send messages across who knows, could have been 12 weeks as well. Paper route refusal messages are always sent within a month, we have seen cases on this forum where applicants get TRV refusal messages in 2-3 weeks after application submission, at least such applicant has ample time to request for his/her GCMS note before reapplying in the next one or two months. Also, using Paper route your forms will be thoroughly vetted by VFS attendants to ensure all I's and T's are properly dotted and crossed. However, each application method has its pros and cons but i think paper route is a better option for now going by the current ill-favoured delayed decision from paper route . You can visit VFS office and submit same day provided you get early enough. I hope this helps. 1 Like |

wealth360: I never knew this includes my educational history. I have worked for three organisations within these 4yrs but to make it complete the required 10yrs i stated that i worked 7yrs with an organisation whereas i worked for only 1yr. I hope the VO will not find anything wrong with this sha. Thanks for the enlightenment. |

Good day pals... Please before submitting my application documents at the VFS office. The attendant that verified my documents said i must record 10 years work history even though i told him that i only have 4 years work experience as evidenced on my submitted offer letter. i had to edit and reprint my application form. Hope this won't be an issue when the VO finds out that my actual work experience is 4yrs but stated 10yrs on my application form. Has anyone experienced similar case cos i am worried about this? |

ngunaniveren: Sorry about the unfavourable outcome of your application. Check the last correspondence CIC sent to you online account, it ought to be there. I would advise you postpone your admission to next year as you cannot meet the September 5th resumption date when you reapply now. Also, you can apply for your GCMS note so that you can fix every grey area ticked by the VO and adequately prepare for your next application. The Gurus will input their views. I hope this helps. |

sopho: When did you submit your application? If you submitted your application recently, you can request that your application be withdrawn stating reason(s) for withdrawal rather than taking such expensive risk considering what the consequence might be. But i cannot tell whether you can recoup your application fee or not, however it is advisable to forfeit your application fee than risk being banned. This image is from VFS website. Just a piece of advice.

kpizzle: There is no crowd today. If you get there early enough you will be attended to same day, only those who get there late are given appointment for another day. I was there earlier and duly attended to without previous appointment. But those who had appointment for today were given preferential treatment before first time comers. Simple advice, if you to want to be attended to same day without having to book appointment for another day, arrive there as early as 6:00AM. I got there 5:30AM and was no 3 on the queue. I hope this might help someone 3 Likes |

I was initially refused on the ground of 'Purpose of Visit' and i have valid reasons with evidence which takes about 3pages. Your input is highly appreciated |
