At the detriment of who?. If GEJ can not stop Boko Haram now, I see no reason why he'll be able to do that come 2019, and the number of lives lost will be in thousands...

God forbid bad thing!.
Now I understand whom you are!!!
Let Buhari come and stop boko haram then, if you sure he will do that.

You are just a typical example of persons the op is preaching to.

God bless Nigeria!

Huh! Listen to yourself, If GEJ wins, this blood sucking terrorists will still continue.
Read my line very well... I didn't say, it won't continue. But their intention of islamization and others would not be achieved.

Good luck to Nigeria!

I am waiting for this election to be over and Jonathan wins a second term in office

The North must do some soul searching and ask the question "was the killings really worth it?"
Honestly, I really wish he wins the election so that, those terrorists disturbing the peace of this Nation will know there is no good gain about terrorism.

Career / Re: Between Master's Degree And Professional Course by Joy83(m): 6:44pm On Nov 02, 2014
If that's the only two options available, i will say Masters degree should be the first to get. Mostly multinational companies require M.Sc degree as added advantage to a job that requires first degree alone, without saying professional courses most time.
As a matter of fact, most big companies will send their employers for professional courses depending on the needs of the company. But it is very rare for a company to send staff for a Master's degree.

So professional courses may be a waste if you are not in a company first, bacause that particular course may not be relevant to the company. But master's degree is versatile to fit in as to any big company.

Where on earth will lectures commence without registration? Dat's far from truth. Please always verify ur info before posting it here.
Sit down there and be disputing that. During your undergraduate days, must every body pays school fee and does course registration before lectures commence?
It is not necessary you believe, but some department like Statistics and English department have started receiving lectures ooooooo. While some other department like mine insist we must register before lectures can commence.
May God safe us from this unfair way Unilorin is treating us even after obtaining their form with our money and did the right thing.

This suspense is too sadistic. Only God can deliver us from this Unilorin dilemma.

se u no knw sey oil moni sweet. my dad has work with some onshore companies like lee . i can remember otorogu gas plant. then swamps like odidi he has also gone to oben. he wanted me to do mech
Okay ooooo. But as a female, you can still use your food engineering career to be preparing food for those really doing the oil and gas work and at the same time engineering the food in your hubby home. lol.
So just look for a way in which your course can fit into offshore job.

Good luck!!!

Food Engineering is good course, though I am hearing for the first time. I know of food technology.
It is better you develop your passion towards the fortune food engineering can provide for you than eyeing oil jobs which already have enough population at the door begging to enter.

Better days ahead!!!

has anybody successfully applied for this job because I am unable to upload my cv and cover letter
Try to use normal phone browser, and while you click on that option do not attempt to zoom it or otherwise. Try to navigate on upload page directly without any attempt to zoom it. I just did mine successfully.

Good luck to you

I know getting job as a geologist is not easy but when you get one you re made for life... hope you re current with the recent recruitment? You just need to be updated in the oil and gas so you can have more chances...
Nice to meet my fellow geologist...
It is my pleasure to meet you also.
I finished from AAUA. I got the update about some companies like Shell, Oando, and GE, and I have applied to them all...

if you can do soil tests, and drill bore holes, that alone can keep self employed even if you dont get oil companies where most of your guys go. I belong to the group 2, and im self employed, we often require those two services i mentioned above, but can you perform is the question
I can really perform in those areas if I can get a helping hand to start something. That can help to get something doing than sleeping at home for close to 5months now.
I will appreciate your support in this regard sir!

Thanks.

Do you mean the most lucrative jobs ? No course has employed people in Nig more than education/teaching. many people are crossing to education when they cant get job. but the pay is generally poor.
So, is education/teaching now a course or profession?

SORRY my dear fresher, theres no much future for that course over here !sorry i burst your bubbles and went straight!,forget that thing our op put up there,i am so sure he is not into d labour market or that grown up socially, the best u can do now is go for masters(if d strenght is there),then start wit either a COE or a state poly, from there climbin up d academic ladder will not be a problem.this i promise u ,u will never regret.pls build up your career around education.ignore what others might be sayin for now,it will say later.for now you will only be gettin teaching jobs, which you might not want wit a secondary school.God Bless U

Can someone elucidate more if geology is still lucrative or not

I am proud to be a geologist
