i hv never heard that the most successful marriage(s) are the ones where virgins where involved.
But you have heard that most successful marriages are the one where non-virgins were involved.
You must be a hypocrite!!!
Let's call a spade a spade, and stop beating around the bush. The situation of non-virgins going into marriage is as a result of HIGH MORAL DECADENCE in your life and others in the society.
Let's us not call wrong right because we are trending the wrong path. I know your kind of person will be preaching to their biological daughters to start sleeping around with male before finally going into marriage because you have seen many virgins marriage not successful Can you do that?

I plead with we youth, let's try and look for ways to stop applauding moral decadence but see how we can move to the right path of good moral value as it was. Because if this trend continues, soon prostitution will be legalized and the future of this Great Country Nigeria may be jeopardize due to immoral value protruding into corruption life more than what we have now.
Let's play our part to safe the future of this country for better living of our generation and generations to come.
Great Youth, Great Nigeria Our Fatherland!!!

THE FUTURE OF THIS COUNTRY LIES IN OUR HAND...

xtian MEN or WOMEN, who kips virginity more? any answer?
It more important to men and woman, because at some in time, they will be joined together maritally. So both need to bring to the family their undefiled body to attract God's abundant blessing for obeying the Lord by keeping HIS temple clean.

Am proud to be one!

Or do we need foreign coach?

Career / Re: Should I Take The Job Or Leave For Canada? by Joy83(m): 5:54pm On Oct 11, 2014
What a dilemma!!!
I read about your wedding planning which is coming up in December, congratulation in advance.
But mind you, you don't have a job and your propose wife is working outside the country. Please who is gonna sponsor the wedding? Your wife or parent
Please you are a man, so don't plan wedding without having a job at hand at least get some money yourself even if there is enough support.
Moreover, your going to Canada is not that a job is waiting for you there, whereas you are trying to say NO to a federal govt job here.

Therefore, my candid advice is this: take up the federal govt job here, while your intending wife is helping you to getting a Job over there(thank God you have a good qualification), then after your december wedding, job must have been reading for you in canada, so you will just move to canada after the wedding. It is govt job you have here which you can resign any time. This will even help in proper planning of your wedding with your relative, unlike when you move there and later come back before december wedding.

Advice continues... Lemme pause here!

Good day house,
I just decided to Google petroleum Engineers on Nairaland today and I found this thread.I'm a Petroleum Engineer ,I have an Msc also in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot Watt University with a 3.6/4.0 GPA.The irony about this is that I have been trying to get a job for Years now,but to no avail,so I'm learning to sew..... Maybe my hand work would produce something tangible.
Can this be real! A boss of mine also finished from that school, now work in chevron.
Where have we got it wrong in Nigeria that person with your profile can be jobless for more than a year.
It is well with us... Wishing you good luck soonest!

Politics / If Woman Becomes President Or Governor In Nigeria, Her Husband Will Be What??? by Joy83(m): 7:09am On Oct 10, 2014
The way politicians have rated president or governors' wife today calls for re-thinking. As a president's wife, the wife is automatically entitled to a political post of FIRST LADY like we have our Mama Peace( Dame Dr. Patience Jonathan), with which she will have other personnel working with her in the office of the first lady of Nigeria. This goes with a lot of financial benefit including huge allowances and for her cohort.
I was just thinking of a situation where we have woman as the president of Nigeria (giant of Africa), what will now be the position of the husband in the country?
Are we going to have First Guy, or First Big Boy, or First Man, or First Male??
Will the position of First Man goes with lot of financial benefit as we have for first lady as well??
What will his activities look like and we have in First Lady??

Hmmmm, the answers to this would give a clue to the possibility of woman becoming a political leader in this our GREAT COUNTRY, because we have overrated the position of First Lady with lot of financial commitment and abundant resource involved, as separate from the original one going to the real political leader (President or Governor).

Let's get the ball rolling as your opinions matter!!!

Kingsleyagu:
What I want u guys to understand is that being a virgin is not a choice, is lack of opportunity...
You just talked like a complete novice in life matters and a SLAVE of Life through sex thinking it is a huge opportunity to have sex. For the fact that there is moral decadence in the society doesn't mean morality is bad or as a result of lack of opportunity . Having sex with a woman is one of the cheapest things and readily available things we have in our environment today, due to the kind of unashamed ladies and peer pressure that pervade our environment.
Our ladies of today will even cajole men, even married men to have sex with them due to their poor mentality.
If a man want to have sex with 3 ladies in a day, it is quite possible, because it is very cheap and almost free commodity. But it takes only a great and self control man to stay without sex till marriage due to enormous temptation these so called today's ladies put men.
Personally, I have passed through university and other organization in a very active capacity where I had many encounter with females that admired me and even tempted me to have sex with them, yet I overcame such challenges without having sex and still remain undefiled. Will you call my virginity LACK OF OPPORTUNITY
I implore you, do not term your non-virginity as an achievement, while saying Virginity is lack of opportunity.

I can't imagine the kind of youth that Nigeria has which will take over leadership position tomorrow if people like you are allowed to advice more younger people on moral decadence, telling people virginity is a lack of opportunity.

For the fact that majority are going through the wrong road doesn't mean a right road doesn't exist somewhere.

GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!!

After a successful game play... Job well done Fitiri and his cohort.
Victory to PDP in all because in all, no loser, PDP still in power.
It is now on record that you have served as governor before with financial benefit.

What a film!!! If not, what could have propelled the former deputy governor to write a resignation letter in the first place, that we are now saying the letter did not pass through ex governor before taking it to house of assembly, and still house hurriedly approved it without considering due process, among the house that is more 20 honourables representing their constituency. He later took the case to court that his resignation letter did not follow protocol, and yet he won at the law court.

Interesting...

Lmao...not interested in that anymore, Miss Big Head. tongue

Apparently, I read somewhere that your Ondo folks despise the Ijebus that most. Why's that? - please educate me.

And from my scholarship, I think Ijebus are somewhat historically closer to a few Yoruba subgroups in Ondo. For example: every time I read about Ijebu arts and crafts, they're always compared to Owo's. Most scholars allude to the similarities between the two. Then you have Mahin/Ilaje who're also somewhat close to Waterside Ijebu and Itsekiris.

Let's turn the thread into a history session. I wanna see if your knowledge of Yoruba history is as extensive as what you know about international politics. grin And I hope you don't hate Ijebus as well.
Your contribution is very outstanding!
I am really enjoying all these historical thing, because I don't know more about history (I'm a geologist). In the course of this, I have also downloaded a published work on Ijebu history as uploaded by coogar here. It is really interesting I must say.
I now cherish history ooooooooo
