Nigerians are not left out of these issues, people prefer, spending on food stuffs rather buying condom.According to Divine supermarket in Lagos, they experienced shortage demand of condoms from their customers during the coronavirus outbreak.

In Ghana, many woman complaining of sex that their partners are not using condoms but having sex intercourse every minutes of the days and government authority should come to their aids.

Britons are having less sex because of the coronavirus lockdown, according to the maker of Durex condoms.

Laxman Narasimhan, chief executive of Reckitt Benckiser, said sales of condoms had been hit particularly hard in the UK and Italy – with restrictions ‘limiting the number of intimate occasions’.

However, sales have not been affected in China, where restrictions are now being lifted.

Mr Narasimhan said social distancing had limited opportunities for sex and couples were being less intimate than usual, possibly because of stress.

‘Intimate occasions are going down and that is a manifestation of anxiety,’ the chief executive added.

Mr Narasimhan added that young people in the UK were having ‘significantly’ less sex than before.

At the same time, the consumer goods giant yesterday revealed that other parts of its business have been supercharged by the pandemic, with hygiene and health products flying off supermarket shelves.

It also noted that it expected demand for condoms to recover when lockdown ends, and said its condom factories would not scale back production.

However, condom manufacturers around the world have warned of the impact of coronavirus.

Karex, the world’s largest condom producer which makes one in five of all condoms, closed three of its factories.

The firm warned it expects to produce 200m fewer condoms than usual from mid-March to mid-April.

Goh Miah Kiat, Karex’s chief executive, told AFP earlier this month: ‘The world will definitely see a condom shortage.

‘It’s challenging, but we are trying our best right now to do whatever we can. It is definitely a major concern – a condom is an essential medical device.’

The government was asked about the impact of coronavirus on romance and relationships at the start of the lockdown.

In response, it was suggested the restrictions are an opportunity to ‘test relationships’.

Jenny Harries, the deputy chief medical officer, said: ‘If the two halves of a couple are currently in separate households, ideally they should stay in those households.

‘The alternative might be that, for quite a significant period going forwards, they should test the strength of their relationship and decide whether one wishes to be permanently resident in another household.

Romance / Stripper Entertained Guests Amidst COVID-19 Outbreak In Chicago Viral by jumia1: 4:36pm On May 01, 2020
Yet another wild video shows a large crowd gathering in a Chicago apartment for a party, but this time they have a stripper for the unhygienic occasion.

The clip comes as Chicago police charge a woman in connection to another party that had more than 1,000 in attendance.

The latest footage, filmed by Marlene Ellis in Chicago, shows a woman dancing to music as partygoers throw money onto her. While she is wearing a top, it does not appear that she is dress well while dancing.

Footage obtained by TMZ shows that no one in the crowd was wearing masks or any form of protective gloves, and social distancing was clearly not in existence.

The video comes as Chicago police cite a homeowner for disorderly conduct following a crowded weekend house party that was later condemned by Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

Officers responded to the northwest side home early Sunday after receiving multiple calls and dispersed about 50 people from the residence, Chicago police spokesman Luis Agostini said. Illinois is under a statewide stay-at-home order as part of efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus, and the party drew media attention after video from it was posted online.

Some partiers were seen wearing face masks despite standing mere centimeters from other people in the packed room.

'[There] were about 1,000 people in the yard and in the house. It was really crowded and hot,' one 23-year-old attendee said to MTO News.

'I'm not worried about [the coronavirus]…but if I didn't have it before, I probably got it now. Oh well,' she added.

The source said attendees were enjoying themselves and were not worried about the coronavirus pandemic, which has infected 48,100 people and killed more than 2,100 in Illinois.

Videos emerged on social media showing the raucous group dancing, drinking, and chatting in a packed room on Saturday, ignoring warnings to practice social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Lightfoot and Pritzker have been strict in their lockdown orders, barring people from leaving their homes except for essential trips and banning gatherings of over 10 people through May 30.

However, the group of youngsters defied all preventative measures and gathered for an evening of fun.

Health / Trump Has Confirmed That The Coronavirus Started In China Virology Lab by jumia1: 7:27am On May 01, 2020
President Donald Trump said he has seen evidence that coronavirus started in the Wuhan virology laboratory, as he warned he could impose tariffs of $1 trillion on China in retribution for the pandemic.

The president made the explosive charge that the coronavirus that has caused millions of infections and wreaked havoc on the global economy may have been created in the Chinese lab during his coronavirus press briefing Thursday.

He also suggested the federal government is exploring ways to punish China for triggering the outbreak by imposing tariffs but he stopped short of saying he would refuse to pay back US debts.

'Yes I have. Yes I have,' Trump said when asked if he has confidence that the Wuhan Institute of Technology was the origin of the virus.

The lab is located near a wet market that has been identified as the likely epicenter of the outbreak that took place late last year.

The president would not disclose what the evidence was that confirmed his suspicions.

When asked if he would consider refusing to pay US's debts to China as punishment, the president said he 'could do it differently' and suggested the US will impose high tariffs of around $1 trillion on the nation.

'I could do the same thing but even for more money just putting on tariffs,' he said.

'So I don't need to do that. It's approximately a trillion dollars - a little bit more I understand but we can do that in probably a little bit more of a forthright manner.'

Trump said withholding debt payments would be a 'rough game' that could damage the 'sanctity' of the dollar and ruled out taking this approach.

'You start playing those games and that's tough,' he continued.

'We have the dollar to protect. We want to protect the sanctity of the dollar, the importance of the dollar. It's the greatest currency in the history of the world.'

The president continued: 'It's a good question to say, 'well oh gee, we owe you a certain amount of money, we're going to keep it'. But when you start playing that game you really start hurting the sanctity of the greatest currency on earth but we can do it in other ways.

'We can do it with tariffs. We can do it with other ways beyond that without having to play that game - that's a rough game.'

Trump's comments came after reports emerged that US administration officials were discussing canceling US debt obligations to China.

US intelligence officials and government agencies were scheduled to meet Thursday to come up with a plan to punish or demand financial compensation from China over the pandemic, two sources told the Washington Post.

One option on the table was to cancel the debt, while another was to strip China of its 'sovereign immunity'.

George Sorial, who formerly served as a top executive at the Trump Organization and has filed a class-action lawsuit against China, told The Post senior White House officials were discussing limiting China's sovereign immunity so that the government could sue China for damages over the pandemic.

Crime / Soldier & Mobile Police Officer Fight Over Who Is More Superior (covid-19) by jumia1: 4:50pm On Apr 30, 2020
A soldier and a mobile police officer were filmed arguing about who is superior.

The verbal altercation took place in the middle of a highway and occured as a result of a disagreement over road usage.

The soldier got out of his car, left the door open, and confronted the mobile police officer who placed himself in front of the car.

"You don't know your senior, abi? Am I your mate?" The police officer said, pointing his finger in the soldier's face.

"Are you my senior?" The soldier countered, adding, "God will punish you. Are you my senior?"

Getting aggressive, the soldier said, "I'll change it for you now. Am I your mate?"

Meanwhile, the police officer kept pointing at him, asking, "you don't know your senior abi?"

As the argument unfolded, citizens, who were sitting on top of bags of goods placed in open trucks, watched both uniformed men with interest.

Health / Chinese Food Street Which Sells Scorpions, Centipedes & Fried Insects Re-opened by jumia1: 4:19pm On Apr 30, 2020
A Chinese food street which sells scorpions, centipedes and other fried insects has reopened after closing for 70 days due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Vendors at the daily night market in Nanning offer various snacks and dishes, such as grilled octopus, spicy crayfish, steamed dumplings and rice cakes.

But what it's most famous for seems to be its 'insect feast'. Stalls treat intrepid diners with all sorts of cooked bugs, from spiders to silkworms.

Situated in the provincial capital of Guangxi, the Zhongshan Road food street closed temporarily at the end of January in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, which started 1,350 kilometres (838 miles) away in Wuhan.

It reopened earlier this month after the number of daily infections dropped sharply across the country.

The food street, a major tourist attraction for the city, opens every day from around 6pm to the wee hours.

Once packed with visitors throughout the week, it now allows in a maximum of 3,000 people – one-tenth of its previous foot traffic - at any one time to prevent the virus from spreading.

Vendors also have to take it in turns to run their stalls and restaurants to keep social distancing. The management has divided all businesses into two groups. Each group is allowed to operate for one week before the other takes over, according to Xinhua.

All stalls must stay 1.8 metres (5ft 10in) between each other.

Visitors must use an official health app to show they are 'healthy' and have their temperature measured before entering the street. They must also wear face masks while browsing.

Footage released by Chinese video outlet Pear shows hawkers selling seafood, stir-fries, desserts and fresh fruit juices after the street reopened.

One hawker confesses that her customer volume has shrunk by half at least while another says she has to cut short opening hours due to a decline in business.

Booths selling bugs are still operating.

The video shows one stall offering deep-fried 'salty and peppery' insects. Diners can pay 15-30 yuan (£1.7-3.4) to gorge on a portion of grasshoppers, crickets, water beetles, spiders, silkworms or stick insects, among others.

Some Chinese people believe that insects are nutritious snacks because of their protein.

Other exotic food items in the market include grilled sea stars and urchins.

The Chinese government has temporarily banned the trading and eating of wild animal meat, a practice believed to have caused the pandemic.

The consumption of insects, which is also observed in various other countries in Asia, is still permitted in China.

Romance / TV News Anchor Is Caught Out When Naked Female Journalist Is Spotted At The Back by jumia1: 6:37am On Apr 30, 2020
A Spanish news anchor was caught out by eagle-eyed viewers when they spotted a semi-naked woman, believed not be his 'Big Brother' star girlfriend, walking behind him while he was live on air.

Alfonso Merlos, 41, was hosting on the Estado de Alarma channel live on YouTube from his home, but was oblivious to what was going on behind him until a national scandal broke out soon after.

Viewers were quick to note that the woman who passed behind did not look like his girlfriend, and discovered that she was in fact a fellow 27-year-old journalist, named Alexia Rivas.

The broadcast was not just scandalous due to the involvement of some famous Spanish TV personalities, but also because Rivas' presence suggested the pair had broken Spain's strict coronavirus social distancing measures to have their fling.
The incident led to accusations of Merlos cheating on his Big Brother star girlfriend Marta López, but he has since insisted that he and López were not together when he was caught out.

After remaining silent on the incident for a number of days amid a storm of media interest and accusations, he has since spoken publicly and appeared to apologise to his ex-girlfriend while appearing on the 'The Ana Rosa show', a Spanish chat show.

'If you think that my attitude has not been correct or that there are things that I have not done well,' he said. 'I have no problem asking for forgiveness, although my goal was not to harm someone else.'
Rivas, the woman spotted behind him, has since added that she has been seeing the anchor for a few weeks, and that he said he was single when they started seeing each other.

'I didn't get into a relationship, he told me he was single. We have been [seeing each other] three weeks,' she told Socialité.

However, in a further twist to the drama, Marta López has said that as far as she was concerned, she was still with Merlos at the time, and has called the situation 'shameful'.

According to Spanish news outlet Lecturas, Merlos and López had fallen out over an ex-boyfriend of hers, causing them to spend four days apart, during which the broadcast occurred.

'I had been mad at Alfonso for four days. He didn't want me to do something that affected my family. I did it, and he got mad. We argue,' she told the outlet.

A call from López's ex, whom she shares a son with, reportedly sparked the argument that led to the pair separating for four days.

López claims that she and Merlos had been together in coronavirus lockdown since March 12, two days before the country implemented some of the world's toughest containment measures, and had spent the first half of the lockdown together until their argument.

Health / Video Shows How Coughing On An Airplane Spreads The Covid-19 Starting by jumia1: 3:48am On Apr 30, 2020
Scientists made it in 2014 to study infectious-disease transmission on aircraft so they can inform on optimal and safe ventilation systems.

Qingyan Chen and colleagues wrote: ‘Infectious diseases, such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and avian flu, can cause significant social and economic disruption.

‘The transmissions of infectious diseases could take place in commercial airliner cabins.’

The model was based on the assumption that the 2003 SARS virus was an airborne disease.

This means the germs from a person’s breathe, sneeze or cough can linger in the air and travel because the droplets are very small in size.

According to the World Health Organization, COVID-19 virus is primarily transmitted between people through respiratory droplets, which are much larger in size.

Larger droplets only travel short distances before falling to the floor, which is why it the ‘safe social distance’ recommended between people is two metres.

Aerosols, on the other hand, are small and can linger in the air for longer and travel further – such as that seen in the GIF.

But there is some compelling evidence to say that SARS-CoV-2 is airborne, despite most of it not being subject to peer review. Or at least, air conditioning systems are to blame for fuelling the virus round a room.

For example, scientists in the US have shown in the laboratory that the virus can survive in an aerosol and remain infectious for at least three hours.

However, the conditions were argued by the WHO to be highly artificial and did not represent what happens if someone coughs in real life.

Evidence is emerging that air conditioning may propel infected droplets round confined spaces – such as an airplane.

One report in a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) journal on April 2 explained how a cluster of cases in Guangzhou, China, may have been fuelled by air-conditioning.

Ten people in three families were diagnosed with the virus after eating at the same restaurant. But the researchers said droplets from coughing and sneezing alone could not explain the spread of the virus.

Jianyun Lu and colleagues concluded that ‘droplet transmission was prompted by air-conditioned ventilation. The key factor for infection was the direction of the airflow.’

Another study published on April 23 in the same journal – Emerging Infectious Diseases – shone light on the ‘alarming’ spread of the coronavirus in an office.

Researchers in Seoul, South Korea, traced thousands of people who were at risk of infection after coming close to an individual with COVID-19.

They defined an at-risk person as one who worked at, lived at, or visited ‘building X’ during February 21 to March 8.

The team tested 1,143 people and 97 tested positive, 94 of whom were working on the 11th floor of a call centre. The first patient worked on the 10th floor.

There were 216 employees on the 11th floor, meaning the virus attacked 43 per cent. All those infected were on the same side of the room.

Shin Young Park and authors wrote: ‘This outbreak shows alarmingly that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) can be exceptionally contagious in crowded office settings such as a call center.

‘The magnitude of the outbreak illustrates how a high-density work environment can become a high-risk site for the spread of COVID-19 and potentially a source of further transmission.’

Both studies were released early and are not final versions.

Romance / Drugs Destroyed This Beautiful Amanda In 4 Months (video) by jumia1: 4:19pm On Apr 27, 2020
Crack cocaine’s adverse effect on the physical and mental health of its users is almost irreparable and this has been captured in a video which went viral after being shared online by a photographer.

The video shared on YouTube by a photographer, Soft White Underbelly captured the rapid deterioration of 24-year-old lady identified as Amanda, after she got addicted to crack cocaine. She became a prostitute and looked almost unrecognizable after she started using drugs.

The photographer who admitted that lots of people will be accusing him exploiting the girl with her story, stated that his “goal is to make people who are strong and capable, wake up so that they can create changes that can prevent this from happening to the next generation of children”.

He wrote;

Before you order me to help Amanda please read this. No can stop Amanda. Not her family, not me, not you, not the church, not the rehab facilities she’s walked out of. No one. The purpose of my channel is to help us understand how and why this happens so that we can try to fix what’s broken in our country and hopefully, prevent the next generation of children from falling through the same cracks as Amanda has. I’m certain there will be a ton of commenters saying I should be “helping” Amanda instead of exploiting her, but you have to understand my aim with this channel of mine.

My goal is to make people who are strong and capable wake up so that we can create changes that can prevent this from happening to the next generation of children, not to try to fix the already broken individuals I photograph. There are many thousands just like Amanda out there. Let’s stop blaming the “exploitive” photographer and look at the real causes of this. There are many hundreds of thousand more Amandas out there and most of them have small children somewhere. Let’s fix the true causes of these problems instead of sitting on your sofa and blaming me. I’m simply informing you of the truth. ML

Apple and Google are joining forces in a bid to develop technology where smartphones can warn users that they may potentially be exposed to coronavirus.

The rival companies are opening up their mobile operating systems so both iPhone and Android devices can run contact tracing apps.

These work by using a mobile’s Bluetooth signals to track every other phone its user has come into close contact with.

The implementation has raised concerns over potential beaches of privacy, though the tech giants insist that the data will be anonymous and that ‘privacy, transparency and consent are of utmost importance.
If a person using the app then tests positive for Covid-19, they can then upload their movements to a public database.

Other users will then be able to anonymously check their own logs against others to see if they’ve potentially been exposed to a carrier of the virus.

If there’s a match, the person will receive a message indicating when and where they might have been exposed, along with guidance as to whether they should just watch for symptoms, seek testing, or self-quarantine.

Contact tracing apps have been used in several other countries outside the US and Europe in an effort to contain the pandemic, including in Singapore and South Korea.

The Czech Republic has announced it will release its own contact tracing app, and the UK, as well as France, Germany, and Italy are all planning to develop similar technology.

Under the plans, the phone records the date, time, distance, and duration of contact between the two devices, but unlike the Find My App feature, it doesn’t use GPS data to ensure the logs remain anonymous.

The app will also periodically create new ID codes for each device to make it hard to trace any interaction back to any specific individual.

‘Privacy, transparency, and consent are of utmost importance in this effort, and we look forward to building this functionality in consultation with interested stakeholders,’ the companies said in a joint statement.

‘We will openly publish information about our work for others to analyse.
